"Alright, so what's plan A then?  For that matter, who's gonna be doing the talking?"

"If you don't shut up, plan A will be you staying in the Jeep and letting the adults handle the situation. Just worry about the links and we'll take care of Eddie."

[RHat]

"...  So, I shouldn't be trying to change the subject to a more productive discussion?"  Fionn arched an eyebrow.  "And a response like that is exactly why I'm worried about who's going to be doing the talking.  If you or Con here do, we're fucked.  No offense, but you've got all the charm of an ox after an encounter with a lorry."

[Novocrane]

"I wouldn't take anything as a complete plan so far; just take note of your exits, watch what you touch, and keep our options open."

"If anyone wants to be the one to talk business with Eddie, I'd just like to shake his hand without it standing out more than it has to..."

"Unfortunately, I might well be the best for it amongst our little group here - do you have much of a way with people yourself?"

"I know a enough to not trust my judgement in running these negotiations. Anyone else?"

"Eddie went to see Con, so Con should do the talking. I don't trust Red doing any of the talking. With that mouth of his, he'll end up with a bullet between the eyes"

"Believe it or not, I'm perfectly capable of reigning things in and being more diplomatic when I want to be.  And if I thread up some of tbe software negotiators and diplomats use as aids, I'll be able handle the task quite well.  Eddie targeted Con because he saw an easy in, but selling the idea that the obviously jonesing addict is in a position to give them what they want wouldn't be easy even if he was good at this sort of thing, and my very strong impression is that he isn't.  You can feel free to have whatever the hell kind of problem with me, my kind, my domain, or my attitude that you bloody well want to have.  But if it starts to get in the way of doing what we need to do to get home safely then its time to shut up about it.  Do we understand each other?"

"I'm only going to say this once kid, you talk to me like that again and your health is going to suffer" warned Clementine. "This is the exact reason why I don't want you to do any of the talking at the meet except when we ask you to."

While everybody was out and about, Sammy was still in the diner chatting up some locals.  It was something she missed at times, although more like this than the stuff she had to do in LA.  There you often were paraded in costumes hardly worthy of the name in front of a whole lot of boring people with a high PITO rating.  Here people were at least honest, or relatively honest.

As things begin to calm down a bit, a young ork girl approaches the table with a scrap to sign.  When Samantha unfolds it she sees a note jotted down and quickly conceals it reads it as she pretends to sign it.

The note reads:

My brother was a smuggler, he did some time and he's out now, they don't like him around town so he's not here, I can take you to him if you'd like.

Johnny has tried to stay quite on the trip maintaining a friendly smile. He mostly paid attention to their surroundings looking for anything, anyone, or anyplace they might find useful later and trying to remember where they where. "None of this works though Sam. Sheriff we need a place for a fight scene. I can't say to much about the plot but..." Johnny paused for a second thinking "We need some place that our main character can get beat up and then stumble onto... I think they are called coyotes?"

Sam chuckled. "Sheriff, trids haven't worried about getting all the details right since the old flat-screen days. The distance between any two points in a trid is exactly how long the director wants it to be. If the training grounds have the sort of scenery that our stunt guys need, we can film there and make it look like they're where the script needs them; most of our audience won't care, and the ones who do will talk about the discrepancy on the 'net--which is just more publicity for us. See? Win-win, all over the place. Heck, you'll probably see an uptick in tourism from people wanting to see for themselves. Mind taking us out there for a look?"

Sammy asked the girl's name and while she pretended to write something like stars often did, she actually wrote.
