Not finding anything else at the sniper's nest, Sam headed back to where the rest of the group was resting, though he was surprised to find that they hadn't moved from under the streetlight. Since the sniper was gone, and they hadn't been attacked a second time, he shrugged and decided not to make an issue of it. When Snow told him to turn off his commlink, he did so readily enough.

Now she was feeling better, it was time to start healing people.  She went to each of them and did a healing spell.  Only on herself did she not feel any difference and with O'Connor she gathered a bit more energy as it was clear he had been hit harder.  With Sam she saw he only had bruises and she knew her spell couldn't do anything about those, so she told him that he would have to heal on his own unfortunately.

"Okay, so what do we do now," she asked when the healing was done, or at least as much as she could do at the moment.

Snow looks appreciatively at Sammy as she walks among the others and dispenses her healing.  Smiling, she says, "You could make a fine doctor.  Thank you for the help and I hope that you did not hurt yourself doing it."

She shrugs at the question.  "Not sure.  I have sent a message for help and it should be here within a couple of hours.  Maybe.  Beyond that, our comms are sort of fried until my guys can get past the virus.  If they do, it will likely mean a complete reboot for your devices.  For me it might be a tad more difficult since my gear is all implanted.  I am still not sure that we should be thinking of too much rough stuff just now, given our status, although your help has certainly made a difference.  Thank you again."

After a few hours, you see the lights of another vehicle moving southbound.  It slows down and crosses the median into the northbound lane and runs hazards.  As it pulls up you see it is a micro tour bus that seats about 20 people, with a logo emblazoned on the side that announces it as belonging to the studio.

When it rolls to halt, Crenshaw climbs down through the door with an apologetic look, “Best I could do on short notice, you wouldn’t have all fit in my sedan.”  You will notice as you climb in Tommy seems to be struggling in the driver’s seat. "He is a better driver than me, I use GridGuide."

Snow grabs Crenshaw in an embrace and kisses him strongly, "My hero."  She then breaks and looks at Tommy and blows him a kiss.  "You're my hero, too, Tommy.  Thank you for coming out to get us.  But how did they let you guys off to come out?"

She races back to pick up her commlink and turn it off, then waves Crenshaw over to the car.  "I will need help getting one of my patients to the van.  Can you please help me?"  With help, Snow gets Bacchus to the van and makes as many trips as necessary to get all of the equipment to the van as well.  Once everyone is on and ready, she takes a seat next to Crenshaw and holds his hand.  "So, any luck on the virus?  I have shut everything down to avoid spreading it further here, but it sure would be nice to find out that you have got an answer."

O'Connor nodded to Sammy in thanks as her healing spell diffused through his body. Her magic knitted up the sniper wound greatly, if not fully. While he wasn't back to 100%, he was still good for a rematch with their assailants. Once the techs showed up, he started loading up the gear. He was eager to be on his way.

Snow gives Con a silent nod of thanks for the help moving the equipment.  Once everything is on board, she looks over at the cars and says, "So what about the cars?  We should probably send for a tow."

"Not a bad idea, Sammy said, turning to the two studio guys, "If I'm not mistaken, it's a studio car.  Do you guys have a contract with a  tow company that you know about?"

They might not know, but she certainly didn't know and with her commlink turned off at the moment, no way to look it up.

From her reaction to the people in the bus, Sam decided that Snow had the situation well in hand, and stayed as unassuming as possible. He was feeling better after the second hour of rest, but he could tell that he still wasn't fully recovered from the crash.

Snow checks each of the team as they get on the bus, making sure that the exertion has not opened any wounds, and not forgetting to check on Bacchus.  Once all are seated she returns to sit next to Crenshaw, who is trying to arrange for a tow for the other cars.  She smiles at Clem, "It is nice to be able to walk away from this one, Boss."

Once on the seat next to the techie, she nudges him and says softly, "You have no idea how much I appreciate what you are doing for us, but I intend to try to show you.  I might even bear your child if you can fix my virus problem.  Unless you have someone else in mind for that, of course, and then we can work out something else."

Feeling much better than before, Clem was actually able to stand on her own at the arrival of the minibus. Gun drawn, the ork waited to see the occupants before holstering her firearm. A slight nod was all the ork allowed herself to do to show her appreciation, the guilt and shame holding back any words. She helped transfer their gear from the crashed cars to the bus, slipping on the last trip and hitting her chin squarely on the corner of the bus, her headache intensifying from the shock. Shaking it off, she sat on one of the backseats, keeping quiet for most of the trip.

I put the bit about slipping just in case Crossbow wanted to play that recovery glitch and then tell me later what the consequences are.

Sammy knew these kind of buses as most studios had them.  She took a seat just behind the driver, as that was one of the safest places in the bus.  When she heard Snow's remark, she shook her head.  The newest member of the team was clearly laying it on thick.  But she kept silent for now.

Tommy looks rather skittish as the runners pile onto the bus.  He is definitely uncomfortable in the driver’s seat, and looks to bolt from it at the first indication that one of them wanted the spot.  As they all decline the honor, he slumps down and begins the arduous process of finding a gear and turning the bus around.  It is clear to anyone at the front of the bus that he is referring to an instruction manual in his image link’s HUD as he works on the bus.

In response to Snow’s question, he laughs, “Yeah like anyone was going to get any work done.  With Christy dying and Nyght getting assassinated, the whole town is in mourning.”  After a particularly rough gear shift, which has the tech using BOTH hands to wrench the shifter into place, leaving the wheel temporarily out of control, he answers her other question.  “I have done quite a bit, but it is a nasty little bugger, this whole behavior mod stuff is another new layer, as is your new friend’s particular wrinkle.  This ‘Undesirable’ tag he has got is a little screamer, going to make it REALLY hard for him to get back on Pito.”

"That is his problem, not mine," Sammy remarked.  She didn't care about the pito position of Bacchus, but only her own.  Maybe she should have to buy a third commlink to go on her Samantha Delavine account, to make sure that one wouldn't be contaminated.  She still had some money, so it should be possible.

Snow laughs and stands to move to the front of the bus.  "Hey, Tommy, why not let me see if I can wrestle this thing.  Not sure I can do too much better, but it seems like you could use a break."  She waits for the bus to stop then slips into the driver's seat to replace the obviously relieved Tommy.  Once she familiarizes herself with where things are located, Snow drives off, clearly more comfortable than Tommy was.
