Yani doesn't need money. He needs Karma. Only thing I can think of that Yani would buy with cash is... um... well, I guess some military armor would be fun. lol! I am not gonna try it unless the Vory thing doesn't work. Kot did mention an inexpensive alternative that sounds shady, but might work for one night. Only problem is that Yani has like... 290¥, which is enough, but he can't make it there without CW helping him out...

Which leads back to the whole common goal thing.

Bat'Oni's thought process right now, the gentleman that has more information on the piece we're looking for can't meet til the next day, getting a base of operations and some rest is a good idea.

So, just keeping tabs here, there are 3 players that think a base of operations is important. That's enough for me to check on Yani's options in Character. Only problem is that I totally was lazy when I came up with that contact... his name is "Fixer" lol. Hey Kot, if I go a little wayward here on an international contact that works in your game, let me know. Otherwise, gonna wing it. Let's make it a female elf named "Nimgarthiel." She has helped Yani do some real dirty crap for various metahuman activist groups in Seattle. Perhaps she wants to help Yani with some world-wide establishment. Guess we'll see....

I'd say for those who aren't bent on going alone CW's place would be the best choice to crash for the night. You might call Uncle Good Advice, and ask him about that safehouse, but you reckon that would take some time - a place for five, secure and secret enough for your mission...
When you think about it that way, there's a lot of money in it. And he promised to pay for it.

P.S. Don't worry, you have ~12 hours to do whatever you want, and after that 'downtime' we'll just fast-forward to the meeting with Teatime (that's his street name).

Teyl,

I thought we might want to skip till the meat with Teatime. That's why I proposed three spots already for skipping the night.
I don't have any other leads, my contacts still didn't called back (Kot, by the way, what is the result of my calls, and some guys promised to call back as well). If you have any, share them, I'd be more than happy to follow. And I believe others as well.

Logistic isn't important as long as you're not trying to smuggle illegal stuff or armed trolls trhough checkpoints, nor unless you plan to hit a corp building and a need to have a spot to reatreat after the run. And before/if we got there (judging that it took as a week RL to conclude the fixer meeting) by that time we'll have it secured.

In other words, dividing is not a good option.
Sorry for a small delay ;)

They're working on it. I was rolling real dice for that. As for the fixer meeting, I was working at the time, and had to sacrifice sleep to GM, so it couldn't really go faster.  :)

That wasn't your GMing involved here, it is rather our own lack of decision making. At the point we were almost moving out to meet Teatime, then got back to safe house issue, and now we're almost moving to check out the city.
Sorry for a small delay ;)

As for the safehouse, you can build one as a team, using the Runner's Companion rules. Just don't go over 15 points. :)

@ Sentinemodo

I'm not trying to divide the group, I just want to help push things along and do something that will benefit us as a whole. The best use of Whisper is as a scout. Your character and everyone else's should have read his profile. They should KNOW THAT. What I want to do with him won't hurt the plans we've already made.
.P.S. Don't worry, you have ~12 hours to do whatever you want, and after that 'downtime' we'll just fast-forward to the meeting with Teatime.
He just wants to get his bearings in this new area, he's been doing this his whole career, and it would only benefit the whole group to have more people who know about the area we are about to be operating in. I've already talked to Kot and he's stated already that it wouldn't break up the group and isn't worried about it. All it just means while you guys hang out at the club where you feel safe till we've got someplace better to sleep and work, where whisper has very little to do, or contribute, Whisper will be out doing what can help us all move around and maybe even uncover something worth the while.

Ooo... man, Kot. If you are gonna let us have some qualities in a safehouse, I'd say we need Security Conscious (+2), Inconspicuous Housing (+2), Escape Tunnel (+3),  Privacy Screen (+3). That's 10... and the last 5 could be Feng Shui! woot! +3 to all technical skills.

I think you went a bit overboard there. With all that you get a 2x2m basement. With all the perks, but nothing besides. :P

CW's place is small, but there's enough space to crash. His flat is in the Old Chełm neighborhood, 20+ minutes walking from the place you're in. It's an old apartment, so it should fit the five of you.

awe... snap... lol.

Well, I don't have time to post it all right now. But When Yani get's a bed, cot, chair, couch, or a semi-clean spot on the floor to sleep, he is gonna check up on our man Teatime, and make sure Whisper is doing okay "roughing it."

Actually, I decided hacking Teatime would take too much time and energy out of game. If Teatime gives Yani a better in-character reason to hack once they meet in person, then maybe he'll do it. For now, gonna use 6 hours for trying to register a sleuth sprite, and 6 hours for rest. These action will be performed in Yani's biological node in VR. I am assuming Yani is no longer tipsy from his drink, but if he is, we may have to knock a dice or 2 off these rolls.

Compiling Rating 6 Sleuth Sprite with Decrypt and Scan Optional CF's:
Resonance 6 + Compiling 5 + Paragon Bonus 1 + Hot Sim 2 = 13 dice, 13d6.hits(5) → [6,6,4,4,2,3,2,4,4,4,4,6,5] = 4 hits... + 1 more dice (Forgot about the paragon bonus and remembered after I rolled) 1d6.hits(5) → [2] = 0 hits. Total of 4 hits.

vs.
Rating 6 Sprite Opposed test, 6 dice, 6d6.hits(5) → [3,1,5,4,3,6] = 2 hits. 2 net hits, 2 tasks owed.

Fading DV = 4S, Resonance 6 + Charisma 6 = 12 dice, 12d6.hits(5) → [1,4,5,3,2,3,5,5,4,1,5,4] = 4 hits.
Fading soaked.

Registering Rating 6 Sleuth Sprite with 2 tasks owed (6 hour action):
Resonance 6 + Registering 5 + Paragon Bonus 1 +Hot Sim 2 = 14 dice, = 3 hits.
vs.
Rating 6 Sleuth Sprite Opposed Test x 2 = 12 dice, 12d6.hits(5) → [6,5,4,5,4,4,2,5,1,2,5,1] = 5 hits. Failed to register.

Fading DV = 10S, Resonance 6 + Charisma 6 = 12 dice, 12d6.hits(5) → [3,2,5,1,6,5,6,4,4,2,3,4] = 4 hits.

Yani takes 6 boxes of stun. Ouch.
Yani dismisses the sleuth sprite, since it will only hang out for 2 more hours anyway.
Yani Sleeps 6 hours:
Healing tests (1 hour each):
Body 2 + Willpower 3 = 5 dice, 5d6.hits(5) → [5,1,4,6,3] = 2 hits
5d6.hits(5) → [6,1,4,3,1] = 1 hit.
5d6.hits(5) → [2,4,2,6,3] = 1 hit.
5d6.hits(5) → [4,2,4,1,3] = 0 hit.
5d6.hits(5) → [5,3,4,5,6] = 3 hits.
5d6.hits(5) → [3,6,3,4,2] = 1 hits.

lol, I am starting to feel like it's almost worth it to spend build on registered sprites. I definitely feel like it's worth it to spend build on bound spirits now, especially rating 6 ones.
