@Lumen______
You'd shoved your way through the remainder of the crowd by the time the goons had made it down the stairs and vaulted the pay barrier in one clean jump.
Mana and adrenaline coursed through your veins as you lengthened your stride, hitting the escalators downwards at full speed.
The three of them shouted after you, barging people out of the way and hitting their stride on the concourse, trying to make up lost ground.
The distraction kinda worked, it slowed you both down equally but they made up a bit of distance above ground getting to the clogged stairway.
roughly 40m or so lead and you're now at the top of the escalators. they branch left/right at the bottom for the circle line and northern line respectively.

@Zwei____
//<<Bex>> Sorry, major issues here. Events might have overtaken the original plan. Where you gonna be at 10am?//

@Saithor_____
their accent was thick and heavy, dripping with eastern european/balkan/russian affectation.
Two heavy lads sat either side of you, obvious plating buried beneath their exposed sections of skin. You had no doubt about their role in whatever organisation this was.
The one opposite you was built much more slightly, dressed in fashionable clothing and with designer stubble around his chin. They all had a slight tinge darkeness to their skin, belying their non-native status in the under-sunned British isles.
Yes. Not friendly people. You have letter? spoke the thin man.
Ambush drove our men away. Interested 3rd party; before you ask. He flicked his eyebrows to reiterate his enunciation, asking about who they were wasn't looking like a great idea.

@Profgast______
Pitch black surrounded the van on the drive north from Merseysprawl, only the lights of passing haulage rigs broke the monotony of the journey. the long straight drive northwards on the M6 was usually gorgeous in the day, the beautiful peaks of the lake district standing proud on your left and the north penines all around. At night, only your AR screen and the cool LED lighting of the cabin stood to entertain and soon you grew tired, switching to autopilot and snoozing for an hour.
The autopilot chimed 15 mins before the turnoff to the old stretch of the M6 and onto the old A66 and you smoothly took over control, guiding it off the ramp and onto the old worn out concrete surface.
A large ARO pinged up on either side of the old road as you merged onto it off the roundabout, informing you that this was an unmaintained road and that any damage or loss to personal or vehicular effects was not insured and to expect poor road quality.
It wasn't long before you saw what it meant, gaping cracks in the concrete had opened up after many seasons of heat expansion and ice damage and all sorts of foliage had begun to grow through them.
Your headlights picked out areas of denser foliage and you decided to take it slowly, given that you still had about 5 miles of this to go before you hit the old A66.
Driving test (2) at -1 for low light, -2 for poor surface please. usual gear/sensor bonuses apply

"Oh. I don't suppose you could just drop me off then?" Silas muttered. "At least your being more polite about this, but I was paid to deliver this specifically to one man. If I dont, my reputation is dead. I'm barrly getting any work at all, so the answer is no. So you willing to let me off, or do I need to fry the both of us to death in a final blaze of glory?" the dwarf said. "I'm terminally ill, so don't doubt my willingness."

Well this is some fantastic paving isn't it?

Ena, no, Redline deftly maneuvered the GMC Bulldog as the terrain started getting bumpy before synching with her control rig and jumping into the vehicle.

10d6.hits(5)=2 AR DP of 12, -1 light, -1 condition (improved by 1 due to Steely Eyed Wheelman)

With the Maxwell blokes gaining ground Knives tries to slide down the banister of the escalator to bypass any foot traffic on them.  Once he reaches the bottom he heads left towards the circle line.  It was his best bet to getting back to friendly territory.  He continues to dodge and muscle his way through the crowd once he's made his landing.  Every second counting as he tries desperately to reach the tube before the Maxwell goons are able to catch up.

I assume Gymnastics is the most appropriate roll for sliding down a banister.
Gymnastics 2 + Agility 7 = 9d6[8]. 9d6.hits(5)=2

Sprinting if enough room is available.
Running 2 + Strength 4 = 6d6[8]. 6d6.hits(5)=1

@Zweiblumen____
which hospital? I can meet you in the canteen, plenty of other plans. Will bring you up to speed when I see you, probably got another job for you. Mines a decaff if you get there first.

@lumen____
Shouting at the few people descending ahead of you they duck to the left as you try to slide down the centre railing. A gust of air rushed up the escalator, announcing the imminent arrival of the train, though it was hard to tell from which platform. Kicking your legs over the moving handrail you begin to pick up a huge amount of speed, racing past the startled shoppers and commuters.
The ground raced towards you at a scary pace and you knew this was gonna hurt.
Freefall test please, each hit will reduce the 5s falling damage from exiting the slide at high speed. Then soak any remnants with arm and BOD as usual.

@profgast______
Sliding into VR felt warm and comfortable, second nature almost as the rig synced your brain with the sensors and various motor systems of the van. You deftly guided the van around the worst of the divots and cracks and are soon at the old turn off for the a66. Sweeping your headlights over the large overgrown roundabouts startled something, you saw a pair of back legs disappear into thick undergrowth.
A few minutes further down the road and the quality of the surface picked up I quality; it looked like it had been bodged a few years back and allowed you to pick up the pace slightly as the huge cracks disappeared in favour of much smaller versions and a lack of trees and scrub growing through the road made your job a piece of piss.
Progress was good but after another mile passed and you suspected problems could be imminent. Two lorry trailers had been deliberately parked across the road to create a chicane and an old bus stop had been coopted into a makeshift checkpoint. It appeared deserted. sensor test please

no blaze of glory needed. We take you to new meeting point. Just need to see letter, not open it. I promise. You man of your word? I too.
The thin man smiled a genuine smile and held his hands up in mock surrender. You wanted to believe he was genuine and on your side.

"Heads up!  Comin' through!"  Knives hollers as he speeds down the railing.  *Oh shite... this may have been a bad idea...*  In the last meter he flings open his greatcoat, holding each side out like a make shift parachute.  He managed to slow his descent drastically and plants solidly on the ground below with an "ooph".  With a quick look around Knives makes his best guess at which train was approaching and took off towards the platform.

Free-Fall Test:
Free-Fall 2 + Body 5 = 7d6[8]. 7d6.hits(5)=4

Soaking 1S:
Body 5 + Armor 8 = 13d6.  13d6.hits(5)=5
Knives takes it like a champ!

Since I made such good progress down the escalator we'll do a Perception to figure out which train is arriving then take off in that direction.
Perception 6 + Intuition 4 + Audio Enhancements 3 (Wireless Bonus) = 13d6 [8]. 13d6.hits(5)=9  Limited to 8.  Damn, one away from a crit success.  What else can I roll?  IC is on fire tonight lol.

<<<@Bex [Mams] Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, I'll meet you in the cafe.>>>

Taylor goes about gathering his necessities, has Winston stick around the house to keep an eye on things and to keep him more or less out of trouble and then heads to the hospital.  He brings a pair of glasses with an imagelink so his mom could watch her daytime trids when she wanted to even if the trideo player was sub-par at the hospital.

He gets to the hospital and checks on his mum once more, but she's still sedated.  He lets the sisters know that he's going down to the cafeteria for a while, and to please let him know if he is needed.  He gives them his direct comm number again even though they have a copy on record and he's given it to them a dozen times in the last 14 hours already.  Taking a deep breath, he heads down and gets both himself and Bex decaf coffees.  He really doesn't need anything else making him any jumpier than he is.

Silas sighed in relief, and let go of the mana he had been gathering, and cracked a grin to match the one on the man's face. "Right. Sorry about that, but my fixer has something of a problem with failure." he said, reaching for where he had stashed the letter. "This is it. I swear to god, if this turns out to be some message from his mistress he didn't want to be intercepted over the comn, I'm going to be pissed."

Ena pulled up to the lorries warily.  This hadn't been in the brief after all.

Guess this is where things get interesting

@lumen____
You landed heavily but shook off the worst of the landing, shoving a couple of civvies out of the way as you saw the train clatter up to the northern line platform and the doors open. A heavy rush of passengers disembarked and you knew it was going to be tight getting onto the train before the doors shut. Shouts from pissed off passengers erupted behind you from the escalators and you knew the maxwell enforcers were still on your trail.
sprint test [2] please

@profgast____
You scrolled through the various sensor feeds available, scrutinising them for any sign of activity.
Only the breeze shoving the foliage around caused any significant signal, as far as you could tell the makeshift checkpoint was deserted.

@Zweiblumen____
The ward sister smiles and reassures you that they'll know whether she's coming out of the sedation by 2pm and to take your time. Pretending to take down your number yet again she waves you out of the ward and you head upto the canteen on F floor. A number of nurses and cleaners sat on different tables and you swiped your link over the reader to pay for the soycaf before Grabbing a table at the back of the room. Bex appeared a few minutes later, flustered and looking pretty beaten up.
A fresh looking scar tainted her neck, running parallel to the line of her chin and some part healed bruises were only partially hidden by her long sweeping fringe over to her right hand side.
She looked like shit and barely made eye contact as she sat down opposite you, Grabbing the spare coffee.

@saithor_____
The thin man's eyes glazed over for a second as he seemed to look through the letter and then nodded his assent, apparently satisfied with the letter as genuine.
He settled back in his seat and nodded on the sheet of glass separating your section from the drivers cabin. The driver accelerated and swerved into a side street, causing you all to hang on to the various grab handles and other fixtures in the luxury suv for balance. The other lads seemed used to it and scanned the sensor feeds in the AR display, probably checking for tails.
After ten minutes or so you pulled up outside an old warehouse, itself surrounded by a plethora of other semi-derelict warehouses.
The thin man nodded at you and opened the sliding door with a gesture before offering you out first.

Taylor starts to stand up as he sees her, but knows she isn't the sort to be coddled.  He hands her the spare coffee as she takes her seat.
"Holy shit Bex.  Looks like you could use some of the services here.  Mr. Smith taking care of you?  What happened?"

He starts to look around to make sure none of the staff start looking at her with too much concern.

Looking to see how old/bad the cut on her throat is.

Welp, so much for that.

Just a run in with some Romanians. Negotiations went bad, I'll be alright. Anything good on those chips?
She rubbed at her neck wound, it still looked angry and relatively fresh. It still had a scab over the top section and you'd go as far as saying the bottom third could be inflamed enough to indicate early stages of infection.
