"I'm in. Scouting out a hallway upstairs."

I look at my watcher "Investigate and tell me what is behind the first door on the right."

I will scan the hallway for any signs of surveillance. I will also listen for any sounds in the hallway or from any of the rooms.
"Walking through walls isn't tough..... if you know where the doors are."
"It's not being seen that is the trick."

@Cynthia:

The watcher flies into the room to your right and sends you back a mental image of a room with a bed which is empty and well made.

@B.B.:
[OOC: Firewall 4 + Analyze 4 (5,CA)= (8d6.hits(5)=2, 8d6.hits(5)=3).  The total is 5, so it was able to detect you.  It will issue an alert on the 2nd IP of the next CT. ]

You manage to cause a segmentation fault in the firewall's verification and you slip in during the short downtime.  As you enter the node you notice that the system is equipped with some pretty decent IC rating 4.  The VR sculpting on it is a blue skinned succubus whose voluptuous curves are covered with a black tattered lingerie and whip is coiled up at her hip, her eyes scanning the node.

[OOC: (accidentally rolled twice) Succubus Analyze: Pilot 4 + Analyze(optimization) 5 = (9d6.hits(5)=3)

Your stealth program manages to hide you from her gaze until the alert goes off.  You quickly hack your way back into the verification subroutine and make sure that segmentation fault is not corrected on a reboot and now you have a reusable exploit.
[OOC: You have 1 IP before the alert goes off.  With a user account i'll say that it would take you a complex action Hacking + Edit (5) to turn off the alarm.  If you don't make it then the a restricted alarm issued against your access ID and your stealth program will no longer be able to hide you.]

@Mercedes & Woofer:

Looking at all the girls who are highlighted indicating that they are present today, you look for any which seem "gothish" and "cheerleaderish" at the same time.  There is one girl who's name is Noemi who seems to fit that description.  She has died black hair and very pale unmarked, unblemished white skin with hella' curves.

You first hear the madame's heavy footsteps and then finally see her appear through a doorway.  She brings with her a tray with a tea pot and some china.  She gently folds her kimono in and kneels down very gracefully in front of the coffee table that is before you pouring you each a cup.  Even kneeling her massive head is higher than yours, her smile subtle and little eastern dragon tattoos encircle her ivory tusks.  "Tell me, have you made a decision yet as to who you would like to accompany you this afternoon?"

"We're pretty keen on this 'Buffy42' girl here, but I heard you might have something a bit more... 'exotic'? We've been hearing rumors that you might actually have an 'entertainer' that's a vampire?"

[OOC:  The plan is to drop out of the node before the alarm goes off, Spoof up a new ID and then use the backdoor to hack back in at Admin level.  BTW, should I be rolling diminishing dice for just me, or for the firewall too? /ooc]

"Aaaaaand we gone."
Brian spoofed his ID and all his connections dropped at once, leaving him out of the Pearl's node with nothing but a blip on their Firewall.  Just another blocked connection.  Meanwhile he had a shiny new ID and a new door to walk though.

"Okay. Alright. No more half-steppin. This one's for all the marbles."
This time, when he launched himself at the node, he knew just where to strike, his quicksilver icon oozing right into the crack he'd just made.

[OOC: Spoofing a new Matirx ID = Hacking + software (2) test = 11d6.hits(5) → [3,3,2,4,6,4,6,6,1,2,1] = (3) so that's good.
exp 5 +6 skill +1 Push +1 opt +6 backdoor +3 NAN = 22d6.hits(5) → [5,6,5,2,3,3,6,4,2,2,6,3,4,1,2,6,4,1,5,2,1,4] = (7)
Firewall 4 +4 Analyze = 8d6.hits(5) → [1,2,5,1,1,1,6,2] = (2)
Another heave at the wall 21d6.hits(5) → [3,5,3,6,1,3,2,3,2,1,5,2,6,4,3,2,1,2,3,2,4] = (4)  Yikes.  Barely made it. This is why I laid some groundwork.
8d6.hits(5) → [4,4,6,5,1,5,5,1] = (4) That's an alert.
But, I'm in with Admin, so I don't see that as being a problem for long.
Taking two Simple Actions to disable the IC and the system's running Analyze program.
Next IP, Taking another two Simple Actions to disable the Alert and to Analyze the node.  11d6.hits(5) → [4,6,4,1,4,6,3,6,4,3,3] = (3)

To the watcher: "Scout out the other rooms on this floor and tell me if you find anyone alive in any of the rooms. If you do tell me which room and wait there for further instructions."

I am going to sneak over to the stairwell and look down it discreetly being more interested in stealth and staying out of sight then seeing well. Also I will scan the hallway again for security devices.

"Upper hallway is empty. Not sure if there is anyone on this floor currently investigating it."

@Cynthia:

Your watcher finds 3 rooms on your current floor which are occupied by girls.  Each of them is in a room by herself and is simply sitting on their beds staring off into space with a completely blank expression.  You don't notice any type of security, i.e. cameras, sensors, wards.

@B.B.:
You notice that the AR screen for the menu of girls disappears the instant the system alert must have gone off while you were logged out.
[OOC: I'll use your last stealth test to see if IC finds you.  IC analyze BB: (8d6.hits(5)=3).]

As you log back in under a different ID you evade detection by the IC.  Your Mute upgrade definitely came in handy because you still have some time to try and take care of the second restricted alert you just triggered before your icon lights up like a the 4th of July for all to see.  Even with admin access you see that the way this system's firewall is set up you're gonna have to do some authentication procedures to turn off the Muted alert.  You also notice the system has loaded a browse program while you were logged off and is scanning the access logs.  If it grabs your old access ID, it will send the piece of the access log which has recorded the sequence of events surrounding the intrusion to the MCT service provider.

[OOC: Rolling initiative.  System's init: (8d6.hits(5)=3).  IC's init: IC's init: (8d6.hits(5)=2).

System's Browse: System 4 + Browse (optimized) 5 (6,CA): (9d6.hits(5)=4)

That's going to be a Computer+Edit (8, CA) extended test (non-diminishing) to turn it off.  The alert will go off on system's init during CT2,IP2.]

Matrix Init CT1 IP3 B.B.-20, System-11, IC-10

@Mercedes&Woofer

The madame's expression freezes for a moment and she seems to hide a look of pure horror.  Just as quickly her expression relaxes again and she smiles.  "Well, yes, of course all of our girls are fitted with a vampiress personality option....I believe it's called 'Elvira'....but I assure you all of my ladies are completely clean and free of any type of infection whatsoever.  We are 4 star providers and TER reviewed, as you can see.....huh?"  She was beginning to pull up an AR screen, most likely of the TER matrix node, but all of sudden the menu of girls dissappears and the floating AR Naga freezes in the air.  An AR screen does come up at her request but it only says <<Oops! Well this is embarrassing.  System experiencing difficulties, and will be back online pending a brief inquiry into the problem.  Should we contact MCT service provider?  Yes/No>>

Mercedes takes a closer look at the madam, trying to judge if the horror is from a general dislike of vampires or if she seems to be hiding something.

Judge Intentions on madam (15d6.hits(5)=6)

She also will shift her perception to the astral to see what her aura is telling.

Assensing Roll on madam (8d6.hits(5)=0) - at least it's not a glitch

Woofer also takes note of her reaction as well.

@Mercedes:
You feel that you've touched upon a subject that was there already and your question came as quite a surprise to the madame.  The astral signature on her is very difficult to read consistent with the aura of someone who has refined the art of acting.

@Woofer:
You merely see what you already saw which was the reaction of the madame.

Mercedes looks at the madame, "Did you have an encounter with a real vampire?? That is sooo cool! Tell me all about it!"

@Mercedes
[OOC: Madame's Leadership 4 + Will 5 = (9d6.hits(5)=4), she resists.]

The madame closes her eyes for a moment and you can feel that she is struggling against your power of suggestion...then suddenly her eyes swing open and she simply looks you square in the face dead serious.  "I have no idea what you're talking about precious...", her expression melting back into the subtle mysterious little smile of a geisha. "Please excuse my computer system, it should be back up online in no time....this almost never happens."

"Looks like private rooms up here. There are three girls each in a room sitting on the bed like in a trace. Can that be done with chips?"

I will cautiously start down the stairwell. If I hear any voices or see any signs of movement I will stop and wait to see what is happening

Mercedes pouts, "Well, that's disappointing. I was hoping for some new stories!"

Hm... tougher willpower than I thought. Interesting bitty running the place here. Hope it's just that she's used to being in control and not something ... more.

Texting to B.B.'s network: Nothing much down here, may be coming up soon to one of the girls.

Palming test to try and text a message without being noticed (5d6.hits(5)=1)

She looks over the menu again, then turns to Woofer, "I let you pick, dearest. It's your turn."
