Yea I fully expected to resist it easily but the dice had different plans


The icy blast frosts over Knives' greatcoat, the built in insulation doing nothing to ease the blast, and his body is wracked with shivers.  He sheaths his mundane blade and calls the taser to his awaiting hand.  Through the shivers he takes a shot at the icy foe.

The Silvery bolt of mana lights up the sky as it hurtles towards the glowing blue elemental, already railing at the command of its summoner. The bolt impacts squarely into its ethereal torso and rends it apart with a flash of light.
It feels warmer immediately as it is disrupted, the chill in the air returning to the usual Thames-side autumnal breeze.

The day's abuse on your system was beginning to show, you felt fatigued, knackered. The engines roar momentarily as the props clear the water line, before the hull smashes back down into the Thames, jerking your mass forwards and sideways at the same time.
The large wake and Dunk's high speed manoeuvres were too much for your tired and frozen muscles to keep up with. One second you saw the the sky, the next you saw the deck.

The blackness lasts for a milisecond before the impact brings stars to your eyes. You find yourself squinting up at the sky, the bright lights of the East London motorway crossing hurting your eyes, and the sound of the 6lane motorway above you assaulting your ears.
Clearing the bridge at speed, you haul yourself to your knees. Shaking off the stars in your vision, you see Mantis in similar difficulties, precariously leaning backwards over the railings, white water kicking up off the hull behind him as if to highlight the danger he was in.
