For the Alpha, if you had a sling, foregrip, and personalized grip, you'd have a 5 RC, which will allow you to do BF with no recoil.
The sling doesn't stack with the shock pad. Did I forget to mention getting a shock pad? Sorry. Someone else had already said it, so it slipped my mind.
With either the sling or the shock pad, plus the foregrip and the personalized grip, you're at RC 5 when you use the suppressor, and RC 8 when you go loud and use the gas vent. Just one point shy of total immunity to recoil, but the only options left cost too many slots to get.
Ok, some good sugestions. I will need to figure out what to drop as it adds up to 7 slots (I'm thinking the grip) I have vis mag in my gogles, hopefuly that is good enough. The sound suppressor as the mod makes more sense (-6 insteaad of -4)
Maybe you can mount the skinlink as an external accessory instead of a mod to save a slot. They're sold seperately in the main book to be attached to whatever you need, with no real clarification of how that works for smartguns.
Alternately, if you make the Gas-Vent the mod instead of the suppressor, you'll save a slot, even though the suppressor will be slightly less effective.
Vis mag in goggles should work, but if you want to make sure in case the goggles are ever unavailable, you can mount a scope with vision mag in the top mount of the weapon for just a little bit of nuyen.
I don't actually see an airburst link listed among the standard features of the Ares Alpha, so you better add that too. It makes the grenade launcher far more potent.
