<<<@Ralphy [Taylor]  10.30 works, lets try that Breakfast Club down the street from your place.  See you in the morning.>>>

He wakes from a restless sleep.  It's still quiet in the visitor's room as it's reasonably sound proofed.  He gets up and washes as best he can before heading in to check on his mum again.  She's either still unconscious or has fallen back to sleep, he can't tell.  He gives her a kiss on the forehead and then heads to the Tube to get to his breakfast meet with Ralphy.  On the way out he stops by the Nurse's station and leaves his comm number for them again.  "I know ye've got it, but just in case anything happens, let me know soonest."  Somewhat sheepishly he heads out the door knowing that he's pestering them more than they need even if their professionalism won't let them tell him to bugger off.

Taylor gets to the station and grabs a seat on the next train headed out all in a daze.  He's lucky he's so familiar with the route or he would have likely gotten on the wrong line.

"Sounds no worse than most johnsons, heck, sounds a bit better than a few I've worked with, so you can count me in for it." SIlas said. Deciding that it would be best to leave the hurt Callie alone for now he settled back and tried to relax for the rest of the trip. Once they reached the tennant he took a look out at it from the safety of the cab. "Not exactly the picture of home, but it'll do." He said, getting out of the cab and holding the door open for Callie.

She swipes her link over the reader in the back of the cab and climbs out of her seat, wincing slightly at the effort of standing up.
After a short walk, you round the corner of a tired looking tenament block, a gang of youths listening to loud music and smoking something dangerous smelling give you both a wary eye as you head past them to the elevators.
The elevators themselves stunk of sweat, urban decay and cheap cigs and you were glad that Callie didn't press the button for the 12th floor. The lift shuddered to a halt and you followed her down a badly lit corridor into apartment 304, a pokey and sparsely furnished affair. A tired looking sofa sat opposite a super-badic trid model and the open plan kitchen attached to the living quarters looked like it'd just about do. a super basic model soy-processor and kettle were about the only electrical goods you could see.
Callie dumped her jacket and boots and headed in, flopping heavily on the worn green fabric of the sofa and breathing heavily.
Grab me some pain killers would ya? should be a kit in the bathroom. Make yourself at home, Bex is gonna set up a meet tonight. Go through the deets of how we're getting out of this shit-tip.

<<Yeah sounds like a plan mate, see you soon.>>
The nurses smile and humour you once again and you head out through the busy concourse into the morning air. A menagerie of life walks past you, the b=place literally alive with the hustle and bustle of patients coming and going, ambulances wailing in and medical staff going about their business. A grey drizzle poured through the low-hanging smog and it's dense fumes prickled at the back of your throat. Even the Arcology couldn't pierce it and your usual landmarks had dissapeared into the haze.
Pulling your scarf over your mouth, you headed out to the underground, welcome for the stale and tepid air as a reprieve from the shitty smog above ground. The usual hustle and bustle went on around you, mostly unnoticed as your head swam. It was slowly beginning to sink in. She'd need a lot of help. A lot of therapy. You'd really benefit from one of those rehab specced drones, but they didn't come cheap. Before you knew it, your station pinged over your AR alert and the train juddered to a halt. Only you and one other passenger alighted and you headed up the stairs as a busker harangued you for a donation with a fairly decent rendition of a pop song from last year on an old-skool acoustic guitar.

@Profgast___________
The rig seamlessly connected your motor and sensory cortexes to the varying servos and sensors in the drone and you felt the familiar buzz of flight and VR wash over you. A strong gusty cross-wind buffeted you relentlessly and you wished you'd brought something a little more hardy to the northern wastes than an insect drone as you wrangled with all your skill to keep the sensors straight enough to film.
At the apex of your sweep, something caught your eye, a series of regular depressions in the ground, only visible because of the weak sunlight shadowing into the cratered portion.

No worries, I was planning on making a post tonight if you hadn't noticed.

*Shit, was that another one?  Better not bugger about.*  Knives takes a moment to draw mana into his body, fortifying his strength and limbering up his limbs.  Enhanced by his magical abilities Knives slowly creeps down the catwalk between the giant motors.  About half way down the walk his crouches behind a gear box and holds position, hoping his opponents will reveal themselves.

Simple Action 1:  Boost Strength.  Magic 6 + Attribute Boost (Str) 2 = 8d6. Attribute Boost Strength: 8d6t5 1  Four 1s...  Strength Currently 6?
Simple Action 2:  Boost Strength.  Magic 6 + Attribute Boost (Agi) 1 = 7d6. Attribute Boost Agility: 7d6t5 2 Agility Currently 9.
Free Action:  Sneaky walking (About 7-10 meters depending on where a good spot is.) Sneaking 4 + Agility 9 = 13d6[8]. Sneaking: 13d6t5 3

"Right," SIlas said, heading to the bathroom and grabbign the first aid kit and tossing it to Callie. He then started up the soy processor, maybe they could get some decent food, nothing on the level of the breakfest they had eaten this morning, but having some warm food of any kind in their bellies would help. He quietly thought about estabilishing some form of magic defense, but a this point he had drained so much energy he was afraid he'd collapse if he tried any more spells.

Brought out of his dark thoughts by the AR notification, he wanders off the train and up to the street.  Years of paranoia are all that let him know that another passenger left with him.  As he passes the busker he tosses 1¥ in the AR guitarcase he has in front of him sending the money to the artists comlink. Taylor takes this opportunity to check if the other passenger is still following him as he heads slightly away from Ralphy's to make sure he's not being followed.
Am I being followed? (Int 5 + Percp 4 + spec (visual) 2 + Vision Enhancement 2 = 13): 13d6h5 6 limit 10, get all 6 hits ... Damn, kid really *is* paranoid! :P  Oh, and I forgot to take the specifically looking bonus, or ask for any environmental modifiers.  Probably at least -1 for the smog (if it's as bad out here as it was by the hospital).  Lemme know if you want a re-roll

The bulkhead door behind you slams shut, the wheel spinning and clanging heavily into the locked position.
It soon dawns on you that that was not a good thing, that the only way out had been shut, trapping you in here with a total unknown.
You sneak forwards, taking up a place you saw as defensible and opened your eyes and ears. The engineers clearly hadn't registered your entry, or if they had, it didn't concern them much.
Frantic Clanging of the engineer's tools on metal echoed off the machinery and scattered, confusing your spatial recogniser as to the original source
Engineer actions; complex: use nautical mechanic skill

A flash of movement erupted above your head, brief though it was. A tiny insectoid drone flew above you, followed by a booming taunt.
Aha, Mr Clerkenwell. Welcome. WELCOME!!!
Its deep tones sounded out of place, you couldn't name the accent, but it certainly wasn't cockney. That was worrying in and of itself.. The Maxwells were Cockney bastards to a man.

@Saithor___________
The soyprocessor whirred to life, a small status light indicating that it was low on 2 flavourant sachets meant you didn't have the utmost confidence in what it could make.
The usual repertoire of stuff popped up on an AR menu, noodles, spaghetti, pasta, curry and such. You punched in your choice and headed into the basic, but clean, bathroom. A decent medkit was in the bottom cupboard, along with a couple sets of disposable overnight bags of stuff, toothpaste, toothbrushes and shower gel. An industrial size container of C2 sat at the back behind some spare bog roll.
It was clearly a standard safehouse setup, crash for a night and then get the hell out of dodge. You slumped down next to Callie on the sofa and she half-smiled at you as the processor chimed to say it was complete.
Evrything ached as you hauled yourself out of the overly soft sofa again and grabbed the food.
She'll be here about 10pm. Patch me up and get some kip, might be a busy evening.
You passed her a bowl and a set of cutlery and tucked in, glad of the nourishment.
You've survived your mini-story arc now mate, so you've earned 4 karma and have enough downtime to attempt a healing roll and refresh one point of edge.

@Zweiblumen__________
Your paranoia ran to a new high and you breathed a sigh of relief as the other passenger makes a dash for the District line escalator to catch a connecting service elsewhere.
You pushed on through the barriers with a swipe over the readers and through the busy concourse and out into the grey drab day. A light drizzle had begun and the passing cars had their lights and wipers on as they navigated the tight street. A throng of pedestrians pushed down the pathway, umbrellas jostling for position above their owners, occasionally colliding and bouncing off each other and scattering lightly acidic rain onto the foot-traffic underneath.
You took a left and joined the flow, heading up a flight of stairs to join the overpass road that had been rudely plonked between two glass-fronted buildings. The traffic was heavy and a HGV kicked up a wad of spray that soaked your right side as you cursed loudly at the bastard.
the roadway split at a roundabout and you took another left, arriving at the doorway of Ralphy's rather bland looking apartment block

Noting the odd shapes on the ground Ena spread her wings to catch a gust into an updraft and banked towards the location, keeping altitude but looking to get a bit of a better sensor fix on the spot.  As she moves, fighting the turbulent air, she also does her best to keep a wide angle look to try and match her current location with existing maps of the area.

This certainly looks promising.  Might not be paydirt but it's definitely something.

After an okay meal and patching up Callie, Silas crashed on the bed. It wasn't a very restful nap, but it helped a little with some of the energy he had spent during the day through to work his magic. After an okay hour of sleep he got up. It was approaching ten, time to get ready for Callie's "friend" to arrive.

*Shit this isn't good.  Door shut behind me and now I'm spotted by a drone...  If'n I can't see em maybe I can find em on the astral.*
Knives raises a one finger salute to the bug drone above him as he flicks the small ring in his eyebrow.  Activating the focus he shifts his perceptions to the astral realm to sniff out his obscured targets.  The surrounding machinery made honing in on them conventionally difficult but the dull grays should make his targets stand out like a sore thumb on the astral.

The engineers still clanked loudly at the bottom of the diesel tainted room as you shifted your perception to the astral.
An exceptionally bright aura shone from behind the next set of decent cover, a few metres up from you.
You knew immediately that the person up there was awakened and was excited, or amped up in some way. Definitely preparing for the unknown.
The drone looped around your position and headed back towards the bright aura, its inky black outline punching through the hazy astral background. The sound of blade on hilt focussed your mind on the task in hand and you realised this one wasn't going to be a walk in the park.

The engineers continue working whatever initiative they have left on the engines

Callie had zonked out on the sofa, the pills obviously doing their job nicely. A little drool had trickled from her mouth and as you roused her, she worked out a kink from her neck and stood and stretched painfully.
You'd no sooner had chance to put the kettle on than the intercom buzzed loudly, a young-looking relatively attractive lass popping up on an AR terminal at the same instant.
Callie gestured in AR and she entered, reaching the flat a few minutes later after noisily climbing the stairs.
 Callie saw to the tea as you opened the door, she smiled politely and greeted Callie;
Jesus. You two look like cold shit warmed up. Tough day?

@Profgast_______________
As near as you could get the old aerial maps to overlay, it seemed like you'd hit the western end of the old tank ranges of the Catterick garrison; each divot you assumed must have been a firing position once upon a time, but now many decades of mud, silt and general detritus had nearly filled them. You'd got your fix on the eastern-most section of your scanning area and breathed a sigh of relief, you were definitely on the right track here.
A sweep north, one north west and one south west should give you great coverage of the area now you'd got your bearings.

Cursing the HGV, Taylor does his best to keep everything under his coat as dry as possible.  Wiping as much of the residual water off.  He huddles into his long coat and tries to keep warm as he heads down the block. Taylor rings Ralphy's flat, stamping his feet in the cold.  Ralphy answers the call and Taylor says, "Bloody hell, open the damn door.  Its freezing out here and a lorry tosser soaked me one."  Once in the lobby, he shakes his coat out as well as he can before heading up to his friends flat.
"Okay mate, what's wrong with your kit?"

SIlas grunted "Callie can tell you about her's. Mine was a day spent running through gangers and a weirdly polite mage to deliver a message to a foreigner, who, pardon my french, tried to blow my ****ing head off. Then escaping when his place came under atack, and then having a mexican standoff with some people who were trying to kill Callie's because the lead guy's brother, who I have no idea which one in this mess is, wanted to know what the hell was going on. A sentiment I can very much relate to at the moment." He then made sure his Shotgun was in easy reach. Callie trusted this woman, but today had defintely taught him to not always trust the Fixer.

*There you are...  Guess those Maxwell wankers finally realized they need a pro to deal with me.  This just got interesting.*  Knives shifts his perception back to the meat world and readies himself.  A quick flick of the wrist and his drawn blade is pointed down in a more defensive fashion, he uses it to steady and support his firing hand.  He steps off, closing the short distance between him and his target quickly.  Popping around the corner the Maxwell dog was using for cover Knives fired off a taser dart into his chest.

Time to get paid.

Sensor Test 2: 13d6t5 4 4 hits.  No losses due to control rig.
