*shrugs* If you get bonus dice, it's obvious - to me, anyhow - that the adept is using the power while they're climbing, and thereby earns a bonus to their dice pool. While maybe this flies in the face of 'you can't move at all', it doesn't fly in the face of 'you can't move the limbs that are holding on'. Since freestyling a metal wall, seamless stone, or presumably a glass-faced skyscraper is a -5 to your dice pool, five levels of this would negate that penalty - and another four levels (total 9) would negate a greased sheer vertical surface, even giving you a +2 bonus to climbing, oh, a corporate skyscraper in the rain. Granted, glitching means Bad Things Happen, but when you get down to it, while it may not allow blatant Spider-Man work, it certainly improves your chances of doing something similar with minimal or no gear - i.e. unassisted climbing.
Of course, if you're going to try to freestyle the Nakatomi building, you'd better already be a climbing boss.
