Eddie a baggie out of his pocket with a grin, there are 5 tabs in it and he passes it over after removing one for himself, "Let's all sample, I know I got quality stuff, we can talk volume once you have assured yourself."

Needing no second offer, O'Connor took the tab, Finally, something good after all this shit. A grin spread across his face, "Time to party." He leaned back in his seat and waited for the world to melt away into unreality.

Why the hell not.  Heard this stuff isn't exactly a bad ride.  Fionn grabbed a tab out of the bag.

He sent a message off to his hunter, as well, deciding it would be good to keep tabs on this guy.  "I must ask that you to track this man."

"I don't want there to be any misunderstanding here, mind you."  He waited for Eddie and O'Connor to take his, then downed the tab.  "There's no guarantee yet that we'll be shooting here - we're out here on a location scout to see if this place has what we need.  Mind you, having a deal set up on the 'amenities' is a part of that.  So what's the going rate around here, anyways?"

Plant Cookie - opposed test, Rating*2 vs Firewall+Stealth (12d6.hits(5), 3d6.hits(5)=[4, 6, 5, 1, 6, 4, 3, 3, 3, 1, 1, 3], [2, 2, 4])
I guess it doesn't much matter if he has stealth running or not - the max rating he can run it at can't generate enough hits.  Still needs to roll the extra dice if he does, as the net hits set the threshold for how much data I get later.

Ok, so this clearly was going to be a bust unless she could talk him into getting her into contact with his old crew.  But she would have to play it out.
"That might work," she said, "I think the casting is already done, but we're mostly looking for a technical advisor.  You know, someone who can make sure the technical details are correct.  That's actually how I started in the trids, as an off-screen mage.  Now, you said you worked with smugglers.  Was that smuggling stuff and people in and/or out of Seattle?"

With no intention of partaking while on the job, Ikari palmed a tab and mimed following suit. If it wasn't cut to drek or ruined in his pocket, perhaps he could turn it into some leverage later.
Maybe neither of those would matter, he thought, while watching the eagerness with which O'Connor dropped into psychedelia.

Pow-Wow: palming a sample (after Fionn) (13d6.hits(5)=5)

"Yeah the crew I worked with ran a couple of different routes but Seattle was on the list, we mostly did cargo though we occaisionally did passengers when it was somebody too hot for the coyotes to touch."  Matty thought for a second, "I remember one of the pilots talking to a guy who only made runs the way we did, but he only took passengers like the coyotes, cuz he liked to know what he was bringing over the border, plus it was easier in that crazy ass bird of his.  Lotta the stuff we were moving wasn't exactly nice."

At the Pow-Wow:

Eddie didn't look too happy with Fionn commentary, but he recovered well, "Well if you decide to film here, I am the one to see right?  This is the good stuff, I generally gotta do a little mark-up for my trouble, but if we are talking about volume I am sure we can find a discount, at worst the street price in Seattle."

At the Peacekeper's Office:

"Well if you don't need to check in, we can go on out there.  Jan, I am heading out to the Martell place if you need me."

Yeah, thought he might be a bit cross about that.  Should salve that a bit.

"Yeah, I do prefer doing business with people I've dealt with before.  Which reminds me - I'm based out of Seattle as it is.  Even if we don't wind up shooting this one out here, it's not hard to imagine I might have other cause to do business out here.  How's about you give me your commcode, so I can get in touch with you when I've got some business for you?"

"You make it out to the sticks a lot do ya?  Just kiddin', sure, hope we can business."  Eddie gives you his comms, which you technically already have, and stands up, your business concluded.

"That didn't go so bad" thinks Clementine to herself. "Maybe the kid does have his uses."

Seeing Eddie get up, Clem thanks the bartender and settles her tab (OOC: let me know how much it is so I can deduce it) She makes sure none of the other patrons try anything funny on their way out and once everyone is safely outside, she gives a slight nod of approval to Fionn. The elf had proven his usefulness to Clementine, which shun a different light on him. Although still young and fragile, there was a small flicker of respect growing inside Clementine for the technomancer.

"So let's gas up the Jeep and try to get some links. How far is that truck stop from here?"

Standing slightly slower than Eddie, Icarus stepped out of the booth. With the barest hint of a grin, he offered his hand to their would-be dealer before leaving.

O'Connor stood and saluted Eddie in a casual manner, "Later man, we'll hit ya up when we roll back through." He made his way out of the bar, following a winding path. Its hard to walk in a straight line when the walls, floor, and ceiling are breathing. Once outside, O'Connor stopped when a rock caught his interest. He knelt down and stared at it intently.

While the conversation wound down, Fionn made certain to scrub the Matrix Signature from Eddie's commlink - it wouldn't do to be found out, after all.

As Icarus stood, Fionn remembered that he'd wanted, quite specifically, to shake the man's hand.  Wondering if there might be some specific reason for this, he decided to help him keep it subtle, extending his own hand as well; it would be less unusual to shake hands with the group rather than one person who'd said nothing the entire time.  "Either way, it's been a pleasure.  Hopefully we'll talk again."  Fionn shook the man's hand and left the bar.

Fionn barely raised his eyebrows at Clem's nod.  Maybe now she won't be so insufferable...

"The place is a good ways off.  You know, way out.  "

Feeling the Zen start to hit him, Fionn's perceptions seemed to be overloaded, yet at the same time he seemed to be off in a world all his own.  It was playing hell with his coordination, sure, but there was also this strange sense of calm.  Certainly helped with the dull ache behind his eyes.  "Damn, can see why you like this stuff, Con" He said once they'd all gotten into the truck.  Bet it reigns in your personality some, too.

"Got into the guy's commlink while we were talking.  Didn't find much of anything, but I've got a door to get back in.  His security's shit, though.  Keeping a watch on his activities for the next little while, too."  The words seems a touch more drawn out than would be normal, as if time wasn't quite operating the same way for Fionn, who was finally getting around to checking the exact distance they'd need to travel.  "No way we're getting out there and back on one gas tank...  There's some places in town that sell 'em if someone wants to try a little petty theft, but that's probably a touch riskier than my way."

"There's one thing I was wondering about," Sammy said, "two things actually.  First: is it really necessary to have barf bags ready when flying as passenger on one of those ... T-birds, isn't it?  And secondly, should it be possible for me and my crew to join a flight into Seattle as a way to do some research?"

Matty grinned, "Ohhh yeah, a barf bag and a Gold Doc Wagon card.  T-birds are fast, and when you fly close to the ground like they do, you feel every little shift, turn or airpocket.  You can crack a rib just on a flat run, without any drone dogfighting.  According the crazy bastards that fly them though, that's  just when things start to get fun."  The ork's face went serious then, remembering, "That is the problem with flying in one though, without proper restraints, a person could get battered around pretty bad in a dogfight, even killed.  Most T-birds don't have that kinda gear for anyone but pilots, and if one them tries to promise a clean run, just walk away, cuz he is lyin' thru his fraggin teeth."  Matty drains his glass of tea and refills it, clearly trying to wash away something he would rather not consider.

"Hooking you up with one of the smugglers?  I dunno, if you want the experience, we can find people to take you out on the test courses, they put a beating on those things when they test them from what I hear.  I have been trying to get on at some of those places myself, or the racing circuit, yeah that would be a way to go."
