>>>>>[ Well this is a lovely little introduction to this forum. Ungodly paranoia! You should take a leaf out of my book: live in a rural area with five barghests! Just make sure you have some really good cyber ears with sound filters. Trust me, nothing's more annoying than falling paralysed at your doorstep because your puppies are happy to see you.

Speaking of which! A deal fell through and I find myself with some barghest puppies I can't afford to upkeep at the moment. As much as I love my puppies, I strain my budget as it is with five. So if anyone is interested in a howling parazoological critter, I'm selling them at a heavily discounted price! 5,000¥ per puppy! Complete with pedigree papers, if you're at all interested in trying your own hand at breeding. Spread the word! Please. I really don't want to stoop to eating my dog's food again.

<Attached image of a litter of healthy looking monsters barghests>.

Come on, how can you say no to those sweet little faces? :)]<<<<<

>>>>>[ Bien sûr! You insult me, sir (it is sir, yes?). My puppies are from good stock! I've already done some basic training (sit, stay, stop howling you're making a racket, etc.).. More advanced training would be up to the new owners, based on their own needs, of course. I have done some dealings with security firms previously, but this was back when I was still living in Quebec. And my usual middleman is suffering from a mild case of extremely dead. I don't expect him to make a recovery. ]<<<<<

>>>>>[I'd suggest getting some courier runs as a change of pace, but you don't seem the type, and no one I know would take you with out more then a maybe from someone higher then me. Small downside of who I work with.

Also, gotta learn not everyone is out to get you. The chef at Penumbra isn't specifically going to poison/tag all the food, and if you are that paranoid, learn how to discreetly swipe it with a tag eraser a few times, like the rest of us. Besides, poisoning customers is bad for business at a club like that. And given how paranoid you're showing yourself to be, how do you get out of your bolt hole every day, given that anyone could, theoretically, rig any entrance to blow the moment you try to leave? Not a threat, more ponderance and confusion. Then again, I don't get most of those with mental illness beyond the required socio/psychopathy to have jobs like ours.

Vendetta, good show. I was playing the nice bouncer to that troll's angry bouncer.

>>>>>[ As far as their sociability goes... well, I'm not the greatest expert on that, I'm sad to say. I have limited dealings with non-awakened animals, and my greatest area of expertise even then is with barghests. That being said, despite their awakened nature, they are still dogs. While breeds trend towards certain stereotypes, individuals all have their own personalities. Argos, one of my dogs, is essentially a giant softie who loves attention. Gwyllgi, meanwhile, has to be put up in her kennel whenever I have visitors. She's also the reason my lower arms are 'wared up. She did not take kindly to me touching her puppies the first time, I tell you that. <There are about another five paragraphs worth of rambling about her dogs. I've deleted them. You're welcome. --Orbweaver>. If you're in the Seattle area, I can transmit my location to you so you can see the puppies yourself, if you like. For the time being, here's some caretaking concerns relating to barghests you'll probably want to look at before committing to a barghest. <Attached file of things needed for owning and caring for a barghest>, Even if you don't buy, I don't mind the company. Gets a little bit lonely out here, you know, ]<<<<<

>>>>>[Courier runs? Sounds easy.

What does poisoned food have to do with anything? I don't think I'll be poisoned. Why bring that up? And rigging a door to explode? At an apartment complex? What if anyone else uses the door? That'd just give me a warning.]<<<<<

It's quite relaxing! And puppies make everything better. And I do like to entertain, although my albinism and barghest brood puts people off so I don't do much of that. Besides my delivery man who gets me my supplies, you wouldn't have to worry about anyone else other than myself. Think of it as a well-deserved vacation. With puppies. ]<<<<<

Hahaha! What's the point of staying alive if not to have fun and experience the best things in life? Take it from me, I know a lot about having fun and a lot more about people with unfulfilled lives getting killed!

Wow. I'm being all philosophic and drek! That doesn't happen often. Hmmm... Better get back to being me, my rep might be on the line...

>>>>[My squad and I have been hunkered down in a squat since my last post trying our best to decrypt and discover what the frag went on with that Ares team sometime back.  Let me tell you, finding anyone or anything that happened to be around there is proving almost impossible.  If it weren't for the few pieces of vid my boys have pieced together, you'd think this drek never happened.
As for what they've been able to decrypt, it's not much.  They gave me a look at it the other day and all they've been able to reconstruct is maybe two minutes but those two minutes are big.  Mainly it shows an Ares-backed trooper having his helmet knocked off by an opponent's gel round.  Now that's not very big out here in the Desert Wars because everyone thinks headshots show how tough you are, it's what's hiding under the helmet that's interesting.  Multi-faceted eyes, chitinous plates and antenna are not standard on any merc around here, not even some of the freakier changelings on Nikopol's team.  From what I saw during my days of bug hunting some time back, I'd say this bad boy was a roach flesh form but I can't be 100% sure due to the condition of the vid.  What I do know is that once this one was uncovered, the drek hit the fan cause a whole drek load of soldiers on the Ares side started tearing open their armor and showing their true forms.  I don't know what happens after that because we've been unable to reconstruct the file past the point for some reason. I might be going out on a limb here but from the few faces of the metahuman soldiers on the Ares side, they had no idea and were drekking their pants at the sight. Wyrm, I'll have my boys send you the file to see if you and your buddies can do anything with it cause we've done all we can and I've put off my meet with Nikopol and Scale long enough.  With this season of Desert Wars now officially over (oddly enough my squad, the Iron Knights, ended up with a fourth place ranking in Infantry even though the unit we were working with was drek), I've no really good reason to avoid it.]<<<<<<

>>>>>[Speaking of having paracritter guards, I know this one noble near Malek'thas that convinced a mating pair of sea serpents to guard his lake house. He said that they were from the Loch Ness pod. And there is one guy I know who has a mating pair of Basilisks patrol his back yard. Not actually as inconvenient as you'd think, especially since he's the type that hates unannounced visitors. The idea is to make anyone coming to his house go down the main road, or come to the helipad on the roof. Anyone who comes in otherwise is lunch.]<<<<<
