How does FA work on this grenade launcher? I'm thinking it would be 19P with a High Explosive grenade(narrow?), which would be a 19 meter blast radius. Can you do Wide attacks with it as well? How does this work lol? Also, is this balanced? It seems like it could be extremely over powered if I understand it correctly.

It is a milspec grenade launcher. It is supposed to be "Oh god the PAIN!"

Wow! That is crazy lol. So I assume you can only do narrow attacks and not wide with this kind of FA, correct?

Nope, no such restrictions. And since we're talking about grenades, remember your overlapping grenades and chunky salsa rules.

EDIT: And then consider the implications of using this for suppressing fire.

Would there be enough left to qualify as chunky salsa, or would it be more like 'tomato puree'?

I'm getting a hankering to actually do suppressive fire with one using monofilament grenades. Hmm...I wonder if it's possible to combine the monofilament ones with the gecko grip ones--stickies that exploded into monowire. :D

No, what you want are White Phosphorus grenades in that thing. Overlapping grenades + -half AP = Pain to things with ITNW, death to anything else.

Hmm. Good point. With that you could compete with the mage as to who has the worse 'fireball'

Gonryu? pff. Check out the Fleche Armaments XM-407, I'm almost set on arming the majority of my QRT Helicopters with it. As far as regular grenade launchers go, load them with splash grenades and armour debonder, rampaging troll with arcane arrestor and a million billions armours? No more! .
But, how do bursts with grenade launchers work? do you apply each of the explosions separately and roll for scatter or just the regular rules for full auto and you only apply the grenade once?

Unfortunately Chummer won't let me load either the 407 or the rest of the launchers with ammo...

I'm wondering how this would actually play out. You target a group of people with a wide burst and they take -9 to dodge the grenades, then they all make damage resistance tests factoring in their distance from the blast? Is the area of the blast 1 meter squared? I just want to make sure I understand this before something bad happens :P

The blast radius is a sphere, so, however far away they are from the center of that sphere. I'm just wondering if you don't go and roll for scatter on each one, which I'm fine with, but I don't recall where in the core rules it's covered.

Which is why you make sure it has an Airburst Link ;)
