"Yeah, I expected as much," Loki replied simply.
He performed a quick Matrix Search of the school and surrounding areas to try to get the lay of the land, and once the results came in he messaged the two techies and the others again.
"Check out the school, too; it would be good to know if there's anywhere I can get a view of the entrance or wherever the kids are dropped off, anyway, or if I need some kind of disguise or something. Oh, and keep some bugs in the air as lookouts for the mom, the kid, and the husband. When morning comes around, I'll scope out the school to get a sense for the kid's Talent.
Oh, and see what you can do about the husband's schedule. If you a draw a blank, do some research on the violin recital and get me the name of the band leader or whatever those guys are called, and I'll make a call to the dad's office to confirm if he's attending or not. I may not have much tech savvy, but I can talk rings around an assistant any day of the week.
I'm setting an alarm for sunrise tomorrow, wake me only if you need something urgently."
With the last part of his message done, he hit the send button and prepared for a nights rest by settling into one of the cots that had been provided.
Before slipping into sleep, however, he focused on the world around him and dove into the Astral. Not wanting to spend too much time here before getting some much needed rest, he swiftly moved to the school's location and surveyed the grounds, looking for entrances and possible spots to hide out while keeping watch for roving spirits and other magicians.
Once he'd completed a few rounds of the area, he went back to his body, checked his link for messages, and slipped into the dream world.
