Athos waves at Minnie first then Kynos.  "Nice to meet you Sovereign.  The beautiful woman is Yulia and this is Kynos.  We heard that you sling mojo pretty good."

Maxwell glances over from the girl to the elf back to the troll.  "Charmed, and yeah you won't find a more badass mage than me in the barrens.  Before we do anything I have some questions that need answering.  Trust is becoming a commodity in Seattle, so i'd like to know who i'm working with and why."

Athos nods.  "Fair enough.  Until a couple of days ago I was a rising star in the Finagin Family of the Seattle Mafia.  My boss trusted me with a delicate mission to finalize the negotiation of the transfer of some property from the Yaks.  All was going well until the building blew up.  Now I am running for my life and could be toxic and there is probably a price on my head.  I am trying to prove who set me and my boss up, prevent a gang war between the Mafia and the Yaks, and regain my position in the Family with an eye to moving up in the world.  Yulia is my partner and friend.  I have hired Kynos to help me.  So, is that enough trust for you?  If it is, you can reciprocate by telling us a bit about yourself."

[Mulcarn]

Maxwell sighs.  "It's a long story so i'll try to give you the short version.  I embarrassed a Yakuza boss named Venom during a run so he's placed a bounty on my head.  I killed the first assassin he sent my way but that didn't deter him.  After coming home from another run I find out from some guy standing at my doorstep saying that there's a bomb in my apartment.  Apparently Venom got desperate and hired one of the Nukes to set up a trap to kill me.  Well I had a friend who knew a friend who told a friend to warn me about it.  Anyway I spend the night in a warehouse then spent the better part of today roaming around in a scavenger hunt that led me to a Horizon security building.  I talked with someone there and come to find out that a vampire named Damian Grail is here in Seattle and that Venom is working with him.  Probably so he can be turned himself.  A friend of mine that I mentioned earlier had been captured by Grail in order to do some technical crap to help further his plans.  I leave and bring this news to Strawberry because I figured she might be able to help in this matter.  Turns out I was right and she gave me a new place to stay and hired me to help stop Venom and Grail."  Maxwell stops himself to let all this information he bombarded the three in front of him to sink in.

He takes a deep breath before continuing on.  That's about the gist of the situation.  There's more to it than what I told you but I doubt you want to listen to me drone on and on about all the endless details that led up to this point."

"Hi Souvereign. I am called Kynos, I like long walks on beaches and hurt people for money. One of those statements is a lie.

But seriously, that's good to know. We happen to hunt that vampire and Venom as well. Especially Venom, since I have unfinished business with him too. At the moment we have a severed head in a cooler trailing 12 m below our boat to prevent an implanted commlink from calling the cops. Once we can get it up here, we need you to call some spirit thingy to help us find the vampire who is probably the one who did the severing. It's quite likely, that his lair isn't to far from this position.

Meanwhile I'll go on land over there and fetch what looks like a genuine wooden branch, so I can whittle us some sawdust while we wait for the jammer to arrive."
Kynos indicated towards a tree that grew close to the waterline.

[Mulcarn]

Maxwell busts out in a raspy laugh.  "Hail and well met.  And I hope it isn't the hurt people for cash one."  His humor didn't last as Kynos' words began to resonate.  He grew serious at the thought that his mark was nearby.  "It's a good thing I arrived.  I'd hate to miss an opportunity to put an end to Grail's schemes.  Show me all that you've found and i'll see if he left a trail."

While Kynos and Sovereign talk, Athos takes the opportunity to send a message.  >>Dave.  Athos here.  Is there any chance that you can deliver the jammer?  I have it under water and cannot bring it out.  I can cover some extra for the personal service.  Let me know.  Sending location.<<

Kynos had retreived the branch and was now in the process of carving tiny slivers from it into his coat pocket with the help of the knife stashed in the ankle sheeth of his discarded diving suit.

Pick your goods and you shell recieve. Notice that the area jammer is illegal, and that you technically need a licence for the head one. Not that I care too much just so you know.


Athos will pick his jammer and about 40 minutes later a rotodrone is going to deliver the tool.

"I specialize in the art of casting flame, but I do more than that.  I can mend broken bones and torn flesh.  I can augment one's battle sense and their speed.  I can make someone disappear or distort their view of reality.  So in essence I do a bit of everything."  Maxwell raises an eyebrow when he sees Kynos whittling the wooden branch.  "Oh you weren't kidding about the wood thing."

Athos interrupts the chatter.  "Hey guys.  I have a R2 area jammer on the way.  I hope that will meet our needs here.  He also thinks a message.  **Cat.  Would the area jammer hurt you?**

Athos cat sort of laugh ... "No not at at all... tickle a little bit perhaps. I thought you wanted a head jammer for the head... tough I am certain that this was not the original use. " Indeed, not long later your jammer arrives and you can try and move the comlink out of the water.

Athos takes the jammer from the delivery drone and gets it set up.  He looks at the others and says, "OK.  Let's try to bring it up and jam its signal.  The we can find a way to turn it off and get out of here to look at it in greater detail.  Anyone see any problems with that?  If a head jammer would work better, I could order it, but it would take another forty minutes to get here.  The rating is 6, compared to 2 for the area one.  Ideas?"

[Mulcarn]

Maxwell looks at the troll like he has no idea what the hell he's talking about.  "I'm not very technically savvy.  So do whatever feels best."

"Yeah, definitely get the head jammer. If you get a commlink implanted in your head its usually of highest quality. That means it will punch through a R2 Jammer like a hot knife through butter."
Kynos looked up from his work: So far he had produced a lot of little pieces of wood and what looked like to stakes.
