OK then, it seems all of you surprised the guard, so you basically get the first IP free: he won’t be able to act or react against any of you. Also, please don’t forget that wound modifiers are applied directly to the initiative score as well as initiative dice, so except for Farothel, everyone’s initiative is one less. Initiative order is as follows:

Guard's initiative: Initiative (8d6.hits(5)=2)

Gustovness – Ini 10, IP 1
Farothel – Ini 10, IP 2
Guard – Ini 10, IP 2, misses 1st IP because of surprise
Csjarrat – Ini 10, IP 1
MaxKojote – Ini 9, IP 1

There will be 2 IPs so please remember that you can move half your movement rate in one IP.

I'd like to ask everybody to include firing mode, damage code (without hits) and AP with their attacks. It is much easier to calculate damage that way.

I thought the wound modifier affected the dice pool for initiative?  So we were just supposed to roll initiative and not apply wound modifiers until after the result?

No, wound modifiers affect Initiative directly, reducing both the initiative value and the dice pool. So, if you have an initiative of 8, normally you roll 8 dice, and your initiative score is 8 + hits. When you suffer wounds, resulting in a -1 modifier, your initiative score immediately drops by one, and when next combat turn comes, you have an initiative value of (8-1) = 7, you roll 7 dice, and your initiative score is 7 + hits.

Finishing Move
A character with this maneuver who has succeeded in striking an opponent (whether damage is inflicted or not) may immediately follow that attack up with a move designed to finish the opponent off. This allows the character to make an immediate follow-up melee attack in the same Action Phase. Finishing Move counts as an interrupt action and uses up the character’s next available action.


Watchful Guard
Characters using the Watchful Guard maneuver reduce the penalty for “defender has defended against previous attacks” (see p. 150, SR4) by 1 (meaning they can defend against two attacks between actions without penalty).

How come I never get that many hits when I use Edge? Also I didn't roll drain right away because I was going to see how many net hits I used first. Also if I ended up casting the spell or the guard dropped before I did so.

Should I roll STR + BOD? Or just STR?  I'm guessing one of those two would be appropriate for that door.
