I do not have Stolen souls.  However I do have hero lab and have been looking at the comments on this item.  The comments talk about it being able to dose people, that it has enough for one dose of toxin.  Ok, all good.  My question has o do with how does it work, is it a gas, what do you use for attacking with it (Does it include an autosoft?) etc...

I suspect Stolen Souls does not have much more than I am able to figure out from Hero Lab, but would like some more information

From 4th edition
The Dragonfly  is equipped with Targeting (Close Combat) 4
autosoft . The standard version has a DV of 5 (AP 0) against mini- and
microdrones and a DV of 1 (AP +1) against other targets. The anti-vehicle
version has a DV of 3 (AP –1) against vehicles (including mini- and
microdrones) and a DV of 1 (AP+1) against other targets. The C-12
version uses the stats of a High Explosive grenade (one use only).

My rigger also used these as faux mosquitos to collect biometric/dna samples from targets

Not to speak poorly of successful usage, but keep in mind they're small drones - the size of a 4e commlink or toaster, roughly.

Maybe he's a CAS runner out of Texas?
Where am I going? And why am I in a hand basket ???

Our (now deceased) rigger used to retrofit them with ultra wideband radar and let out a whole swarm of 'em. Say goodbye to the fog of war.

That's debatable, at best. Drone sizes have never been very clear, and some descriptions put mini and small drones in vastly different actual size categories. I would have played this as an actual dragonfly size, which is still sizeable but not even close to toaster size.

"The Dragonfly is about as large and looks very similar to its natural counterpart, though true insect fl ight is still not technically possible...", Arsenal, p.117  ::)

Which roughly fits the Microdrone description as their natural counterparts have a wingspan from 2 to nearly 20 cm.

So, from a commlink to a large dog. That's a pretty wide range right there...

I get the feeling that description of the sixth world (2075 onwards) has suffered, in part because the loss of nano-fabrication and return to older techniques wasn't given the attention it needed to cement itself as A Relevant Thing™ for the casual reader. It was just a side effect of the latest body snatcher invasion, and the corporations that went under because of it weren't big enough to stand out in the noise of other events.

I think CGL got it mixed up !
because to me the Mikroskimmer (Frisbee sized or even can lid sized in 4th ed.) should be a Minidrone and  the Fly Spy and Horizon Flying Eye should both be Micro Drones
....I mean , come on, a Frisbee is NEVER smaller than an Eyeball   ( not even the Eyeball of a Grey One ;) )

Hough!
