Pressing down on her accelerator to catch the van, she tried her hardest to send another spike before it crashed into there bikes, taking note of the group as they ran towards the van. "Not today you don't!" She muttered under her breath as she tried to close the distance.

Rolling 8d6
( 2 + 5 + 3 + 6 + 1 + 6 + 3 + 5 ) = 31 For driving skill to catch up. 4 Successes!

Rolling 2d6 + 9      Standard Initiative
( 4 + 4 ) + 9 = 17

Rolling 5d6 + 9      Matrix Initiative
( 6 + 3 + 3 + 5 + 5 ) + 9 = 31

Just so im squared away! :D

As Spitfire surges ahead, Artie whips the small cylinder she holds, revealing an arching monofilament whip.  As soon as she can, she whips it directly at the back tire, attempting to shred it before recoiling the whip back into its handle.

Initiative: 23
Monofilament Strike: 6 hits Called shot to the Wheel. Dmg 12P (+Net Hits) v-8 to the Tire.

I subtracted 4 from my Dice Pool for that.  There is no listed Called Shot to the Wheel.  The closest is Called Shot to the Axle on page 115 of Run and Gun.  For that, if even 1 point of DV gets through, it drops the speed of the vehicle to 1.  I could see losing a tire dropping the handling and speed each by 1 (not all the way to 1), but looks like it's your call if I can even target the tire, much less the effect.  If you want it to not be Tire but to be an Axle Hit since that's in the book, then I lose the last two rolls on that and it's only 5 hits, not 6.

OOC: Current initiative order:

1. Decker 27 - (Nagisa's friend) -  VR initiative: 8+5d6 27 (Matrix perception)
1. Big Jim -  Brake away.
2. Artie - 23 - strike wheel
3. Rigger - 18 - driving bulldog. Initiative: 7+5d6 18
4. Spitfire 17 - (data spike?)
5. Goon 1 (In bulldog) - 12 Initiative: 2#8+1d6 12 11
6. Goon 2 (In bulldog) 11
7. Nagisa  9

I am starting to resolve -

1. Decker use matrix perception to locate spitfire.
Matrix perception: 12d6t5 5
Spitfire roll logic + sleaze you need 5 hits not to be detected.

2. Artie strikes wheel -  I think I'll treat it like called shot wheel. (-2 to vehicle tests driving if cause damage)
core rules - p 205.
Dodge whip: 14d6t5 4
2 net hits damage is 14P -8
Resist damage: 22d6t5 10
Bulldog takes 4 damage.
(I can change to that other called shot if you like, in any case vehicle has now -1 to limits due to damage taken, and either -1 to speed (or handling) , or -2 dice to drive.)

I am now just waiting to see where Big Jim fits in this puzzle. WRT to rigger.

Oh no you're not shouted BigJim unknowingly at the same time as Spitfire. Eh quickly analyze the Van collision course, and grabbed Nagasi's arm. C'mon, we can make it. Today's my lucky day!
He ran to his bike, dragging the Decker along. He pushed the engine and as the bike took momentum, made a sharp left to get out of the Van's trajectory.

Edge point to steal the initiative. which put BigJim at 27 this combat turn. Action are to drive the bike to dodge the Van and get the hell out.

Big Jim and Nagisa hop the bike just in time to get the engine running before that bulldog van that is already too close and too fast for comfort tries to ram them. Nagisa cry in horror and big Jim understands, if that Van hit them, it may kill them, he imay actually survive that but Nagisa is likely to die on the spot.

Ramming Nagisa and Big Jim: 13d6t5 5 (The limit is 4 thanks to Artie's whip)
you need 4 hits in your defense roll not to be hit.  You dodge with reaction+ intuition and are limited by the handling of the bike.

Int+Rea: 10d6t5 2
Pushing the Limit: edge 7+ 2 6s to explode: Int+Rea: 9d6t5 4
Exploding 6s: Int+Rea: 3d6t5 2
Exploding 6s: Int+Rea: 2d6t5 0

Drive Bike: 7d6t5 3

BigJim, moves the bike and with it Nagisa just a split second before the Van would have collide with them.
He let a deep Yeah! yell come out of him, high on the adrenaline. Living on the edge, lady

Poor Nagisa may get into shock but at least they were alive. For a little longer at least. Now he counted on Spitfire and Artie to cover them while they flee.

Still fallowing the van Spitfire throws out another dataspike, doing her best to both keep up with the van and run the spike. Taking note of Artie throwing around a monowhip, God I hate that stuff. she thought to herself.

Rolling 10d6 for data spike
( 3 + 6 + 6 + 1 + 5 + 1 + 3 + 2 + 4 + 6 ) = 37
4 sucesses for my data spike, lets see if we nail his engine...

@Spitfire , The riggers firewall stops your signal and drops it back at you. Your deck seem to overheat and is showing some smoke. It is still operating but the damage seem to pile up.
Defense: 8d6t5 5 You take 1 un resisted matrix damage.
You still need to roll logic + sleaze to let me know if the decker sees you.

@Big Jim - two goons in the bulldog are attempting to fire at your bike while on the move, with their gangster style sub-machine guns.  They spray the bike with bullets and does not seem to concern as to whom is going to be hurt. Apparently they want to prevent Nagisa's extraction even at the price of her own life.
Fire at Bike: 2#6d6t5 3 2
They are full auto (simple)  so  -5 to dodge, (damage is 8P  + net hits)
Ares Sigma with regular bullets. if they hit both the passengers and the bike take damage. (remember also that your handling limit is lowered by 1 due to another passenger.)

Nagisa on her own turn seem to manage to overcome her fear and lunches a data spike with minute hand gestures that Big Jim would interpenetrate as flirting if he hadn't seen her data spike before.  When she is done there is a black smoke coming from the dashboard of the van and some minor explosions. The goons  in the van, watch in horror - as their ride is suddenly uncontrolled and just race across the street.

Data spike: 12d6t5 2
Data spike defense: 8d6t5 1
damage resistance: 8d6t5 2 4 marrix damage taken device fired, the van is now uncontrolled and the goons can try to keep it controlled but with one tire missing and their modest driving skills they need a lucky roll.

@Artie with all this excitement it is time to go, you can hear the guards that are galloping toward you, hear them but cannot yet see them as the cookie shop is in the way. The two bikes are getting closer as well.

OOC: - round 2.
1. Decker 17 -  data spike?
1. Big Jim 14 -
2. Artie - 13 -
3. Rigger - 18 - driving bulldog. Initiative: 7+5d6 18
4. Spitfire 7 - must spend a drive action if she does not want to crash.
5. Goon 1 (In bulldog) - 2
6. Goon 2 (In bulldog) 1
7. Nagisa  0  - no more initiative.

Gritting her teeth in frustration as her deck does little to the rigged car she punches the gas on her bike to catch up to Big Jim, Thinking to herself. And here comes the chase scene, at-least Nagisa nailed the damn van....

Rolling 12d6 to remain stealth
( 6 + 4 + 2 + 2 + 6 + 3 + 6 + 6 + 6 + 1 + 4 + 1 ) = 47 5 successes not bad but not great.

I don't think I have to roll a drive test as im not dodging anything, let me know gilga if I do and ill edit this post with the roll.

@All the van out of control and crush into one of the wooden buildings. One of the goons barely manage to jump out the other was trying unsuccessfully to establish manual control. Who knows, the bulldog itself completely passed through the building and stopped somewhere inside.

I am waiting for big Jim's dodge and for a clarification.
Artie - on foot or on bike.
Spitfire no roll necessary unless you'd like to keep up with big jim that speed up trough the road.
(you need 3 hits for that).

Artie holds on to the tail of the bike and urges Spitfire to get them moving out of there.

Yeah, when controlling a vehicle, once per combat turn you have to make a drive test or crash.  When it doesn't really matter, you can have the dog brain make the drive test, but when you really need to get performance, best if you do it.
That's just like... your opinion, man.

Pressing down the gas she manages to catch up to Big Jim if only barely, and gave him a small two finger salute.

Rolling 8d6
( 5 + 5 + 1 + 2 + 3 + 6 + 1 + 4 ) = 27 3 successes so barely xD

And as a free action ill turn my cyberdeck off, for now.

OOC: since I do not want to keep you waiting I'll roll defense for Big Jim he got 10 dice and -5 so he will use full defense.
That means 9 dice for the first full auto and 8 dice for the second. Since he has high edge and does not want Nagisa killed I'll assume he expend edge to reroll if he is hit.
Dodge bullets+ Full defense: 9d6t5 2 (2 vs 3) hit.
reroll: 14d6t5 5
negated with edge (I think that's the third point of edge).
Dodge bullets+ Full defense: 8d6t5 2
The second burst is good enough.
Third attack by the goon that jumped out.
dodge bullets: 7d6t5 3 also dodged

@All
-  Big Jim some how manage to evade unharmed the inferno he suffered. Luck must really be on the side of that one. Once the van crushes Big Jim even dodge the third shower of lead by the goon that managed to jump out.
Right now, you are all on bikes and as you continue to speed toward safety you notice that about 150 meters after you there are the two bikes Bruno warned you about. The rigger must have already recovered from being 'dumped' as there is also a well armed rotodrone that approaches you from the north.

You have some options, in front of you there is a bridge that crosses the 405 highway.  It has small KE checkpoint on it. On the other side of the 405, there is Bellevue. It is a rich neighborhood and if you somehow cross that bridge it is unlikely that the conspicuous bikers and the roto drone will follow you, as the security is very tight.

If you do not cross the bridge, you can either turn right, (north) or left (south), this will also limit your options and you will better retreat deeper into the Barrens as you may be spotted by the drones of Bellevue and if you flash some illegal firepower it may backfire.

@Artie- unable to Spot Spitfire but spotting your mono-whip the decker prepared you some nasty surprise. (Now I am not sure if the monowhip is wireless if it is not I'll think about some other thing that decker can try to do.)
Data spike: 12d6t5 3
You defend with Intuition + firewall the damage is 5 + net hits.

"South on Slater!"  Artie didn't think her SIN would hold up to scrutiny on either side of an armed chase.  It worked fine for day to day passage, but she didn't want to test it with the mob hot on their tails.  That thing had cost her some serious cred.

As they turned left, Artie waited until Spitfire was in the slowest point of the turn, yelled, "KEEP GOING!" and then hopped off, tumbling and regaining her feet before ducking behind a tree.  If she timed this right...

Artie is wireless disabled, she doesn't have a lot that benefits from wireless functionality and is to vulnerable to being hacked.

Her plan here is to wait until a rider (preferably the second rider) is coming into the turn and then time her rush and basically clothesline him off of his bike, very action movie style.

Gymnastics to hop off of Spitfire's bike, 7 Hits Elegant!

Sneaking to not be noticed as she sets her ambush.11 Hits, WTF?!, they have -3 to Perception to see her.

Unarmed attack, a jumping clothesline (maybe they are surprised by the ambush?) 5 Hits.  Hopefully they are surprised and won't even get a defense!

Gymnastics to land and not get eat asphalt herself 6 Hits, she should compete!
That's just like... your opinion, man.
