I am starting a new campaign and I want to add 'news feeds' that keep the current events in the known.  I am looking for meaningless (or meaningful) news feeds about city (Seattle), national, and international events.  Any random feed will do, for example:

Today in Downtown at 3:41pm an explosion rocked the Sitstiman building causing several blocks to be closed for 2.2 hours and backing up traffic on the I5.  5 people were apprehended shortly after the explosion for 'not having a valid SIN identification' According to Tom Tenice, a Knight Errant spokesman, these individuals are being questioned regarding the incident and there is no further information at this time.

This just gives a bit of flavor as the character move through the world and gives me a chance to throw in meaningful information without everyone knowing the information is important.  We are going to be in the time line of February 2072 if any specific events can be used (based on known history) but it really does not matter much to me if the news feeds are perfect or not, I just want the news to be in the background.

If you have access to the missions adventures and aren't using them as part of your game you could read the synopsis and then use them for info to news feed into the game.

Another possibility would be either grab a local paper once or twice a week look through it for "interesting" stories and then just change the local details to match Seattle, or you could probably find a copy of the Seattle paper online to give you ideas and locations.

"It's not being seen that is the trick."

"...not expected to have a large impact on the election. According to an alleged Board of Directors memo leaked yesterday from the Evo Regional Headquarters, the Evo and Aztechnology corporations are entering the planning stages of a joint research program that hopes to find a cure to the dissociative mental illness know colloquially as "Cyberpsychosis", believed to somehow caused by excessive amounts of augmentation. Particularly common in soldiers and corporate paramilitary forces, the disorder, along with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, is believed to be the cause of high suicide rates and violent outbursts in combat veterans. Though details on the project are scarce, the project appears to be focused around a symbiotic Awakened bacteria capable of quote "metabolize ambient astral energy" in order to quote "restore holistic balance". Both corporations have refused to comment on the memo thus far. Investors greeted the news with..."

Just about every book with a Jackpoint login screen intro also has some little bits of info.

Quote from Corporate Enclaves, the first one I looked at.
Quote
Protests in Seattle turned violent today after a court ruling affirmed the right for Seattle Public
Schools to discontinue bus services in certain areas. Eighteen protesters were critically injured during
the police response. Said one protester: “It’s racism, plain as the tusks on my face!” The debate
was sparked when a bus driver was gunned down, along with several children, in a predominantly
metahuman neighborhood, prompting the school district to discontinue bus services to neighborhoods
with high levels of violence.

Another fun way is to just grab real news feeds and "tweak" them: NPR.org
