Quickly snatching the deck from the decker's hands before it falls to the floor, he tucks it into his lined coat as he maneuvered over to open the cockpit door using the door, doorframe and cargo strap he had hold of to maintain some semblance of stability as he raised his pistol and took aim on the back of the pilot's head. While getting set up for stability and the shot, he uses his trode-net to transmit to the team <<Okay, deckers get ready to hack the shit out of this T-bird. It's about to be coming down, and I don't wanna burn.>>

Dogmeat turned his jumped in invisible rotor drone, and begun flying to the east. Pointing the drone sensors in the direction for a complete scan... in the edge of the visual range he saw that the LAV dive towards the earth. He texted a simple message as the rotor drone advanced to the east.

He recieved cutter message, and jumped back into his meat body, just in order to leave it again, so he can enter the matrix in hot sim.

@Cutter isn't it? I can help you, what you need to is this: The cyber-deck includes a universal data cable.  connect it into your com-link, and extend me a mark to the commlink.   We will try a direct connection approach, as the whole thing is running silent, by the time I discover the icon it may be too late.

[Saturday September 14th, 2075; Ruins of Graham, Puyallup, Seattle]

Unlike the decker, Cutter opened the cockpit door to find a man very much alert to his surroundings turn to look at the invader. Just as Cutter pulled the trigger the man yanked the throttle upward with both hands, entering an abrupt dive and saving his life - though just barely - as the bullet tore through the flesh of one cheek, traversed the oral cavity and exited the other cheek. The bullet went on to lodge in the already-spiderwebbed plexiglass canopy, while several teeth clattered against it amid a spray of blood.

The pilot pulled the T-bird up from its dive at the last minute, buzzing the train closely enough to shatter windows. He held the steering grips with one hand while drawing an Ares Predator with the other and taking a wild shot over his shoulder at Cutter.

The pilot's desperate shot went wide, then Cutter's follow-on bullet tore open his brain pan.

The man's body went slack, his hands dropping from the steering, his feet lifeless on the pedals.

In the corridor of the third car, Alicia saw the north door rattling and then forced open as a lithe elven woman with an Ares Predator in each hand shouldered her way through. She did not hesitate to level both weapons at Alicia, but her shots were lost in the wall of water that suddenly appeared between the two women. The water then hit the invader like a living tsunami, carrying her to the floor and roiling atop her with deadly force.

And then she heard a distant good-bye as the little girl completed her dematerialization.

Outside, Ghost was making for the car he knew the Seer - the apparent target of this attack - was supposed to be. Visibility amid the driving rain and still-settling dust was crap - his enhancements all but guaranteed he'd be able to see his targets, but fine details were minimal. He saw that he was too late to stop the attacker on the north door, but the one on the south was still working his way through the wrecked train coupling, and he rushed for that one, firing as he ran. He was fired on in return, which diverted his attention from the fish-out-of water Jackrabbit subcompact approaching him from the north.

Al’s first reaction to being hit over the head with a skillet was to simply go to sleep, wake up later when things had calmed down a bit. He was pretty sure he had enough juice left to get his eyes open, and then realized, why fight it? Discretion was definitely the better part of valor in this situation, where the folks beating him to death were the same ones he was being paid to protect.

And a man earned his way in the world, or he wasn’t no man at all.

So he held onto his consciousness but otherwise went limp, eyes shut.

A gruff male voice, very close: “I think you got him, Lorna.” The whale atop him jiggled and prodded. “He’s out.”

Mercifully, the weight was removed from his body.

A woman’s voice: “By the fae, look at the wretch. Who are these savages?”

A familiar Cockney squawk, from somewhere: “Cut the eyes out of wee Timmy Crawford’s head, he did. Drawin’ an’ quarterin’s too good. Open his throat now!”

A chorus of approval that almost persuaded him to make a break for it. Then the first woman’s voice. “Nay, we’ll not harm a sleeping man, no matter his crime. Truss him up.”

Perfect.

Alicia cursed as the spirit dematerialized. Still that did give them a chance. Activating her comn she started an open channel broadcast

>>To:All
-You targets completely dematerialized, so you have no reason to stay here, and you've already lost plenty. Get out of here now, and I'll let the elf go. If you agree to get out of the area, we will not continue hostilities

After sending the information she took behind the seer's door and trained her gun on the other entrance to the car.

As the pilot goes slack after losing half his skull to Cutter's second shot, the gunman unhooks the restraints and shoves the corpse to the side before taking the pilot's seat and plugging his comm-link into the vehicle. He then transmits to the team's deckers <<All right guys, work your magic here. I need this thing's autopilot back on now before it hits the dirt. This ol' girl will be quite the prize.>>

Jumping into the car, dogmeat picked a spot and parked, Dogs of war I am finally here... Secure the car, shot at anything that attacks it.  Bad dog? My favorite and yet under-dressed spirit... I am glad to feel you are still around, come to my car and let’s make a cooperative effort in breaking and entering – swat style. But wait a minute – a text is coming:  I need to go for just a few seconds, I'll be right back! (protect my meat while I am gone).

He texted on the security channel: Augmented action hero - nice shooting! The bad dogs are right behind you to the north -  do not shoot... We came to rescue your robot friend, we do not fully understand whats going on yet.

In response to cutters 'hackers needed' post dogmeat quickly replay back. Texting he felt is more polite as it keeps your squishy voice to yourself. Voice people can play it with voice, any voice they dim fit the occasion.  But he was a text person; voice is for people that just do one thing at a time. He thought.

He begun to form in reply, directly from his thoughts:
@cutter - I am so glad to read you are still alive. I could definitely use the escapism of rescuing you.... it will be a terrible waste to let the T-Bird crush into something... I have never jumped into such a magnificent beast before... he got carried away with the fantasy, but his thoughts quickly returned to the right path:
...anyhow, before I can hack the plane I need you to extend me a mark on your commlink and directly connect it to some of the planes systems. Any modern plane of this advanced should have some universal ports in the cockpit.  I am preparing my hacking attack... quickly! we do not have much time left.
He directly connected the matrix preparing for some cyber heroism before leaving the trunk. I am not that ace in the meat world anyhow he thought as he quickly formed his tactics:

The symbols were running wild in dogmeats visuals as he formed the hacking plan.  It was a complex set of pre defined scripts along with some freshly crafted ones merged into some mathematical formulas for signal processing and noise compensation... However, in his visual all the details formed the image of a Zorro styled masked dog. When the last bit of the picture was ready, he texted cutter again:
I am ready cutter, extend me the mark and we will reclaim this wonderful plane of yours. But be quick, as I do not feel very safe right now there are guns bunnies, spirits and evil dudes running around shooting stuff.

[Saturday September 14th, 2075; Ruins of Graham, Puyallup, Seattle]

Running steadily through the rain with his rifle shouldered and on target, Ghost saw his enemy's muzzle flash as a bright green flare on his thermo overlay, and felt a couple of telltale thuds on the harder spots in his armor - lucky. Close enough to see the big, long-haired guy, he squeezed off a shot targeting center the man's head. But he moved so fast Ghost would have thought he'd just vanished, if his heat signature wasn't bleeding out from behind the iron train car coupling.

Alicia heard the shooting outside the south door, and kept her weapon trained there. Her eyes, however, couldn't resist glancing back at the swooshing sounds of struggle on her six, and she felt as much as saw the spirit's self-satisfied smirk as the hapless elven woman flailed, ever more feebly, under its watery weight. Returning her attention toward the south, her gaze passed the windows the looked out onto the treeline to the east, where she knew more of the attackers were.

She could just make out a tiny form appearing in the center of a clearing just inside the treeline, and she knew it was a little girl.

And then a new voice through her 'link: <<If this is someone in authority, then tell your people to stop shooting. We'll do the same, and if our girl's still alive we'll deal for her.>>

And then a lone human figure with huge dredlocks broke for the trees heading for the north door, and big red cross ARO shining bright over his head.

<<Dammit!….And please don't shoot Rasta Boy.>>

>>To:All (Security Team) Channel
>>There target is giving herself up. They're willing to make a truce if we stop shooting at them. I'm just a hitchhiker, it's you people's call.

Alicia didn't want the free spirit to suffer, but there was the people of the carnival to think of as well.

With the pilot dead, the plane was less defended, indeed Dogmeat easily overcame the firewalls and protective software that remained active.  He quickly jumped in to the plane, he did not know much about piloting air crafts  but he knew the basics. He stabilized the plane and looked in to the visuals scanning for targets.

He send a text message:
Cutter - lets blow up something. help me find a target... I am posting the entire thing also on the planes AR visuals so you will feel as if you are flying this beast. Make sure I do not kill anyone you like.

Cutter lets himself sort of 'fall' into the pilot's seat as the aircraft is brought under control with a sigh of relief and watches the controls as the team's rigger pilots to get a gist of how to operate such a beast.

[Saturday September 14th, 2075; Ruins of Graham, Puyallup, Seattle]

After bouncing about in the sky more erratically than anyone watching had ever seen an aircraft maneuver, including two near collisions with the train itself, the vector-thrust vehicle seemed to regain its composure, and now was making a tight circle back to the train, moving into attack position.

Meanwhile, on the ground, the dredlocked man with the red cross ARO had come in the north door of the third car. Through the semi-translucence of her spirit, Alicia could see the horror in his eyes as he watched the watery being pummel his friend to death. "STOP IT!!!" he screamed.

Out the window, Alicia could still see the Seer standing in the clearing. She seemed to be speaking with someone, someone out of sight beyond the clearing's verge.

And outside in the rain, Ghost stood facing the big, long-haired samurai across the train coupling. Each man had his weapon trained on the other, fingers on triggers, mutually assuring one another's destruction if anything went south.

Leave the elf alone now Zanyiah. If either one attacks me, kill them. Once Zanyiah got off of the elf Alicia said out loud "Get your friend and get off the train. Be glad that you aren't the ones who tried to kill those kids." Alicia said, readying a spell in case the mercenaries didn't follow her orders.
