Wasn't there a certain asshole rigger in a Gopher back at the last riot I ended up getting caught in?

Good ol' Niles Grey, AKA Big Daddy, was in an Americar.  Wraith dug up some intel on some Feathered, and got a pic of Lieutenant standing next to a Blue Gopher on a social networking site.  I'm pretty sure the info was shared with the team, but I can't find it in the search function.  He was big and beefy with some obvious cyber, and if that's his truck, I sure hope Feathered man doesn't get his hands on the mystery shooter.  I'd probably have to do that bit in a cut-scene, as it wouldn't be appropriate for public consumption.

Hope my IC is fine, the narcoject is immediate, so the woman would be out, I left her on her feet momentarily so the crowd could tackle her.  Sure there must be some more bloodthirsty types who might rip the woman apart if given the opportunity.

Meanwhile, just a quick perception check at the car, especially want to note if any windows are open and how many occupants.  Most importantly windows in the back or occupants in the back.  Or if the rear windshield is in place.

Perception Test: 2 hits
That's just like... your opinion, man.

. . . the narcoject is immediate, so the woman would be out, . . .

Page 409 of the CRB: "At the end of the appropriate combat turn, the victim takes a Toxin Resistance Test to see if the toxin takes effect."  I've already done the roll, but she gets the rest of this turn to stay conscious, unless I'm missing something.  It does say in the example box, which are not always to be trusted, that a Combat Turn 1 toxin takes effect at the end of the next CT.

Any opinion, or actual ruling, on whether or not a Toxin's Power increases with Net Hits?  Again, it doesn't matter in this instance, but would be good to know.

IC looks good.

The toxin power does not increase with net hits, but does with additional doses.

I see what you're looking at on the effect.  That's asinine (a narcoject dose on pass three of three passes actually IS immediate, but narcoject on pass one of three passes takes two more passes to be effective...), but them's the rules of Shadowrun sometimes :P

I don't think my post needs changing, assuming people are going to tear into her is probably still legit.

Some games I've played in will have an entire pass play through before effects of this kind are registered.  For example, a dose of Narco that hits on CT 1 IP 3 wouldn't take place until CT 2 IP 3, but that kind of book-keeping probably isn't necessary.  If it shows up later, and having that extra pass is the difference between a PC getting a kill-shot off at the bad guy or making her way to the car for a getaway, etc. we can revisit as necessary.

the IC post does look good.  The crowd is definitely into putting these guys and girls down.

CT 3 IP 2 Actions:

Simple: Sheath katana
Simple: Shooting the Predator Pistol: 12d6t5 5
No Action: Marissa is staying mobile and basically kiting the flame beast to avoid shooting in melee.  at 12m walking rate, shouldn't be unreasonable.

The Phoenix hits with 2 Net Hits.  9P -2AP, staged to 11P -2AP exceeds the modified Immunity rating of 10.  Spirit gets 5 auto-hits, but can't soak enough of the remaining damage and is disrupted.

Well done!

CT 3 IP 2
The Phoenix: 14

Lil Rambo: 11

Baldie: 4
Knight: 4
La Sombre: 3

I'm on my way out the door now, so I'll have to address the rest of the NPCs later.

The entire team is under Sammo's Concealment power, or at least will be by the end of this turn -- this IP to Materialize, next IP to use the Power.  I went ahead and put in the fluff in my last IC post.  Salsha has Materialized, so that she can start protecting the group more actively in the next CT.

Both the man shooting at the Gopher, and the man in the Gopher with the Assault Rifle took damage this pass.  Neither will probably survive another hit like that.

Action to La Sombre and The Phoenix.

ETA: Christmas came early, for kindly ol' red here.  I went to drop the kiddos off at my folks house last night so the wife and I could go see an old friend who's doing a touring Broadway show, and when I showed up my folks had pulled down some of my old toys from the attic.  Included in the haul was HeroQuest, the game that got me into RPGs.  It still has everything.  Oh, I can't wait to see if the kiddos are old enough to enjoy it.

Also included was DragonStrike, which I didn't enjoy nearly as much, but my early homebrew systems -- on of which was very Shadowrun-esque -- used the DragonStrike mechanics for hitting and damage.

Any of you guys play those games when you were wee little tykes?

Hero's Quest, definitely!  Such fun times :)

-----

So, someone in a Shin hung opened the door and presented me with a target, eh?  Fun.  From my spot, I am going to take aim to negate the neg from probable range modifiers.  As concealed and still trying to be moderately hidey, I will roll with the 'Superior Position' modifier, it's the last two dice on the roll, so if we need to strike those out, those are the ones.  If it's possible, I'd like to hit the driver.  It would be lovely if the driver and the guy who opened the door and is shooting the SMG are the same guy.

If not, I'll take what I can get with the SMG guy.  Stopping him from shooting Civvies is probably helpful.

He probably has cover, I'll leave that to the defense side:

Shooting: 4 this with or without the last two die.

Again, burst mode, so -2 to defense.

He's also strapped into a seat and less able to dodge.

Shooter is not wearing a seatbelt.  The Shin-Hyung is facing northerly, from the map, so the shooter doesn't have cover from the door itself, but does from the body of the vehicle and seat.  The driver is aware of the shoter and about 20M out, Take aim will shift Long to Medium range, but La Sombre loses 1 success.

The shots miss, and they drop one of the crowd.
