Okay so now the GM is confused. I am ready to give you some info, you need to be clear which location you are looking into, the bar or the motel.  You can certainly do both, I just need to know what is the order and/or who is doing what.

Sam's plan is to go hang at the bar and see if he can get some of the "locals" to open up a bit.

Since it's not far, maybe Sam can go to the bar and Sammy can use him as a spotter then?  I'll go with Clem, Sam and Snow in the car, we drop of Sam at the bar and drive a bit further, park in an alley and Sammy goes in the astral to check out things.  When O'Connor is at the hotel, he can text us and he can then come to where we are parked.

That was my initial idea, but Sam's got the astral chameleon quality, which our illustrious GM has indicated makes him less than ideal as a spotter. He's willing, but I'm not sure what impact it'll have.

If we're standing a mile away after dropping you off, I know exactly where it is and it should be okay to know where to go.  I can simply retrace the route the car has taken.

Thvor, I will give you the option, you can roll the Con or since it is not directed at anyone specific and you are just fishing I will let you take automatic successes based on your final pool.  Either way, you need to take off 2 dice from your final pool because you aren't focusing your charm.

BTW, I'm assuming that Sam's either broadcasting this whole scene to the rest of the group, or at least recording it on his Pito to be broadcast later. He'd hate for all of this to go unappreciated.

Hmmmm.  I am a bit confused.  I thought Sammy and Snow were in the car, Clem and Con on the street at different ends of the building and Sam inside the bar.  The note from the GM indicates that our heavies are at opposite ends of the block on overwatch.  I thought I was just talking to Sammy, not broadcasting to everyone.  I will live with that if I am, and take the hit with Clem later.  You guys are pretty tight so I thought that you already knew and my Vory connection is probably going to come out soon and I do not want to be hiding that.  I will be very sorry if I spilled beans not already in the open.

I should have been more clear.  When I said that the heavies were posted at either end of the street, I didn't specify whether or not they were in vehicles, but with both Snow and Sammy potentially 'checking out' (by VR and astral) or engaged in studying something other than the surroundings, it is perfectly appropriate for Clem to be close to, if not in, the vehicle, providing you with security.  Also considering that this is LA, the windows are open, and given Clem's enhancements and perception, you could have had what you would reasonable consider a low volume conversation and she could have been 5 meters away and leaning on a lamppost and gotten every single word.

In fact, let's assume that is what happened, for the sake of appearances.  I don't see Snow as being someone who would intentionally have spoken of Clem without talking to her if she thought she could be heard.

OK.  That all makes sense.  Well, I guess Snow will have some ground to make up for that.  She is already pretty far down in Clem's book and will just have to work harder.  I do hope that there is something that Snow can do well.  She is pretty much Ok at several things but really good at nothing and has not been able to impress much so far.  She will keep trying.

And don't worry MM, I'm sure Snow will do something that will get her to fall on Clem's good side, just like Fionn did. She doesn't understand the Matrix so well, so she has a hard time seeing someone that specializes in it as being someone that pulls the same weight as the other members of the team. But fear not, all it takes is one good shot and she'll see the value in having Snow. It's just that Snow doesn't know how private Clem likes to keep her life, that's all
