skill levels cap positive DP modifiers.

Is that a rule specific to this game, because that's certainly not in the book. :-?  I know that anything which increases a skill level directly (only few of these - namely reflex recorders and adept powers) can't surpass (natural skill/2).  Linked modifiers don't have any limitation that I know of besides the old "max DP of 20 or (skill + attribute)x2, whichever is higher" rule, which shouldn't be a problem with even my perception being under 20 dice with active looking bonuses.

And the amount of math on this character for the GM... Just scary.

I can crank out all the relevant dice pools for you if that's really what's bothering you with the guy. :)

Maybe, but not for long. And it wouldn't work well, as the character's Body, and Strength are abysmal. If anyone hacks his 'warez, he'd be crushed under their weight. ;P

He doesn't have a body anymore.  "He" is essentially a pile of organs and a brain in a metal case.  All he needs to do to avoid being hacked is to turn off wireless for his limbs and rely on DNI.  Since his nervous system can't be hacked, he's golden.  I even made sure to avoid Forbidden cyberware and have the enhancers as the only restricted cyber on him.  Naked, of guns and armor he's perfectly legal going anywhere.

Hes got a DP of 7-13 to do most things and can tack on an extra 8 dice from Edge 8 times per run.
There's literally nothing he can't do!  He is built to party!

Infiltration? 11 dice, +8 with edge.
Con? 9 dice, +8 with edge.
Shoot? 12 dice, +8 with edge.

He's a Mr. Lucky build! He'll play and play and play, I guarantee. ;D




But if what you really want me to do is take the gags off and make him just a hardcore killing machine, I can do that for ya, quick and easy.

Drop Animal Husbandry and Outdoors Groups; crank Firearms group up to 4.
Drop Artisan and Athletics group; add one to perception and pick up dodge with a ranged spec.
Drop Cracking group and Lucky, taking Edge down to 7; Bring Influence, Stealth and Electronics groups up to 3 each?

Not to mention you got a hacker on the team to notify that you are being hacked to help clean your system out. Bueller didn't know crap about anything, and he made out all right. Personality/background: Former Aztech near-cyberzombie experiment, he eventually shook off their brainwashing and fled to Denver, where they couldn't follow.  Having his memories back, wasn't much of a comfort.  He'd been packed up with the bags when GW had taken Denver in '61 and booted Aztechnology out.  It had been over a decade since he'd had his own mind, and he was still unsure of what was real and what was all a mem-plant.  He wasn't even sure why he'd woken up to who he really was after all these years.  Maybe it was the grenade that had gone off next to his head.  Maybe it was something in the Seattle air.  His olfactory sensors must have triggered the memory of going there as a child.  Whatever the reason, he had no idea what he was going to do, but he sure as hell needed to get out of Aztech's reach.

Okay, so the rule is probably just in my head - forget it. :P
As for the character. Well, my problem with him was that he's too heavily cybered. And there are ways to make him use his natural stats only, i bet.
I've gotta think this through. I don't know if i can handle all that in-game. I have a training today, so I'll post in about eight to ten hours.

Oh, it's quite alright to say no. 

I mostly made him as an experiment to see what I could manage with 400BP and a half million in nuyen. ;D

But if you want to see how he plays and something like the obvious cyberskull is just too attention-grabbing, I could shift things around a little to get him the Restricted Gear quality for a Synthetic cyberskull and a bevvy of Latex face masks.  He'd still light up every MAD scanner on the planet, but he could pass for normal in the right clothes.

It's just that i don't think i can keep up with the stats math, and with the character as it is.
By the way, I'll try to post the beginning before i leave. But I'm not in the best shape for that, as most of my efforts go into preparing for a winter RPG camp. Eight to twelve geek teens to take care of will be a bit tough. And that's two weeks. :)
