These types of places are usually a little of both.
Come through, buy your shit, and stay and get high. Alot of people nod off and fall asleep in such places, sometimes waking up and buying more, ending up staying a few days. There's no real rooms for em or anything, they all just kinda hang out in a common room or two.

I'm actually really confused about what Athena is complaining about. When did anyone say anything about burning down a whole neighborhood? That was never even suggested, especially not as part of the plan. Is this another case of confusing IC with OoC, because the only time I remember that even being mentioned was reyjinn and Koshnek joking about how much gasoline we bought.

Yes, sorry. I made a joke in OOC about reyjinn being worried about accidentally burning down the whole block with the amount of fuel we're packing. Neither I nor Zippy want to actually burn the block down, and I personally didn't mention anything in IC. I don't think anyone else did either. I imagine Baba would have shot that down immediately regardless. A professional doesn't pull some shit like that unless its part of the job. Half of the group is professionals, and Zippy is closer to the pacifist side of this equation than ice cold merc, so I think we're only burning the house :p.

Edit: I was largely happy with my post. If Laereth edits Athena's reactions, mine will remain the same. Zippy would like to uncharacteristically be on the inside if it could mean saving a life. Is Francis still wearing his fancy suit, or does he have something more...Crack house available? I'm thinking that with a good edge roll and Zippy's appearance, he could get into the Trap house without too much issue if it required a roll. It'd probably be safer if he came with a fast talking friend.

Also, have I been correct in addressing him as Hornet IC instead of Francis? I don't remember where Hornet came from, but its not on your Char sheet.

Koshnek, no Hornet is his runner name but he doesn't internally consider himself as Hornet. He's fairly new to this shadowrunner business and not completely comfortable with this nom de guerre thing yet.

I *think* the only time the city block burning was mentioned was here in ooc, could be wrong though.

We could easily buy clothes from some bum on the street if Francis wanted to go inside with Zippy, I'm thinking though that we would like one of us to look after Athena while she is in astral. I'm assuming that Baba would prefer to be closer to the action and especially not be in the situation where she might have to leave Athena behind while she is afk (so to say).

So far, it seems rather decided that Athena is astral overwatch. And while I understand that she's the only one who can astrally perceive and its just too stupid NOT to have someone watching that side of things, i feel like it takes her out of roleplaying with the rest of the team while things are going on, y'know? If she were one of the side characters, that wouldnt be such a big deal, but as a lead, i feel like its something i ought to address before the game starts to suffer because of it.

All I can think is, since Zippy ends up staying with the car quite frequently, maybe we just toss him an extra magic and use the power point for astral perception, that way we take some of the weight off Athena to provide ALL intel from that side.

I'm willing to entertain any other suggestions, though.

I actually figured that she would stay in astral when she asked her spirit friend to set the fire so that is why I assumed she'd stay behind.

Problem with Zippy taking over astral overwatch is that he can't project only perceive, but that can be worked around.

I had thought about doing Astral overwatch, but then I realized I can't actually shield any of you guys or cast spells at people when I do.

i think the issue though was that it wasnt a joke any of the characters actually made. It was in this OOC thread here.
