following that logic, the run faster addition should have been done by now, as its dead tree release was last month. however i CAN see a reasoning for waiting for it to become missions legal before the release for hero lab (which is exactly what has happened)

I just think it's better to put more focus on one of the core books for one game than on a book of variants for another.

Unfortunately for us, Pathfinder is magnitudes larger than SR in playerbase with a much more active organized play society. It probably also represents a large portion of Hero Lab users, especially when their system is the only one supported on mobile/tablet, and so they get prioritized even if Pathfinder is already a gargantuan bloated monster of a game. I was majorly disappointed that the Run Faster data files did not include at least the alternate priority-gen because that's precisely why I bought the update right away. That we aren't getting back to it til late spring/early summer for something that is a major component of the new sourcebook is not a great situation to be in. I wish I had known this sooner, I might have waited on buying the update if I'd known beforehand.

This was just serendipitous timing, to be honest.  The Missions FAQ is on Jason's virtual desk for approval right now, and while I don't expect any last minute changes, I want to wait until it's signed off on to release it.  But since the Hero Lab update was dropping before then, I went ahead and sent it to the guys to integrate, with the caveat that it's possible a couple things will possibly need to be tweaked.

Mathias, just wanted to let you know that the program is doing the Infected wrong.

Adding an Infected quality (say, vampire for example, because that's easiest) to a Human character suddenly increases a number of stats, and also provides the ability to add two more points to physical and two more points to mental stats. This is incorrect behavior. The rules in Run Faster should only add the optional +1 or +2 to the appropriate mental and physical stats, not add in a whole lot of stat bonuses and the optional points. Some of this seems carried over from the SR4 qualities, and should be fixed ASAP.

The only stat modifiers that should be applied are a few negative modifiers noted in individual qualities under "Gained Weaknesses."

On a related note: On my laptop, if I select an Infected quality, the drop-downs for the optional stat bonuses appear at the very bottom of the interface, and can't be reached. Worse, the window doesn't scroll to allow access to these dropdowns. This is a problem.

I'll get these up on the Wolf Lair forums just as soon as I get the chance, but I wanted to give you (and everyone else) a heads-up that something's wrong in this part of the update.

Those packages have everything from those books - the new weapons from sail away, the drug from sail away, the drone from vladivostok, the contact from vladivostok, and all the other content from the game rules supplements, along with all of the characters from those books.

I just looked at my Shadowrun bug inbox, and there are two from you.  Did the confirmations end up in your spam filter?

BTW the crunch content I see for supplement #2 is:

Vladivostok Gauntlet:
4 NPCS
2 contacts
1 drone/pet
1 piece of gear (reactive biomatter)

Sail Away SS
5 npcs
2 positive qualities
2 weapons
1 drug
3 spells
1 mentor spirit

I don't see any content that would carry over from Sioux nation but perhaps I'm missing something?

Not sure if you're planning on adding another enhanced fiction content to the Supplements #2 but considering the small amount of crunch added it would seem to make sense.

I would suggest the game info from "Nothing Personal" which encompasses 4 NPCs and one Drone.

Not into the spam filter, but they did eventually show up. So we appear to be good. :) Thanks for checking.

Supplements #2 will end up with roughly the same amount of crunch as supplements #1 (which has Aetherology, the Assassin’s Primer, Bullets & Bandages, Gun Heaven 3, Shadow Spells, and Stolen Souls) before we close it and start putting new books into supplements #3.  But at this time, since we don't know what supplements will be released when, we can't make promises about what will be in there, beyond what I said in the original announcement: "We'll be adding the book Nothing Personal, also from the Enhanced Fiction line, to this package, and at least one more supplement or pdf after that (although the exact book depends on what books Catalyst releases in the near future)."

Supplements #1 was just so big that even though all the books we knew of that would go into supplement packages (SiF: Sioux Nation and the three enhanced fiction books) were all small, we needed to open a supplements #2 package. So, yes, currently supplements #2 is small, but it will be added to over time.

The content from SiF: Sioux Nation is a set of skill PACKs - you'll see them on the skills tab in creation mode.

Thanks Mathias appreciate your responsiveness and attentiveness.

I'm very happy to be using a product that is professionally supported and in an ongoing development cycle.

Keep up the good work and get that pathfinder stuff finished so we can get more Srun stuff ;-)

cheers
