Ahh, the Kinect.
First off, they fixed the problem with dark colors. Check out
Angry Joe's review. He demonstrates that not only does it work with dark clothing, it works in near-darkness as well.
Second, with the facial recognition software and motorized camera that follows you around the room, AS YOU WALK INTO THE ROOM, it can be a bit creepy.
Third, and finally, I'm not even interested in this as a gaming peripheral. I
am interested in this as a PC/Laptop peripheral. I can
easily see this replacing mice as a the main peripheral for a computer. AND, if you make it so that you can call up a virtual keyboard, it may even replace that for the average consumer.
