Kachina's eyes opened wide as she quickly returned into her body.
<<He's a powerful mage  with two spirits, at least one bound. Forty, send your spirit to attack one of his on the Astral. I'll take care of the other and keep them busy while you guys neutralize the man. I need the him alive.  Henway, get some heavy ordnance ready should one spirit manage to manifest. Vanguard, if I'm out you're in charge. Angus and Forty, make sure he doesn't not escape, Ravener, make sure the Van stays there.>>

She took a deep breath and summoned her own spirit. She could feel the accumulation of sheer power gathering inside the Van. The face of a Indian warrior with glowing feathers was only centimeters away from her own face, if anyone could see the Astral plane that was, staring at her, almost curious of who was brave and strong enough to bring him to this world/plane. The powerful warrior's faint facial features distort into a grin and backed away a more reasonable distance, seemingly satisfied and waiting for Kay's requests.

Guys, Now!

As soon as she spoke the words, her Astral form left her body again, and with now her Spirit companion by her side and hopefully Forty's, she launched an attack at the Astral forms of the Terrorist's Spirits.

Guys, Now!

VanGuard's pulse quickens as he sends the command to the van to open the rear doors and jumps into the Bumblebee.  Immediately he guides the Bumblebee to a good vantage point to take out the mage and steadies the drone's aim.  Unfortunately for VanGuard, the Mage wasn't cooperating.

Forty licks her lips, and asks her spirit to go commit mayhem on her behalf  Harry, lovely beast, I would ask my last favor of you.  There are two out there, Kachina, the mage beside me, is sending a spirit after one of them.  I respectfully request that you follow it out,  then attack the spirit it is not assaulting.  You are a wise beast and I entirely trust you to figure out the details.  Thank you.

Then she waits for the sound of gunfire before opening her door and leaning out to get a bead on the foe.

When the Kachina calls for action, Henway moves with a speed that simply does not match the sheer bulk of his form.  Someone this big should lumber, not glide, but glide he does as the van door pops open and he exits the vehicle, Ingram pointed directly at the mage being targeted by the rest of the group.  Relying on his smartlink to keep the light machine gun on target, his head swivels left, right, up and down, looking for any form of back up that might be arriving to assist their target.

Just as he gets to the stairwell to head up, he suddenly jumps over the rail putting it between himself and the team.  The full cover makes spotting him hard, but the stairwell isn't the most solid of structures.

Hard to say what he's doing back there, but givens awakened nature and the spirits, you doubt he's drawing anything as mundane as a gun.
That's just like... your opinion, man.

The below assumes that after Vanguard's and Ravener's actions the mage is not somehow contained or more easily targetable -- if that changes I'll edit this post.


As often happens, Forty's thoughts were running just a little slower than her mouth Drek, Kachina's A'd out -- no updated orders.  Gotta make my own call, so ..."Carpe Dayum!"

Forty surges out the unlatched door and starts suppresive fire centred on the stairs.  She mentally winces at the cost in stick 'n shock ammo that she's spewing around--especially since she knows that decent non-conductive armor could render the ammo almost harmless.  Still she hopes that this will be enough to keep their target in cover behind the stairs long enough for Angus to drop a gas grenade on him, or something.

After taking care of the obvious comlink, Ravener reaches out to the shadowy shape of the Ikon.  Slipping through the addblocker, he places a single feather mark on the comlink, before sliding a clawed finger in and disrupting the dialing program.  Smiling to himself, Ravener sends out a message, >>Team [Ravener] His comlinks are disabled and the truck is off, switching to AR to assist with capture.<<

As the mage ducks behind the stairs, VanGuard moves the drone towards a better line of fire and lets loose with a volley of electric pain and misery.  His limp body begins to dampen with a cold sweat as he strains mentally to line up the electronic crosshairs with a clear trajectory towards the target.  If he could speak out loud, currently, the diversity of the word "frag" would be quite exquisitely illustrated.

Bullets splash around the stairwell.  Concrete and plaster spray a shower of debris around the locatio, pinning the mage and keeping him from moving out.  The drone swings around and lays in, missing.  Turkish swears that the bullets were homing in on their target but must have curved.  Angus drifts out of the room, moving to assault from above.

In the astral plane, Kachina works to shatter the bonds of the unbound spirit as her own and Forty's spirits take on the bound.  It's a large spirit and the three swirl into a mass of scintillating colors.

As she watches, the mage shifts to a dual-natured form, existing on both the physical and the astral plane, as he opens his eyes to catch sight of the spirits attacking his own.

In both realms, he can be seen to draw a long bladed knife, a cougar fine blade, holding it in a reverse grip.

Henway opens up with the Ingram LMG, spraying bullets into the wall that conceals the mage since no other targets are visible.  He mutters to himself as the bullets spray chips of concrete but fail to penetrate the barrier.  Figgers dis is da one place in da plex dat built dere walls up ta code.  Frag me.

She knew it oh too well, Spirits could wreak havoc  in any team, let alone two of them. It was a draining task, but she had to do what she could to limit the risks. With her body safely  in the Van, he would have to project to attack her or help his Spirits, which would leave him fully at the mercy of the rest of the team. She kept a eye on him, though, ready to protect any of her teammate in case he decided to throw spell at them.

VanGuard notes the direction that Henway charges off to and then beelines the Bumblebee to create a crossfire, from a superior position.  He then commands the Fly-Spy with ultrasound to keep LOS on the mage and to enable the ultrasound sensors, one fly spy will watch the van the other the streets keeping eyes out for KE/LS/etc.  Once Bumblebee has as best as possible LOS on the mage, it lets loose with a second burst of Stick-n-Shock. 

Burst Fire on mage: 10d6t5 3 hits / -2 dice for running, -2 dice for recoil

Bullets arc around and through the air at the man as he twists around, the knife flashing at seemingly nothing.  A single round seems to catch him on the shoulder, causing him to flinch slightly but not otherwise slowing him down.  He flashes the blade in the air a few times, his face scanning the area.

The sound of automatic gunfire fills the air, punctuated by shrieks and cries from people in the neighborhood that are close enough to hear the firefight.

On the astral plane, one of the spirits flexes broadly then flees the scene, while the other enemy spirit ducks and bobs, fighting the combined might of Beta and Kachina's allies.  However, the mage himself joins that fray, his blade flashing quickly through Kachina's spirit, severing it's form and sending it off as well.
That's just like... your opinion, man.
