Slobbertooth ducked under the lightning strike, but in this movement he lost control of the grenade he was about to throw. He saw it fall just outside the blocked doorway, while he himself stepped behind the orange force field. From the corner of his eyes he saw the spirit flee back into room he had come from. Than the grenade reached the floor and the motion sensor registered the sudden stop.
The Grenade exploded. Slobbertooth managed to raise his hands to shield his face - a pretty useless gesture, but to his utter amazement the magic barrier actually prevented him from blowing himself up.
The shield held and instead directed the blast towards the other wall, tearing it away like tissue paper and blowing the whole reinforced front door out of its frame.
Light fell again into the darkened house and revealed the kitchen. In the middle of the room stood the male elf - now pretty much clearly identified as Woden.
The man had put on a lined coat and was surrounded by a red, shimmering haze, indicating a strong armor spell.
In his hand the man had a heavy pistol, Slobbertooth identified as the PSK-3.
Woden's left eye socket was uncovered and showed a glowing red orb where an eye should have been.
More important, he was surrounded by a half dome of the same brilliant orange energy that had saved Slobbertooth from the explosion.
Just as the Ork was about to react the barrier in front of him vanished and a bolt of pure agony descended on him.
From inside the car behind him, the cawing voices of four ravens began to scream.
bnc on the other hand was again frustrated by the excellent defense of the house's firewall.
