Not necessarily, you would be surprised how often a job that runners don't want ends up finding them anyway, some of those are the best kind.  ;)

We shouldn't just walk into what we think is a trap just because we think the plot demands it. If I was GM, I'd make things worse if my players did that.

Am I correct in that it sounds a bit like the new job is going to kick off tonight?  If that is the play I will go with it, but I just hope I can take a rain check with the IT guy or he may feel that I have played him and it might cost us a chance to get some software upgrades.  First and foremost I am a team player and will go with a team decision.

Well, technically, he has already served is purpose if you want to take a mercenary view of the issue.  I am working a post for the Data Haven since the hens at the End of the World are still clucking (just kidding guys, I am enjoying it, feel free to continue)

The guy that O'Connor ran down is the contact that Crenshaw brought you here to meet.  He is the one to get the stuff from here, the other guys are studio techs, SINners who buy their tech retail.

Snow does not like burning her bridges, even if they are just techies.  Crenshaw is one of the techies where the team works and might be able to cause trouble if he feels he has been jerked around.  She does not need the sex, but it is a tool that got her to this table and the other guy. This meeting is on the Pito feed and Crenshaw's stock might have gone up a lot to have bagged the pretty Keeb and he ought to be grateful enough for that to provide unintended benefits.  And Snow's rep could go down if she dumps the guy.   All in all, in Snow's opinion, it would be better if the job started in the morning.

Crossbow, just because I don't want Sam to be rude to the new employer, who probably would've been a little clearer: what time tomorrow is our deadline? It's already pretty late in the evening, so if the deadline is 9AM, that's very different from, say, 5PM...especially in terms of potential cock-blocking.

Which is not something I ever expected to have to worry about in a game. Silly me. ::)

And to everyone else: any clue how we're going to pull this off? Sam's contacts are all up north, and so won't be very helpful, and it doesn't seem like Snow's got the technical wizardry to do a search of P2.0 to see if our target shows up on some other feeds...though maybe her new friends could do something there...? Any thoughts?

So that is the question, because the deadline is when Christy tells Bacchus to piss up a rope and Bacchus makes good on his blackmail threat.  Guiles has no more information than that, you saw a scan of the letter, it was very simple.  "If you don't want you goodies all over the Matrix tomorrow, you better take my call and be ready to pay, and play." They know it is Bacchus.

Your contacts may be up north, but you can find some info by hitting the right places and asking the right questions...and greasing the right palms.

Where you go at this point is on you, make a plan and execute.

Hrm. So he knows he's on a tight, somewhat nebulous deadline, but still sends a messenger in the mid/late afternoon to invite us to a party that evening, and gives us time to socialize before pulling us into a meeting. So we've lost probably five hours before we even started. :P

Welp, that's that: he doesn't want us to succeed. He's setting us up for a fall. :-\

Snow is willing to try anything to help out.  At this point, she and Con do not know what is happening at the posh club and are blissfully planning separate but similar nights.  I am hoping that the new guy can at least try to find me some of these upgrades.

Guess the logical thing to do would be to look at his past broadcasts and try to find where he usually hangs out. From there, we could probably ask someone about his whereabouts and such.

We might not be able to find Baccus right away, but I bet we can find members of his gang and get his location out of them.

If they have a Pito show, we can use that to track them down.  They will probably also do the two minute delay thing, but I'm sure we can figure out their regular hangout from there.  Then we can have a look there and if this Bacchus isn't there, probably some of his team members are and we can, as Necrogigas puts it, get his location out of them (or if the trid is there, get it and be done with it).
