>>>>>[Alright, I'm really gonna sound like an asshole there but they were kinda gunnin' for trouble! I mean, I really feel for the guy, I know all too well the feeling of been chased down like a fucking dog, believe me I do! But it's no friggin secret that the République de Québec hate their critters. In fact they're showing their hatred for the whole world to see with their "Harmful Paranimal Act". Hahaha, it's even a damn touristic tool, attracting hunters from all around the world. So I'm gonna say it, they were idiots if they didn't know what they were getting into.]<<<<<

>>>>>[Notice I said it was the Police that were after him, right?  Well, guess who had all the proper permits and visas and writs of Mother May I (In the horrible French that country uses, of course) to let him legally be there.  He just had to wear a collar at all times, and have all his shots.  If they had actually arrested/killed him, they'd have been brought up on charges on, um...  "Animal Cruelty" or "Abuse Causing the Death of a Licensed and Owned Pet" if I translate right.  If he was just there with nothing but a passport and a smile, then yeah, I'd be with you Smiley, but he was there as legally as possible and they still wanted to have a Fox Hunt with a Wolf.  That's why I refuse to do Biz that deals with the damned place.  'Course, being semi-retired, I get to pick my jobs anyhow.  Oh, and guess what's a campaign platform with their current election:  The ability to put Trolls on said "Harmful Paranimal Act" list again, with a provision that native-born Quebecois Trolls would be exempt.]<<<<<

>>>>>[Oh I noticed, and I'm not making any excuses for these ignorant bigots. All I'm saying is that you don't go into a predator's den, knowing they want to eat you, even if they promise not to. That reminds me the one and only time I went in Quebec for a job. I'll pass on the details but I got hired to get rid of someone hiding in the Abitibi-Témiscamingue's wilderness, It didn't even took 3 hours and I got attacked by a giant horned bear. That thing was huge. I was able to get the hell out alive but my guide wasn't so lucky. They mostly use the Act as a way to get rid of the things they don't understand nowadays but I understand why they originally put this thing on the table to be voted and later adopted. I, personally, would think of doing something when you can't even get in your own backyard without something as big as your house trying to eat you.]<<<<<

>>>>>[After Dad kicked me out (Don't ask), I grew up in territory just as bad.  We didn't have those laws.  We did have hunting rifles, however.  There's a reason I find hunting relaxing.

As for "The Predators Lair", I think their agent shouldn't have taken the offer to visit from Quebec's Tourism Department (I'm not writing the french name for it, it's horribly written) to show how "enlightened and understanding we are with the peoples of North America" and the dumptruck full of Que₣, n'est-ce pas?  Before you ask, yes, I'm privy to quite a bit of what happened.  No, I'm not going to explain how.]<<<<<

>>>>>[Still, they took the offer and that was pretty dumb. Anyway, my band and I won't have this problem. We haven't get out of the UCAS and we don't plan to.

Talking about that, we got ourselves in a frustrating situation. We are being harassed by a guy who says he's an agent working for Mitsuhama since I came back from... somewhere. He wants us to sign a deal with him. Not that it is not tempting but we're all a bunch of SINless runners so everytime he showed up, we not-so-politely told him to fuck off. I mean, we do it for fun and the music itself is completely free. Well, with the exception of live performance and some merch, which a more than affordable. We haven't seen the guy in a while and at the same time he left us alone, all the networks distributing our shit went down. Also none of the other network wants to release our brand new digital album for free. I bet this asshole is trying to shut us down until we accept his deal. Something tells me he's going to show up again soon and when he does, I'll rip his head off and shit down his neck!.]<<<<<

Done, Mr. Johnson. We are based in Seattle and if we can get these guys to release our music for free and merch at a discount, you won't ever have to pay a nuyen at our gigs. Assuming you like the shit we're doing. Hahaha!]<<<<<

Nice and easy for a sniper to set up and tag you when they know exactly what seat you're in. Old chum of mine went out that way. ]<<<<<

>>>>>[I wouldn't worry too much at our gigs. It's always in a small concert room. About a quarter of the crowd is acquainted with the shadows and we hire local gangers for security, both street and matrix. Everybody knows each other. Not saying it's air tight but bringing a sniper rifle inside the place would be a hell of a feat.

On other news, your buddies came through Mr. Johnson. A little hard on negotiation but they were downright easy to work with and we already worked a deal. The music will be freely distributed but the merch will be slightly more expensive than we wanted. Can't have everything I guess but it's still cheap enough to keep us happy! Now the shameless self promotion, the album is going to be released on October 17 and here's the album info for those interested. We even added a bonus track not previously planned.

>>>>>[Always smart to be paranoid of a smiling Johnson, Bravo Six.  Now, I personally have never had 'Runners shot to tie up loose ends (Believe that or not as you will), but there have been times that my gifts have had, shall we say, a second ulterior motive.  'Course, if those Humanis 'Runners had bothered to look into the music group whose tickets I gave them, they'd have realized they wouldn't be welcome at a 'Trog Rock Concert.  Never used that Fixer again, either.  Ah, when I was young and naive, back in the '50s.  Not just tickets I've given as gifts, either.  So many toys in the box to play with.

Good to hear you signed up, Smiley.  If you did your research (And if you didn't, SHAME!), you'd know that the group is privately owned partnership of actual people (The ones you met, BTW, which is why the negotiation was hard), so there's no fronts or hidden possibilities for Mega Influence, and they have a very good law firm to protect copyright.  Hope everyone is happy with the situation.  I PMed you a drop box where you can send me tickets.]<<<<<
