@Poindexter Switching to the XM30 is easy enough. As for the frag grenades, the grenade launcher in the XM30 is loaded via clip. Sam could remove the clip of flash-bangs and load the partial-clip he has of frag grenades (2 remaining), but he wouldn't have enough time to, say, remove the first two flash-bangs from that clip, replace them with frag grenades, and then reload the mixed clip.
@Malevolence Either that's not how they understood the question or they answered evasively. Ohanzee's Initiative is modified to 8 due to Combat Paralysis. But, yes, a particularly lamentable initiative roll. Since commanding Bear is only a Simple Action, and can be done mentally, then Ohanzee certainly has time to issue instructions prior to the action starting.
@rednblack1. Ace is about 20 meters from the men on the left flank. He's about 20 meters from the Rozkhi (in a different direction). He's 14 meters from the van. I'll try to get a map up next.
2. My initial reaction was "lasers go pew pew!" But, more to your point, the question then becomes "do these weapons actually shooting lasers or plasma?" Plasma is more realistic but the fluff does say "concentrated beam of light". The former would certainly make noise because a rapidly expanding ball of plasma would cause the air to be compressed in a shockwave. But if it's a laser, then it's silent.
However, if it's a laser then it's also incredibly bright and obvious, especially in an intensely dark setting such as the one we have here. So, if the question you're really asking is "Can I fire and remain concealed?" the answer is no. If it's plasma, there will be a sound (and probably a flash). If it's a laser, then there's a giant beam of light burning holes in people. In both cases it will call attention to Ace's position.
3. Let's back up and make a Sneaking test for Ace to see how well he hid:
Agility 9 + Sneaking 3:
12d6t5 4 hitsNow, some Perception tests for the goons. They won't benefit from thermographics due to Ace's snow+space blanket combo.
Smaller goon:
0 hits, he's busy focusing on the meet
Bigger goon (troll):
1 hit, a glance in Ace's direction, but Ace is pretty sure he wasn't spotted
Regarding the IC question of what would happen to these spirits if they're disrupted, the answer is a qualified yes. There's a lot of "in theory, it works this way," but given the nature of the free spirits (the obelisk) who knows if theory applies or not.

Did I miss anything? I'll try to do a map after I get back from lunch.
