I was wondering if an integral suppressor is still effected by the rule of needing to replace a suppressor after firing 300 rounds of burst or auto fire.

I would think not but I can't find any info in the books about it.

Any info or advice would be much appreciated.

Integral Suppressors are just like normal suppressors but are built-in and therefore work better. All the pieces of a gun need to be maintained and even replaced sometimes. Meaning yes, you'd have to replace it. Though I don't know of any GMs that would really keep track of that, just perform regular gun maintenance and factor it in.

I mean, how do you pay for the replacement suppressed barrel of an Ingram Smartgun X?

That's why I was unsure about it. I mean you would have to replace the entire barrel each time you had to replace the suppressor.

Oh well I guess that's another thing I can tack on to my weapon maintenance.

Not the entire barrel, just the parts of the silencer that is built onto the barrel. Basically looking at the gun you would have (From outside to inside): Sound Suppressor shell, Sound Suppressor innards, Gun Barrel. The middle part is what would need to be replaced on an integral sound suppressor.

For normal sound suppressors, they're so cheap that replacing the innards isn't really cost effective. Better to toss the whole thing and just use a fresh one. For internal ones though, tossing the whole gun would get expensive, hence breaking down and replacing the parts inside that dampen sound.

Should just be a matter of unpacking it, replacing the baffles, and securing it back together.  Costwise, it's probably either on par with buying a new external sound suppressor or falls within living a Middle or high lifestyle.

Talk to your GM...

Personally, when I GM I include a limited amount of gear "upkeep" to be included in the lifestyle... For me it just makes sense (after all, the lifestyle is supposed to cover general things/upkeep/etc)

Exactly what you can get away with as a lifestyle "maintenance" depends on the lifestyle in question. For my games my riggers usually ended up with a high lifestyle AND purchased a workshop simply cause I would allow him to cover all the 'general maintenance' of his 3 vehicles and host of drones for "free" (he lost a few fluff bits of the normal high lifestyle)
Where am I going? And why am I in a hand basket ???

Remember: You can't fix Stupid. But you can beat on it with a 2x4 until it smartens up! Or dies.
