Either way, they'll be trouble, so I'd suggest picking up some grenades at the Crime Mall. But if you want to break into the big time, then you're going to start getting jobs involving people who WILL be missed, and there WILL be people looking to find any way to track the killer, and through them, the one who hired them. And if they got to burn all your contacts to get to you, they will.]<<<<<

As for tests, you shouldn't be too surprised. You're a new runner without much in the way of a rep and what rep you do have is as a cop. But think back to when you first started at the Star. You didn't just show up one day, apply for a job, and walk out the same day with a badge and gun, right? No matter what job, there's going to be some testing going on, to make sure you can do the job, and that you can be trusted. Higher the stakes, the higher the level of testing. Even in countries where there is mandatory military service, they still at least do medical, physical, and psyche tests, to make sure they don't give some idiot who can barely see an assault cannon. If the fixer was saying he'd bring you in on 'real runs' without going through a testing period, or having a rep and someone they know to vouch for you,, THEN you should not just be worried, but running like hell. Because that's when they're looking for expendables to go on a suicide run.]<<<<<
