The bulkhead door behind you slams shut, the wheel spinning and clanging heavily into the locked position.
It soon dawns on you that that was not a good thing, that the only way out had been shut, trapping you in here with a total unknown.
You sneak forwards, taking up a place you saw as defensible and opened your eyes and ears. The engineers clearly hadn't registered your entry, or if they had, it didn't concern them much.
Frantic Clanging of the engineer's tools on metal echoed off the machinery and scattered, confusing your spatial recogniser as to the original source
Engineer actions; complex: use nautical mechanic skill
A flash of movement erupted above your head, brief though it was. A tiny insectoid drone flew above you, followed by a booming taunt.
Aha, Mr Clerkenwell. Welcome. WELCOME!!!
Its deep tones sounded out of place, you couldn't name the accent, but it certainly wasn't cockney. That was worrying in and of itself.. The Maxwells were Cockney bastards to a man.
Actions:
Simple, command device
Simple, perception
free, communicate
You're up again

The soyprocessor whirred to life, a small status light indicating that it was low on 2 flavourant sachets meant you didn't have the utmost confidence in what it could make.
The usual repertoire of stuff popped up on an AR menu, noodles, spaghetti, pasta, curry and such. You punched in your choice and headed into the basic, but clean, bathroom. A decent medkit was in the bottom cupboard, along with a couple sets of disposable overnight bags of stuff, toothpaste, toothbrushes and shower gel. An industrial size container of C2 sat at the back behind some spare bog roll.
It was clearly a standard safehouse setup, crash for a night and then get the hell out of dodge. You slumped down next to Callie on the sofa and she half-smiled at you as the processor chimed to say it was complete.
Evrything ached as you hauled yourself out of the overly soft sofa again and grabbed the food.
She'll be here about 10pm. Patch me up and get some kip, might be a busy evening.
You passed her a bowl and a set of cutlery and tucked in, glad of the nourishment.
You've survived your mini-story arc now mate, so you've earned 4 karma and have enough downtime to attempt a healing roll and refresh one point of edge.

Your paranoia ran to a new high and you breathed a sigh of relief as the other passenger makes a dash for the District line escalator to catch a connecting service elsewhere.
You pushed on through the barriers with a swipe over the readers and through the busy concourse and out into the grey drab day. A light drizzle had begun and the passing cars had their lights and wipers on as they navigated the tight street. A throng of pedestrians pushed down the pathway, umbrellas jostling for position above their owners, occasionally colliding and bouncing off each other and scattering lightly acidic rain onto the foot-traffic underneath.
You took a left and joined the flow, heading up a flight of stairs to join the overpass road that had been rudely plonked between two glass-fronted buildings. The traffic was heavy and a HGV kicked up a wad of spray that soaked your right side as you cursed loudly at the bastard.
the roadway split at a roundabout and you took another left, arriving at the doorway of Ralphy's rather bland looking apartment block
