Doesn't seem to be a changing room around here, and everyone's already seen everything anyhow, Sam thinks to himself as he strips down and then quickly re-dresses in his usual outfit, slipping in the contacts, earbuds, and attaching his mic. Picking up the Tifani, he notes that it is still fully loaded, and slips it into one of his suit's holsters; he then re-loads the ganger's Roomsweeper with shot ammo for variety, and slips that into another holster. He carefully folds his borrowed suit from the theater and places it in the footlocker along with the second-hand cane, replacing it with his usual one. After a quick check to make sure that he's gotten all of his old gear back, he closes the lid and locks it. He briefly considers sending the trunk back into the water with a dramatic kick, but decides to keep it instead. Never know when I might need to play a second-hand Johnson again.

Once he's satisfied with his overall appearance, he turns to Sammy. "I saw my car outside. Want a lift to a hospital? Or, if you'd prefer a lower profile, I know a doc near downtown who could help you out."

For the curious, Sam's now wearing half-body armor (AR, p.48) under the Vashon Island Synergist suit (AR, p.46).

He'll also share his commcode with the team, and check his 'link for messages.

O'Connor put the duffle bag in the trunk of his car before driving up to Red's van and retrieving the hunting rifle, also placing it in the trunk. He then drove over to the building and parked so as to block the view of anyone that happened to look over at the building. He reentered the building and replied to Clem, "It'll have to wait a bit. He usually doesn't open shop 'til mid-late afternoon. I haven't forgotten our bet either. How much to we owe you for that loan again?"

Things were going so well, you were finally home, you had your stuff, you even got paid, even though you don’t know what you are getting paid for, and it’s enough to pay off Clem’s loan shark and quite a pretty penny more.  Shoulda known it wasn’t gonna be that easy.

The smoke grenades going off in your midst is at least confusing.  It’s painful for at least two of your number as the smoke solidifies and slams into Clementine and O’Connor before anyone can even act (Both resist 8P using Impact defenses).
   
As your team begins to hit the ground or find cover, Johnny Chopstix finally catches the movement of the two attackers.

Johnny caught sight of a shadow moving through the smoke that he assumed was one of the attackers and rushed in to strike.

+6 unarmed +7 agility +2 specialty (martial arts)
+2 charging -4 heavy smoke= 13 13d6.hits(5)=5
He's using penetrating strike with ceramic bone lacing (-3 AP),
using critical strike (+4DV), and Kung Fu/Tae Kwon Do (+2DV). Also if he hits he will be using finishing move if necessary.

As Johnny moves for the one shadow, it flips backward out his range, then he takes fire from somewhere as burst fire from an SMG peppers his form (12P and 8P, no defense possible).  The other shadow moves in to finish the job (Melee Attack with 3 successes)

The bullets rip into Johnny's jumpsuit making him yell out  in pain and surprise. He drops to one knee clutching his sideas he checks for blood; luckily the bullets are stopped by his vitals protector and will just leave him bruised for weeks instead of dead. He barely has time to recover as a shadow attacks at him from the smoke. Johnny barely blocks the blows from the smoke shrouded enemy as he stands hoping to keep his opponent engaged so as not to take more bullets from the other attackers.

While blocking the blows from his opponent he sees a opportunity to strike out at his attacker with a swift series of blows.


So I rolled 18 for the damage twice (armor+body=damage resistance)
18d6.hits(5)=6
18d6.hits(5)=7

and then Unarmed (6) +Reaction (6) +specialty (2) -wound penalties (2)= 12 for the melee attack
12d6.hits(5)=4
Miss.

Roll to attack. +6 unarmed +7 agility +2 specialty -6 wounds and smoke= 9
9d6.hits(5)=4

Clementine takes her stun baton and tries to locate the nearest attacker. "I'm going to get that sunnovabitch alive and make him pay for this" thinks the orkish woman as she strikes at her attacker.

Whoever it is that is attacking you, they are moving like cats.  The muffled bursts of the suppressed SMG are completely swallowed in the chaos surrounding the initial moments.

Clementine picks the wrong target as the shadow continues to tumble through perception and out of reach.  Johnny's foe manages to bat the knifehand away with his gun.

O'Connor stumbled back as the blow rocked him. He caught himself as he rose one of his Crusader machine pistols at the shadowy form that attacked him. The room was then filled with the tell-tale bark of explosive rounds.

Although it is difficult to be sure in the confused mess of smoke and explosive rounds, O'Connor is pretty sure his rounds went wide.  He does figure out where the third attacker is (the shooter), but the bad news is that he figures it out because rounds are stuttering down on him from above, by way of a skylight.

(OOC: 3 successes on the first burst, second one is a complete miss)
