Upon hearing of the untimely demise of Agnes I take a deep breath and watch to see if the two "guard' types have any reaction. After a moment of nothing I will slip back around the corner and go up the stairs a couple of steps so I am out of sight.

O.O.C. infiltration roll 10d6.hits(5) → [4,6,5,2,3,3,3,4,1,6] = (3)
BBCode    10d6.hits(5)=3

"This isn't good. This is down right bad." I think. I need to be ready for when things go down in a moment here. I draw my taser and cast increased reflexes at force 4 (overcasting).

O.O.C. casting roll: 8d6.hits(5) → [1,6,5,2,6,3,4,6] = (4)
BBCode
    8d6.hits(5)=4
(I guess the dice still like me  ;D )
The drain code is 4DV so my soak roll
9d6.hits(5) → [5,1,1,4,2,5,5,6,2] = (4)
BBCode
    9d6.hits(5)=4
No drain

I pause as the world around me seems to slow down with my heightened reflexes and the details blur slightly as maintaining the spell takes concentration.

Sub vocal to the group "I'm ready to take the guards just give the word and it is done."
"Walking through walls isn't tough..... if you know where the doors are."
"It's not being seen that is the trick."

Brian immediately punches the negative on the alert and launches his Corrupt program into action to obliterate the data.  "Crap crap crap!"

<<<<<Terminated unexpectedly.  God.  Her electronics fried.  Every bit of her dropped off the network.  If there was any solid state memory in her 'tronics, it probably just cooked.  I doubt there'd be anything like that regardless.  This type of place is about paying for discretion.  Dude just wants to score a piecea kitty, he doesn't need to pay Bunraku money.  On an unrelated note, I can't see shit below the ground.  If there's a sub level, it's too deep for me to pierce it.>>>>>

@Cynthia:
You move back to the stairwell and the Yaks don't even notice you and keep on throwing cards down on the table and taking the occasional drag from a cigarette.

@B.B.:
The system message goes away and everything goes back to normal as your Corrupt program makes that section of access log unreadable.

Woofer finishes dressing, "As good of a idea as anything.  Mercedes, we might have to have you lie your pants off." *looks down at the body and twitches slightly*

I silently slide back around the corner. Moving quickly and quietly I move towards the two Yakuza at the table. A smile playing behind my face shield as I realize they still don't even know that I am here and about to take them out of the fight they don't even know is happening yet.

O.O.C. Infiltration roll: 8d6.hits(5) → [6,5,6,6,4,4,6,3] = (5)
BBCode
    8d6.hits(5)=5

Initiative roll: 9d6.hits(5) → [1,3,5,4,5,1,2,2,1] = (2)
BBCode
    9d6.hits(5)=2

For a current initiative of 13 (I originally forgot to add back the two I had to subtract for sustaining in my roll)  with four combat passes (with the sustained increased reflexes.)

I move so I am directly behind the couch closest to the door and fire twice at the Yakuza who is facing me.

shot #1 7d6.hits(5) → [5,1,1,4,6,6,4] = (3)
BBCode
    7d6.hits(5)=3

shot #2 6d6.hits(5) → [2,4,1,5,1,6] = (2)
BBCode
    6d6.hits(5)=2

I will keep still and await their reactions. "I've engaged the enemy."

@Cynthia:
[OOC: Let me roll Cynthia's Surprise roll: Init 9 + aware 3= (12d6.hits(5)=6)Y1's surprise & Init: (8d6.hits(5)=3, 8d6.hits(5)=2)Y2's surprise & Init: (8d6.hits(5)=6, 8d6.hits(5)=2).

Surprise score: Cynthia-6, Y1-3, Y2-6
CT1, IP1: Cynthia-11, Y1-10, Y2-10

So Y1 can't act or react to Cynthia or Y2 for the first IP.

Y1's damage resistance to both shots: (3d6.hits(5)=0, 3d6.hits(5)=1).  Total 11S damage.  Out cold.
]

You snap up,the hexagonal pattern on your chameleon suit sizzling slightly as it readjusts to your quick change in position.  You fire two quick rounds from your taser and they hit the Yak facing you squarely in the chest knocking him backwards sending a full hand of playing cards flying into the air, not even looking up once to see what hit him.

[OOC: Y2's Int 4 + percep 2 + chameleon -4 (1)= (2d6.hits(5)=1).  He sees you.  Y2 uses simple action to grab gun, then a simple to fire a wide short burst in your direction.  Y2's Firearms 4 + Agil 5= (9d6.hits(5)=5).  Taking away -2 recoil for wide short burst that's 4 hits with a -2 to your defense.  You do get a +2 for partial cover from the couch to your defense roll though, so it cancels out.  Base damage is 5P.  Roll defense and damage resist and then it's your turn.]

As the cards still float to the ground in slow motion, which is what everything looks like to you with your enhanced reflexes,The other Yak whips around grabbing his Uzi on the card table and fires a burst in your direction, the shots ringing out loudly!

CT1, IP2: Cynthia-11, Y2-only 1 IP

@Mercedes&Woofer:

You hear the distinct sound of a short burst of gunfire reverberate through the walls of the brothel.

Mercedes pulls her taser from her coat (just in case) and then cracks the door open just a little to see what reaction there is in the hallway.

@Mercedes:

You don't notice any movement in the hallways but you do recognize the heavy but hurried shuffling on the carpet of the Madame in her kimono downstairs.  You then hear her ask in Japanese, "Nadja, did you hear that!?  Did that come from outside, because it felt like it came from inside; it was awfully loud!  Go ask Shigeo-san to check it out."

Mercedes will whisper back to Woofer what she just heard, then send a burst TM (probably get there WAY after the combat's resolved) over the slush that more may be heading to Cynthia's location.

Woofer nods, "See if you can find if she has a Comm somewhere." *finishes dressing and pulls out a big ol' pistol*

"Oh drek. He is fast and not surprised this isn't good." I think as I dive and roll around the corner of the sofas.

O.O.C. I'm going to full defense using my next action. Spending edge on the roll.

Dodge roll reaction 3, gymnastics(tumbling specialization) +4, sustaining -2, edge +2= 7dice
7d6.hits(5) → [4,2,5,2,3,2,6] = (2)
BBCode
    7d6.hits(5)=2
1 exploding 6: 1d6.hits(5) → [6] = (1)
BBCode
    1d6.hits(5)=1
1 exploding 6 : 1d6.hits(5) → [3] = (0)
BBCode
    1d6.hits(5)=0
for a total of 3 successes so I have to soak 7P
Soak roll of 9d6:9d6.hits(5) → [5,4,3,6,6,1,6,3,6] = (5)  [THAT IS THE ROLL I SHOULD HAVE USED THE EDGE ON ]
So I take 2P, and have used my second pass action.

"Oww. oww oww. Not good. Not good. I hate getting shot." I think as I hit the ground and roll on around the sofas.

With Cynthia looking to stir things up and Woofer and Mercedes confirming that this place is tied into the missing kids and general techno-fuckery, Brian decided it was time to shut the place down hard.  He scanned the node for connections and started chewing up all the active accounts to provide a general lockdown.  Once the accounts were all nullified, he just had to crash the system and it would reboot with all of its current subscriptions locked out.  Only way in at that point would be to hack it, and with his previously-planted Exploit, that would give him the advantage.

[OOC: I'm hoping this is possible...]

@Cynthia:

[OOC: You have 2 more IP's and Y2's got none more, so just take 2 action phases and I'll just roll any reactions ]

@B.B.:

You erase all valid accounts and shutdown the node locking all users out.  The procedure goes easily and without any surprises.

@Woofer&Mercedes:

You notice all the AR dragons and other little widgets all disappear.  After about 30 seconds you hear the madame downstairs, "Nadja, I told you to go downstairs and get Shigeo-san...damn drone....what the hell is going on here?!"

Mercedes looks at Woofer, "Since Agnes knew about the boys, we can assume that Madame knows as well. Think we should go downstairs and ask her?" She does convey that she's more than a little worried about trying to 'convince' the troll madam to help.

As I spring back to my feet and step around the far side of the sofas I fire my taser at Y1.

O.O.C. taser to hit roll 9d6 -2 for sustained spell so 7d6: 7d6.hits(5) → [4,5,2,1,4,6,2] = (2)
BBCode
    7d6.hits(5)=2

Not wanting to leave anything to chance I fire a second shot.

O.O.C. 6d6 roll to hit: 6d6.hits(5) → [4,1,2,2,2,6] = (1)
BBCode
    6d6.hits(5)=1

"Have to focus. I need to put him down now." I think to myself as I continue walking in a counterclockwise direction so I am moving behind the unconscious Yak and behind the one still moving.

O.O.C. I am assuming that these poor rolls won't be enough to put him down. If he does fall by some chance I will then start looking around and listen for anyone coming down the stairs.

As I fire again I say in Sperethiel, "Tell your boss next time he crosses us we will burn the place down around your ears."

O.O.C. shot #1 7d6: 7d6.hits(5) → [4,2,3,5,3,6,2] = (2)
BBCode
    7d6.hits(5)=2
Then if he still is moving I will fire again
shot #2 6d6: 6d6.hits(5) → [5,4,4,2,4,5] = (2)
BBCode
    6d6.hits(5)=2
Hopefully now he is out like a light, but in case he isn't here is my initiative roll: 9d6.hits(5) → [3,3,3,5,6,4,6,3,5] = (4)
BBCode
    9d6.hits(5)=4
So my initiative is 13
