Rocket Boosters are pretty short-lived, and the effect is hardly eloquent. I'd pick a vehicle that doesn't rely on the user's movement rate and ask for an internal LTA-equivalent mod.

Also note this is way outside the range of character generation, and the system / firewall alone require extensive periods of time to come up with, but only remain SOTA for a period of months. (WAR! rules for software ratings above 6 - they degrade regularly until they reach rating 6)

If you want to make the suit that was built in a cave, the Iron Will is your thing, though.

Ok. I'm going to need a box of scraps though  :D

How exactly are you putting in a rigger cocoon on an exoskeleton?
Especially considering that it can't be rigged at all.
Also what exactly do you think that pilot program would do on a suit that moves based on user body movement?

And if you get a personality module...  You just might get something like this:

"JARVIS... Dries meeeeeeeeeeeee homshe."
"Your home was destroyed, sir."
"Oh yeash. OooooooooooooooK... Dries me ta da Tower."
"We're in California, sir. The tower is in New York."
"Yesh, buht da bar dere ish full!"
"Very good, sir. Activating flight mode... Flight mode failed. We've been booted, sir. I did tell you we were parking next to a fire hydrant."
"Osh crap. Wait... Can I'sh fly after drinking so mush?"
"Not legally, sir."

It consists of a seat completely surrounded by fire-resistant ballistic cloth, reinforced by metal plates to prevent someone from merely sticking a sword through it, and including cushions and harnesses to keep the rigger from rattling around.
Note the Iron Will has a sensor rating.

I'd assume it assists in targeting and sensor use.

What exactly does that have to do with anything?

I apologise, I assumed it was easy to infer. The rigger cocoon works as quoted, and the sensor rating means the Iron Will is capable of being piloted through AR or video screen. That is to say, without line of sight to the outside world.

Iron will works by augmenting the users body movement, rigger cocoon is a sphere containing a chair that the rigger sits remote controlling the vehicle.
Those two aren't compatible in anyway what so ever and thats ignoring the fact that rigger cocoon is bigger then the suit it's being tried to install in.

Well, yes, if you say it's a sphere that poses a problem. I quoted exactly what it says, though ... and that's not "It's a sphere."

It is "fire-resistant ballistic cloth, reinforced by metal plates ... [and] cushions and harnesses..."

You can take that and say it's not going to fly in your game, but that's another matter.

It's a seat with harnesses to stop the rigger from ratling around, sphere is the general shape you get when you harness somebody to a seat and surround it with something.
And really once again rigger cocoon is for securing a rigger while he remote controls a vehicle, Iron Will cannot be remote controlled, it's an exo-skeleton that augments the wearer movements.

I don't see why rigger cocoon cannot be bodyform fitting. RAW it works.
Especially if you are strapped in an exoskeleton that has capability of holding you upright.
From an engineering standpoint, in RL that's pretty much body armor.

Pilot can do sensor management and run ancillary stuff.
While you shoot stuff, you can have it work just as a weapons officer in two-seater aircraft.
Just like Jarvis :).

Aside that, based on what vehicle would you build the suit on?

This isn't in any way given for Iron Will.

[From Attitude page 171]
Iron Will: iron Will is an exoskeleton used to augment
the user’s strength for laborious tasks. it is 2.5 meters tall
and weighs 200 kg. it has no autonomy, nor was it built
for any remote piloting. When worn, treat the wearer’s
strength as 8, but reduce their agility by 1. iron Will can be
treated as a vehicle for upgrades.

IRON WILL
Handl     Accel      Speed      Pilot      Body       Arm     Sens         Avail            Cost
+0           —/—         0             0           6             4          1               14            3,500¥

so yes you could fit all that into the Iron Will.... but that is about it. No weapons can be mounted to the unit. and some of it just doesn't just doesn't make any sense at all. In the end after forking out what? $30k? $50k?? are are LESS effective then a man in mil spec armor and draw MORE attention to yourself.
Where am I going? And why am I in a hand basket ???
