@Shark

The rowdiness of the crowd at the bar, hopefully your last stop of the night, is where you live. This is exactly like where you grew up: a loud crowd with an element of danger. You go in, and you know you don't need to look for anyone; the moment you step in you've already been identified by the people that matter. A few drinks in, a woman, casually dressed, approaches you and asks you to buy her a drink. When the barman quotes you ¥250, you quickly understand what you are paying for.

So that's the price of admission here, huh?  I can deal with that.  He paid the bartender, and nodded to the woman.  "Name's Jimmy.  You?"

The bartender hands the woman a plain drink and goes to attend to another patron. The woman looked Shark square in the eye and told him "My name's at the last table in the corner." She then got up without awaiting for him and went to the washroom. Shark casually looked over his shoulder and spotted the only table that didn't seem to be celebrating something. There were three men at the table, but only one sitting down. It clearly made him stand out, as everyone else at the bar was standing.

Jimmy made his way towards the table, taking a read on the people there as he approached.

@Shark

You arrive at the table and can immediately feel the presence of the man sitting down. He doesn't bother standing for you and looks at you, simply saying "Don't waste my time." He pauses for a moment and asks you "What do you want?"

Your gut tells you that the two men standing are clearly security detail for the man sitting. They seem cool and collected, but are definitely ready should something happen. The man talking to you is without a doubt very important and he knows it. You get the feeling you don't want to annoy him or make him upset.

All business, then?  I can work with that.  He nodded and took a seat.

"Keep it simple, then.  Might be about to step into things with SFT's...  Situation.  Looking to get some background on what's going on over there, who the players are, that kind of thing.  Been led to believe you can help me with that, hoping I wasn't...  Misinformed."  Shark raised his eyes slightly on the last word, delivering it not with insult or skepticism, but with an invitation.

"Yeah, SFT. That old bastard Cooper was as stubborn as they got, which is why everyone's surprised he offed himself" says the man, getting a cigar out. One of his bodyguards gets a match out and lights it with all the delicacy in the world. After puffing on it a few times, the blue smoke floating around him, the man continues. "Details are very obscure, but apparently someone had Cooper's balls in a vice. And I know for a fact that that someone wasn't Ares or any of the Megas. They have been trying to acquire them for some time, but the old dwarf had always refused to get closer than he was." The man takes another puff from his cigar, finishes his drink and waves at the bartender. "And that's all I know about SFT. Now it's time for you to go."

Alexander was just about to sit down and start his further searches when Shark knocked at the clinic door.
Alexander was relieved that the crew were all here, hopefully now we could get some traction and this job could get going properly.

Opening the door Alexander greeted Shark
Hoi It's Sharky Boy.

Sorry about the rush last night was just such a hectic day.
The rest of the guys are in the kitchen. there should still be some fresh brew left unless they've finished it all already

He smiles as he gestured towards the kitchen and followed him to see the rest of the guys so that they could hash out a plan.

Kinkou nodded.
Me and feathers scouted the funeral parlour last night. Security is tight and it's in a pretty nice part of town. I still think we'd be better off attending or shadowing it at a distance.[/colour]

The previous night...

"Hm."  Jimmy got up to leave, but he allowed just a little bit of disappointment to seep into his voice, as though that hadn't really been the kind of information he'd been after - and it wasn't, in a way; he'd been hoping to get some idea of how to work the con he was planning to run.

Last nights entertainments have prevented me from hooking up and checking out those police reports and digging into our little Miss Johnson some more.

I was just about to get started in fact. the big question is if you need me to come with or not...
So what will be be chummers?

well if you've still got to get work on the data, it might be best if you stayed here and got through that as much as you can. I'll head down myself 'cos I know where we're heading to, which means I've got a spot on the back of the bike free. Call the Johnson, let her know the plan so she can get at least one of us on the guest list.

"I'd like to go, but, well, as Sharkey pointed out last night, I am not the most inconspicuous of men. My heart is strong. People notice the paths I tread. Perhaps I can be deposited outside and try to make my way through the wards to join you, Kinkou." Magpie suggested, then grinned at her and despite his odd features it was not an unnapealing grin.

"I enjoyed riding the bike with you last night."
