I don't have attitude or war, but I do have arsenal so was going to add gel packs to the armor jacket.   Do they count towards encumbrance?   Also our house rule is FFBA  or PPP, but not both.   Side question,  is there a ballistic mask somewhere?  If so does it stack or replace a helmet?

Also I was playing around and do you think Adrenal surge or apptitude (automatics 7) would give me more bang for my BP?
I'm fairly meh on gel packs.  They do count towards encumbrance, but that isn't much of an issue.  The big reason is that they're restricted legality.  Thus you have to have a fake license for your shirt.  Now if your group doesn't care, then go right ahead and grab them.

As for the ballistic mask, it's hanging out in War!.  Technically it stacks with all other forms of +armor.  However, your GM may say it doesn't stack depending on how he views SR helmets to be like.

Adrenal Surge is a reasonable choice if you're an low edge combat character.  Basically it's edge that can only be spent to go first.  You can instead buy 2 points of edge for only 5 more BP and spend them however you wish.  How fast do you think edge will refresh in your game?

I find Aptitude (Automatics) to be too expensive.  It's 18 BP for +1 die.  I'll rather have more edge myself.

Now your armor houserule does make stacking more annoying.  My suggestion is Armor Jacket + SecureTech Vitals PPP Protector/Arm and Leg Casings/Shin & Forearm Guards + Moonsilver Scarf + Helmet with Gel Packs to taste.  That should give you 12/12 armor base.  You can also go Steampunk and get about the same armor and can go to parties.

You mind telling me the stats on the mask?  I'll aks my GM about it.

So with adrenaline surge you go first every time you start a new combat encounter (for the 1st round anyway)?  That does seem like a pretty good quality.

Adrenaline surge is very campaign-specific in effectiveness.  It duplicates what you can do by spending one point of Edge, so it is only worth it if there are a lot of combat encounters in a typical session, and Edge is vitally needed for other things (or refreshes very slowly).  Otherwise, not worth 15 points.
