He's a fixer.  Part of his job is to know that so that he knows if you're right for a particular job.  Same as it's generally part of his job to run some background on the Johnson.  It's part of why Jimmy's still willing to give Diego a chance - Steelfish is still, effectively, endorsing him.

well anyway thats why i've taken the route i just did with diego, because i and he will not see a point getting paid until they do see him to be useful, not just taking steelfish's tainted words for it.

I don't see how as we'd be out of the country, the international travel was part of the original plan to let this cool down afterwards.

I mean i could have seen them finding out eventually, sure, but not an hour or two after calling my contact, which is why i was knocked for such a loop by this.

For example?  I'd have checked with my contacts about the source of the raid, a number of whom are quite connected and could have found it out pretty quick.  The problem is that he would have found out while we were out of the country, which would have then gotten very, very, very bad.

Which is fine, it's just this way I've stripped at the starting gate and as we all agree, recovering is going to be hard. Harder as i know Diego and i don't think he has it in him, at all.
