I'm playing a sirrush Drake and the dracoform has fully manipulable hands. I read this as intending to give these dracoforms some access to technology.

I suggested to my game master that my char will carry a satchel with some basic equipment in it....enhanced goggles fitted to the drake head, comlink, gun, couple of grenades, maybe some miscellaneous items. Set it aside, shift to dracoform, gear up, carry on.

Well...my GM wasn't too fond of the idea, calling it 'tacky' :D .

Anyway I was wondering what GMs here would consider a reasonable limit to tool use for a man in Drake form? Am I pushing for too much?

Dunkelzahn posted on Shadowland relatively frequently (especially for someone without so much as a datajack), and Lofwyr runs Saeder Krupp, which I figure has to involve all manner of technological device and his interaction with them...

I see zero wrong or "tacky" with a dracoform using the tools available to him in the world he lives in to accomplish his goals.

You better bet that if they have the arms to carry them, Dragons rely on more than magic!  Sometimes, an artillery piece modified to their anatomy works just fine.

Or a really big laser.

Now I'm just imagining Lofwyr having a day out "skeet" shooting at the range, using Taurus cannon modified to be fired from his shoulder and shooting at small cars launched from a giant trebuchet.

I know the Drake my wife played at the '09 SR tourney had a strength bow modified to be shot while in drake form. And those characters were all pre-gens......

Seconded. They're at least as far from "baseline human" as Trolls are.

I'd also go with the Non-Metahuman Sapient rule about armor and other gear made to fit the Dracoform version of a Drake costing 150% list price.

Well...my GM wasn't too fond of the idea, calling it 'tacky' :D .

Point out to him that the sirrush/eastern drakes have the lowest stat modifiers/powers among the drake forms precisely because they have manual dexterity. Western dragons have better stats, feathered drakes have the Venom power, and leviathans can breathe water...

That said, goggles might be going too far, or at least you will need to have them custom made. And you also can't expect to just sling a satchel over a shoulder, because eastern dragons don't really have shoulders. Still, a custom smart harness that the drake form can put on is not out of the question. Heck, just some double-faced gecko tape would work.
