Boomer looked at the others as they spoke.  When Three Star mentioned that he wanted his stuff back he nodded.  "Agreed though it may be harder then we think.  they have a lot of firepower at that station.  As far as the locker I might be able to crack it."  He looks back to the sergeant.    "What about her.  Think her eye and hand might still be able to open the locker?  We could always take them with us."  He said in a matter of fact tone.

"Biometrics are useless if the person's dead." Spooky said, calmly.  "Quinton gets us in, and the Ancients pay to get their safe back without having it blown open."
"When the pin is pulled, Mr. Grenade is no longer your friend" - every instructor out there

"Maybe in your case, but he's a great buddy I'm leaving behind." - Siouxsie

"Oh and where is your medical degree? Not all Biometrics are state of the art and can tell living from dead anyway, don't jump to conclusions. I want to atleast get her commlink from her. Find something to put the fire out, Detective. "Before you start off on another tirade of pointless drek.

The street isn't exactly littered with extinguishers, but among the trash there are a number of cans and other rusty or otherwise very dirty containers containing last night's rain. Smothering the flames with some of the soaking wet clothes (bloodied and/or using previously mentioned water) taken from the dead works too. It's not too hard putting the fire that's consuming the sergeant out now you're no longer in combat.
But it's immediately clear that her hand print can no longer be used for a scanner. Depending on the scanner, her eyes could -possibly- still work;  they haven't, uhm, 'popped' yet. But Boomer can immediately tell you that having one 'key' without the other is just the same as having neither when it comes to these kinds of systems.

Quinten keeps a straight face, but it's obvious he's a bit shaken by the fact that his carefully made plans have been ruined. "Of course I know the way. I'm the one who guided them to the meeting location and back, do you honestly think they'd be entrusted with the knowledge or the location of such a rare and sacred place? But we still need to get to the station. It'll be quite difficult to get there on foot even if we don't run into more gangers. And no, don't expect the Ancients to welcome us there with open arms. The only reason they tolerated our presence there was because of the major and I highly doubt the rest of 'em will still be so 'friendly' when we return without their own people escorting us. I may know someone who might be able to help us getting into that locker, but that won't make getting to it any easier.
Let me make some calls."

Rat kept a straight face when Quinten shot the major in the head. He didn't care much for the right thing to do nor her suffering. Growing up in the streets, "the right thing to do" meant looking out for yourself, and the ork had seen his fair share of executions, so the gesture didn't prompt any responses from him. The ork simply looked around, picking up two combat knives for himself and tucking the gun in the back of his pants.

He then took a shotgun and said to Quinten "Lead the way, then"

"Yes, good idea Quentin." Three Star kept things short for now lest he slip up and mention him not being trusted with the location either and leant down to search for whatever was left of the Ancient Officer's Commlink.

"Any of you with Cybereyes? Did they shut off your recordings or did you get the fight on tape?"

In between two calls, Quinten looks at you incredulously. "And why are these recordings of any importance at this moment? If we get out of this alive, I'm certain you can watch how you humiliated a group of untrained low-lifes on your own time."

"Regain your composure, Quentin. Incredulous anger doesn't suit you. You said yourself they won't be happy with us turning up without their members, so let us at least try to show them the reason why."
Three Star struggled not to glance at a specific team member after saying that, the main liability in the plan.

Boomer spoke up when Three Star finished speaing to Quinten.  "Yes I did.  When the ambush started I booted my comlink and started recording.  I have the short lived offensive on file.  It's easy to tell who is who."  He looked at Quinten and gave a nod.  "Sorry about turning on the comlink but when that ambushed happened It all went out the window.  But I can assure you that it was never on at the meet and that can be verified by the same means discussed when we started this job."

"Yeah, about that..." starts Rat after Boomer's comment. "I also turned on my gear, and am not turning it off." The expression on the ork's face made it clear there would be no reasoning with him.

"And I don't expect you to turn any of it off. Odds are it'll be needed again before this day is over.", he said matter-of-factly.
Quinten cleared his throat. "But please take my word for it that this footage will be of no help. We'll be lucky to even get near the station without being shot and the moment we arrive there, we'll either need to use stealth or aggression to get to the locker.
I'm told I'm a skilled negotiator and I have quite some experience in these matters. But even my skills would be insufficient to convince them to be friendly to us. Even with their officers present they were already openly hostile and reluctant to help us; without them....
They lost their friends and valuable equipment because they were forced to do something they didn't want to. They'll blame us for causing this, even if they know the Orks -they were Black Rains, or to be precise an ex-part of it, by the way- ambushed the truck. They were already looking for any excuse to shoot you, now they have plenty."

"Fine, lets get walking." Three Star folded his arms and followed behind Quentin.

Boomer fell in line.  "This is sounding like a situation where we might want to cut our losses with our gear.  Not sure if you all remember what I said earlier but that place is well defended.  Even if we did use force to get in they would call for backup then we would be done."  He paused for a moment as he thought of something.  "Would any of you be opposed if I called a buddy of mine to come pick us up.  It would be quicker and safer."  With that said he reactivated his comlink again and prepared to call if the answer was yes.

"I have no qualms with the SOS, Boomer but I need that gear locker. I require the commlink inside to reactivate some of my 'ware, they were not as kind with mine as the rest of you."

jic (30d6.hits(5)=9)
This is assuming my commlink wasn't given back, which it was never stated that they did.

"Call your buddy, Boomer, that's a good idea. But I'm with him, Three Star, on the gear thing: I need what I put inside that locker. Besides, there always is a way to break into a place" says Rat with a smile on the corner of his mouth.
