Mantis wants out of this death trap he wishes the gate was alot closer but no such luck on that one. Drones are the best eye sight of a team most of the team best to get that little tin can out of the way. Mantis decides to hit the drone with a power bolt.

You knit and meld the mana together into a powerbolt, launching it blindly at the drone. The magic is too weak to overcome the raw metallic harshness of its manufactured frame and it merely rocks on its suspension as the force dissipated through it's chassis.

The flashbang detonates loudly with a blinding flash, catching the guard manning the door controls.
bod 4, armour 8 (-3) (9d6.hits(5)=2) 2 hits on resistance test, takes 4s damage
vehicles dont take stun damage, so drone unaffected

The force of the detonation knocks the breath out of the guard, he appears winded as he bounces off the control panel.

Knives' shoulders slump as the mana he collected in his muscles dissipates and makes him a little too aware of what a long night it has been.  *Not over yet.  Keep the power coming and we just might make it out alive.*  Knowing there's not enough time to call forth his magical powers and strike the drone, Knives calls forth the taser with a gesture and fires at the guard by the door controls as he keeps slowly advancing towards the gate... and freedom...


Before we get into the rolls here's the drain for my now worn off Attribute Boost.
Body 5 + Willpower 5 = 10d6.
10d6.hits(5)=3  All drain resisted.

Free Action: Deploy taser from arm slide.

Simple Action 1:  Fire taser
Pistols 1 + Agility 6 + Smartgun 2 = 9d6
9d6.hits(5)=0  Really...  Only one dart left.

Simple Action 2: Attribute Boost (Str)

The gas from the cannister thickens as your eyes start to itch, and your throat begins to feel sore.
Grabbing the rapidly deployed taser, you zero in on your mark and fire, cursing loudly as your taser dart misses its mark. The winded guard stumbles back to his feet, the dart crackling and discharging its capacitors into the wall behind him.
The drone grabs your attention as it's servos audibly whir as the turret re-adjusts for your new heading, launching another cannister your way.

The cannister airbursts almost directly overhead, covering you in an itchy, irritant chemical. Immediately you feel your eyes burn harder, and your throat feels like you've been gargling razor blades.
+2 net hits for the drone's GL means your toxin resistance will be resisting strength 7 now, not strength 5.

Drake I should have guesses my spells would be too weak to deal with the drone well I keep 3 spells sustained. Best come up with a plan and quick. Mantis creeps up the wall of the building hoping the wall being so close to him will help to keep any senors from getting a good detection of him. Well the drone is the main problem but until I get a good plan I best start with the meta-humans

Mantis decides to cast a stun bolt at one of the guards to try and lower the threat number him and his team of runners are up against.

You shimmy a few metres nearer to the drone, venturing deeper into the cloud of stinging, irritating gas spewing from the first cannister.
Melding the mana into a stunbolt, you hurl it with all your might at the sole remaining guard.
The spell tears into his aura, stunning him and sending his unconscious form hurtling to the ground in front of the control panel.
wil 3, -1 wound mod (2d6.hits(5)=0) spell damage fills his stun monitor.

__Ini 10, 3rd pass___
The drone, having expended its ammunition, switches with an audible clunk to it's secondary armament, the turret swinging towards Mantis as he advances up the wall. The nozzle of the weapon glows red and the gas in front of you begins to vaporise and disperse, you knew what was coming.

The beam streaks across your armour a couple of times, causing mild irritation but you dodge the worst of it, knowing all too well the agony its weaponry can cause

The gas tears at your eyes and skin, ripping at the membrane of your throat. Everything exposed to the gas feels like it's been set on fire.
Your head swims, finding your balance is difficult, let alone aiming steadily.
Mantis [takes 4 stun damage] Knives [takes 5 stun damage]
you both narrowly avoided being incapacitated; gits! :-) didn't realise you had such high willpower stats.
you're at -2 to all actions for disorientation and all further wound modifiers will be doubled whilst in the area of effect


Charging forwards to the gate seems more suicidal than ever, the second guard still hadn't re-appeared after yammering into his commlink, re-enforcements were probably en-route.
You were going to need to think quick and get above the gas before it knocked you out.
