Probably an odd question but I can't find any reference to it via google, which means either no one's thought of it or everyone realized it's dumb as soon as they did. Gonna ask anyways.

Is there a way to gain Smartlink bonus on Combat magic, most likely Indirect spells since those involve actual aiming?

Secondary question, if you use Vision Magnification as a retinal enhancement instead of full-on cyber-eyes can you still cast at targets seen via that magnification?

Trying to make an artillery mage so the option to rain down firey doom from a distant vantage point is very appealing.

There's an item in War - spellslinger gloves, or something.  However, it requires the implant smartlink.

And it only works on Indirect Combat spells.

Precisely what I was looking for, and of course it's 14F. Already used all three of my Restricted Gears for Power Focus 4, Pain Editor, and Cerebral Booster 3.

And for the second question? In fact I'll expand it. Considering the Spellslinger requires a "cybereye with a smartlink" does this mean mages can use cybereyes? I had assumed no because of not being able to aim through a 'device'.

Yes, Magicians can use Cybereyes. Basicly, once you pay Essence for it, it counts as YOU. However, you still cannot use
image magnification, to my knowledge. However you can use your Cybereyes and any fun sensors you put in them. Down
side is that you still have to count for physical Line of Sight...

Um I thaght that it had to be cyber or none electronic vision mag. Mages have always been using old fasion binoclors with optical magnicfication. No difrent than how they can use mirrors, for some spells. Line of sight is a bit wanky as you can use mage sight gogles and fibor optics cables to see threw walls or around coners and cast line of sight. Indirect spells are the only ones that require a clear line of sight, not even so much as a window in the way.

Hence why I said "to my knowledge." I mean, I do not think you can have a Radar vision implant, look through a wall, and then
cast a stun ball into the room.

That was higly debated once. In the end it boils down to a call by the GM.  But wether you think it works or not is mater of personal opionon.

In the end you can never gain from the Miracast spellslinger.

You need to invest a magic point for the ware and can only get this one die back and only on indirect spells.
