>>>>>[I have twenty years experience working the Shadows of Seattle, a reputation you can ask around about, and I'll freely admit I was pretty green as a decker in those days. Or even today, really. Enough to get by. I just know the actual Deckers (As in the ones I hired for jobs) agreed that The Big D had some skills. Check out ShadowSEA, some of the old logs survived Crash 2.0 so you can tell I'm not pushing Drek. Or ask Bull, he was around at the same time. I'm not saying he was an ice breaker, there's various ways to be good with a deck (Or commlink today), and I can't say what he was good at that impressed folks back then.
As for my "Turkish" attributes that I'm being accused of... Well, I am a man of mystery, and have many pasts to check out if you care to. Maybe I embellish a little, maybe I outright lie. You realize that's part of my job, right? Lying to the employer and employee so that there's a disconnection between the two so that deniability is kept? Hidden truths and lies by exclusion? Just realize that I am lied to as well, and must ferret out the truth of both employer and employee as well... What is the job really about, can the person really do the job? I'd be retired right now were it not for the, how shall we put it, thrill? No. Intrigue? Not quite right. Danger? Hm, danger works well enough.
Taking your Contacts seriously, that's a good thing. "You are your contacts" I've said since day one on this job. Just don't live life so seriously that you miss out on what makes life worth living! Go hit up Smiley and those sexy and willing people. I've had my share recently before this big hit of business, and I'll celebrate when it's over again for another year. The New Boar herds should be roaming close to Seattle by then. And now, to Biz.]<<<<<
