[10:23 PM, Sunday Dec. 13, 2075, Jaime's apartment
The bedroom was dark as Arc lay there with her Vrukart, eyes open as she relaxed on her back, staring at the ceiling. Her lips were curled into a near constant smile as she lay, body trembling a little in aftereffects of the eventful past couple of hours. She caught herself biting her lip as she thought back to when she was in the shower, and how Jaime had snuck in to join her, wasting no time expressing their joy of reuniting after the long day. Much of the time was spent in such a way, the only few breaks were to enjoy the dinner the mechanic had brought for them. But now, they were both laying cuddled up against each other, and judging by his steady breaths, the girl figured he had fully fallen asleep.
Checking the time, Arc gave a little sigh as she longed to just go to sleep. But she had a job to do. Moving gently, she shifted away from his embrace, kissing his forearm in parting as she got up, fishing around for her clothes and slipping them on. Shivering a bit, she crept out of the room and shutt the door behind her. Looking ahead, she smirked as she cleaned the remnants of their dinner in a couple minutes. Grabbing her armored jacket, the mechanic checked for all her carry gear before departing the apartment to the Scorpion.
As she mounted the bike, she pulled up her jacket sleeve, releasing her Fly Spy drones from her arm into the air and directing them away with her mental rig's interfacing. She instructed them to go to locations along the intended escort path, most notably towards the origin point. If they move, she wants to be the first to know. Satisfied, she fitted her goggles over her eyes and fired up the engine, speeding down the street and making for her garage.
When she did arrive, she checked to see that both the King Scorpion and the Americar were home with her locator tags, meaning the team was all here. Nodding her head in appreciation, the short human cut the engine and parked the bike, grabbing her stuff before heading inside. she saw her team all pretty much in the garage to some degree, resting up for the job. Tuskaloosa was spotted asleep under her coat, Yelena and Marco seemed to be enjoying each other's company, and Firefly looked zonked as well. They had time, so she didn't wake them yet or disturb them with more than a nod of recognition, her grin still lingering from recent events. Rather, she wordlessly got to work kitting herself up...weapons in her body, medkit and toolkit strapped to her hips... When the time comes, she will be ready.
