So the Runner's Companion and Safehouses (Beat you to it CanRay) have been out for a while now. I was wondering what all of you creative people have done with them so far.

I'll get the ball rolling.

NeoNET Corporate Housing
Comforts - Low
Entertainment - Low
Necessities - Low
Neighborhood - Medium
Security - Medium
--- Lifestyle Qualities
-Easy Going landlord 1
-Free Access 1
-Corporate Owned -3

-=-=-=-
The low end of the corporate housing, this is where the majority of the wage-slaves live. NeoNET provides pretty good security and a safe neighborhood, but as none of the employees that live in this building are highly placed, or especially well trained things are not as high quality as more well placed employees might enjoy. The idea is it encourages initiative on the workers to improve their value to the company and move up. The Easy Going Landlord takes the form of the company willing to allow their workers to defer their rent and thus place themselves further in the company's debt. The Free Access shows that not all the citizens of the corporate housing are fully following the company guidelines on matrix security Between open access and poorly picked passwords its fairly easy to find a node to do shadow work under the nose of the company if you are careful.

Security - Luxury

--- Lifestyle Qualities
-Concerned Neighbors 2
-Crash Pad -1
-Homegrown Farming 1
-Living By Committee -2
-Living with Parents -2
-Network Bottleneck -1
-Nosy Neighbors -2
-Privacy Screen (Astral) 1
-Privacy Screen (Physical) 1

-Worse Neighbors -1

Total Cost = 2,600¥/mo

-=-=-=-

A converted apartment complex in Redmond, just outside the worst of the Barrens, which has been turned into the home of an entire tribe of Orks descended from the Salish, with a family tradition of walking crosswise to "the White Man's law"... which, these days, means many of the tribe are turning their hands to Shadowrunning and smuggling. The place has been fixed up into a fortress, with the extended family taking mutual responsibility for keeping it the crown jewel of the area and maintaining the extensive aquacultural setup that supplies the family with a constant supply of fresh food.

Several of the tribe are Shamans (Initiate Group, tribe only), including a couple elders who take care of Astral Security full-time, while the more mundanely dangerous take turns covering physical security, since they're a tempting target and they know it.

Haven't done anything super in-depth but:

"Uptown" Lifestyle 3,800Y/mo.
Comforts - Middle
Entertainment - Low
Necessities - Middle
Neighboorhood - Low
Security - Middle

In the shadows of those posh downtown highrises, before you're fully amongst the row-building complexes and warehouses of the docks. Lots of investors thought this was an up-and-coming neighborhood 10 years ago - so the buildings, while looking like drek on the outside, have everything you need on the inside. Persistent street crime, a poor school district and lack of varied commercial development have kept it from being deluged by wage-slaves and breeders - perfect for a well-to-do detached urbanite.

"Industrial Loft" Lifestyle 1,400Y/mo.
Comforts - Low
Entertainment - Street
Necessities - Middle
Neighboorhood - Low
Security - Low
Green Plan (-1 LP)

Tucked away in one of those warehouses, re-purposed for sardine-like urban living, in one of those neighborhoods that you don't want to walk around in at night. It's meant to be spartan - bare brick walls, exposed ducting, plumbing and wiring, but it's perfectly liveable. When the plot was re-zoned, part of the deal was it had to be carbon-neutral, so it looks like Willy Wonka's friggin' hippie factory up top...

This is the one I normally take for my characters.  A perfect balance between living good and not spending too much.  :)

Here is an idea I have for games that include Paracritter PCs

NeoSapient Sanctuary 3200Y/mo. {4800 Y/mo. due to the +50% lifestyle cost of Sapients}
Comforts - High 4
Entertainment - Low 2
Necessities - Middle 3
Neighborhood - Middle 3
Security - Middle 4
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Easygoing Landlord +1
Concerned Neighbors +2
Living with Parents -2 (Hostile towards Unknown/unverified non Sapient guests/intruders.)
Black Hole -2
Pest Magnet -3
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

With the Rising awareness of Non-Meta Sentient beings, A huge group of Paracritter advocates have gotten together and made Pockets of so called Noe-Sapient Sanctuaries. These Communities are tailor specifically FOR non Metahumans, boasting a wide variety of floor plans, including larger and more open floor-plans for Sasquatches and Centaurs, more handsfree adaptions for the Naga, and Simplistic and Convenient homes for Pixies.
These Communities are not always pleasant though, as Many other Para-critters roam the grounds freely, due to the owner's rather Accepting nature, causing a small degree of chaos. as well as weaker Matrix security.
While not always the same almost all Sanctuaries usually include Little to no Tolerance of all Metatypes, and many times either turn a blind eye towards their resident's activities or even help cover their tracks so to speak.

That's kind of neat, how does Living With Parents work in, or is that specifically for your character?

Well the Living with Parents ties more on how the usual Para-Advocates who "run" these sanctuaries have basically NO tolerance for Anything that isn't a critter, Paracritter, or Sapient Critter, and the description for living by Community didn't really fit That part...

will edit that with a little note after it. xD
