He takes his still burning cig and rubs it out on the side of the shack then walks around to the front of the bar.  Heading inside to find and bug the owner.  Maxwell sees Strawberry serving a bunch of rowdy yakuza more booze as he enters.  Waiting for her to finish and head back behind the counter before walking over to talk.

@Maxwell - Strawberry is unresponsive but the house is fully equipped, the refrigirator is filled with fresh fruits and there are all the comforts you could expect at a medium-low life style. (The food is actually a lot better than you'd expect.)

@Kynos It is subtle you notice that the message came from some blob of organic matter in the vicinity of the van. A closer inspection reveals it to be a head with an implemented comlink. Somebody got very excited with a very sharp blade. The comlink is constantly blipping as if it is trying routinely to make a call. The fact that you can see the comlink indicates that a lot of the organic matter was also consumed by what ever is eating the van.

Curious, Kynos drove nearer to the head. Times like this made him rue the day he elected not to take that combat decker advanced training. Well there was nothing to it: He had to bring that hot potatoe up to the surface.

@Kynos It has and to pick the head you need a pilot water craft + reaction (threshold 2)  if you beat the threshold feel free to RP getting it up. Otherwise you'll have to leave the submarine.  You can try multiple times with additional negatives of -2 per time tried and on a glitch you damage the device.

Athos nods to himself.  >>Kynos.  Got it.  I am asking Cat for advice.<<  **Cat, you there?  Are you aware of my surroundings?  We are investigating the wreck of a truck that went off the bridge in an ambush.  Kynos is in a small submarine looking at the vehicle, or what is left of it.  Apparently some sort of nanite system is dissolving the vehicle and the flesh of at least one person left in the truck.  Kynos is bringing a head to the surface.  The head contains an implanted commlink that we would like to access.  Do you have any advice on how to deal with this without letting the nanites destroy us and the boat?**

@Athos Cat say "Head is important, comlink in head is usually expensive and expensive means rich. Rich means medically insured and medically insured suggests an army of doctors and security protecting one from losing their head... might I suggest run?"

@Kynos The little submarine grabs the head and you gradually take it out. At about 10 meters the matrix reception is strong enough and you can see that the device starts taking out calls.

@Athos and Minnie by the time Kynos is up you can already see several drones heading your way. One of them is an ambulance drone and the rest are armed rotor drones. At the distance you can also hear a police siren.

Playing with the passersby was getting rather old when my keen senses detect the sound of sirens and the approaching drones.  I hop up to join Athos in the pilot section of the boat.  "What's happening?" I ask, suspecting my unaugmented nature is missing events in the matrix right now.

Athos moves lazily to the boat's controls, but his mind is working quicker.  >>Kynos.  The head must be talking to someone.  It looks like the person may have had an AutoDoc contract.  We have an ambulance and some sirens on the way.  Can you shut the commlink off?  If not, you probably need to dump the head and remain submerged for a bit while making your way to another part of the lake.  Are there any identifying marks on the head that we can use?  Maybe take a good pic so we can try to find out who the dead man is.  Maybe we can go find out how he ended up in the lake<<

@Athos and Minnie the drones seems confused as Kynos descends and they seem to be scanning the top of the lake with a search pattern instead of rushing toward you. What actually worries you is a small KE patrol ship signals you to let them board.

I give a worried look to Athos but it's not like we have much we can do at this point.  Our little boat can't outrun the KE patrol cruiser and we have no hiding options like we might have in busy Seattle.  If they fire on us and we sink, we're at their mercy anyway.  And then we'd LOOK guilty.  I move back to the side of the boat to prepare to assist visitors aboard, loosening my jacket to show cleavage - ready to do what only I can do in such a situation...

I'll have these goons eating out of my hand...
