[Saturday July 11th?, 2076; Great Hall, Lyonesse, Metaplane]

If Isaint’s communication upset the Murder Clowns from their purpose it is impossible to see…at least at first…then it might just be a trick of the telling but suddenly there are many more weapons apparently required for their performance…and the blades that whistle within microns of their fleet dancing forms aren’t mere theatre props, as seen from the occasional wisps of silken threads that flutter away from one of the performers…

The dance is getting wilder now as the Fall of Thera approaches, more abandon is woven into the tale and the time for the wedding ceremony grows near as the desperation of the doomed residents of Atlantis is unfurled for the enraptured audience…

The Nightmare, Vitaris has disappeared in to the crowd but something about the atmosphere has changed, there is more tension in the air, more than can be accounted for by the excitement of the performance, if anything is going to happen you have a feeling it will be soon…

Al got close to the two girls. "Little smoke, little mirrors, my sapphic senoritas soon senoras. Mimes is settin' things up, but we gon' throw the bad guys off they game a bit, make like I'm gittin' hitched ta the cello player..." unfazed by metaplanar travel, great dragons, or imminent attack by malevolent shadows, both girls' eyebrows hit their scalplines at the suggestion of the scruffy little man wedding the knock-out cellist on the stage. "Hey, ol' Al gits his share..." he protested, but with their faces openly incredulous, he stopped their giggles with "Game faces muchachas! Yer gon' be the best, er, the maid of honor, so when I leave 'er at the altar you'll be all lined up an' good ta go. Now stageward!"

The tension got to Isaint. He wasn't a drummer with years of experience - just an ork with good sense of timing, great awareness and a good enough head on his shoulders to quickly grab the basics of any given skill.
But now his drumming had started to become faster - mind you just a little bit - but over time it added up: A single bead of sweat had become visible across Robyn's forehead and the mime had begone to blur in their performance. For them it probably was just another challenge, but when Isaint noticed just how fast his drumsticks were moving he had to use all his focus to keep it going without bringing the performance to a catastrophic halt.

He had just managed to reduce the tempo a bit so he could again keep his eye on the people, but now he had lost visual contact to the Nightmare.
'This is complete madness. I'm banging on sheep skins entertaining a dragon while one of the most dangerous shadow spirits I ever met prepares to slaughter the crowd. And for some reason I worry about keeping my beat regular.'

It came as somewhat a relieve when he saw Al approaching the stage with the two brides.
The mimes already started to form the corridor and Isaint finally could allow himself to slow down, only keeping the bass drum going with his feet.

With a mental command he had his cloak change color from blood read to white with an intricate celtic knot design (actually just one knot that his agent had created and multiplied)
With a underhanded fling, he tossed the garment to the nearest mime who - without breaking stride, draped it across Robyn's back and fastened it before she even had finished her play.
<<Best I can do for a veil and wedding dress - at least you have something borrowed. Al will supply the old and blue>>

Deckard grew weary at the tension building up. He could sense it. And as usual ISaint's plan was madness, but as all the plans he had shared with teh Ork, it pretty much work every time. ISaint's issues seemed to indicate it had not always been the case but Deckard would do whatever he can to not go this route today.

He approached Robyn. His communication equipment -commlink, earbuds, subvocal mic, trodes - had taken weird forms, mostly jeweleries of sort. The trodes a thin headband with a crystal in the middle of the top of his forehead. A little girly to his taste but it worked well with the 'Wizard' image. He continued on the 'Channel' ISaint had opened, and that he somehow seemed to be able to hear.

I'm worried of casting spells here. This is a Metaplane, the line between what we define as physical and Astral is fine, here.  I can't guarantee my Mana Barrier will not be visible here and block everyone's view. That and there's many casters here, some quite on edge. A powerful spell cast in the middle of the ceremony could jeopardize this whole ceremony faster than we want to. That said, if you really want me to go for it, I'll start the casting on your signal.

He made space when on of the Mime put the now white cape around Robyn, and continued to observe the crowd. His magically enhanced senses could not find the Nightmare ISaint had noticed, but that wasn't surprising. After all the Vitaris House members were Demon worshipers, Nothing good could really come from them. But no House would benefit from an all out war.  Instead of looking for the Vitaris, he tried to spot the Old One, if he was there, waiting for ISaint's signal in case he would decide to take the chance of a rapid Mayhem.

If Robyn was not a consumate professional, her playing would have been very much affected by what is going on.  As it is, she continues to play her heart out, knowing that every note is perfect and in the right place within the overall drama.  She notices when ISaint provides his cloak and smiles at his comments even while maintaining the near frantic pacing of the music.  She had never, ever dreamed of playing to an audience that included dragons and the experience is almost surreal.  This is likely the most important performance of her long life and she gives it the skill it deserves.

Even with most of her attention focused on the music, part of her is continuously scanning her ultrasound sensor.  Although she can now see with real eyes, she relies more on the sensors out of habit.  Her implanted sensors for hearing and smell alert her that the tension level is rising and she remains very aware of her surroundings.  The huge hound at her feet picks up on his mistress' general feelings and raises its head to look about, ever conscious of the need to protect her.  Robyn takes a few seconds to send a message out.  >>Just in case something goes very wrong here, I would like to tell everyone that I have really enjoyed the experience.  Mostly, at any rate.  You guys are brilliant.  And Al?  I do love you and hope that you remember that......just in case.<<

Right there on the team channel? Couldn't blame her, he supposed. He was who he was.

<<Well, you are a peach, toots, no question. Catch up on all o' that when the job's done. No point defilin' nothin' by airin' it out here on the demon plane.>>

He was mounting the stage now, flanked by the two girls. They walked over to where Alyce was playing. The girls were walking in some sort of peculiar way - apparently they knew some sort of stylized way this was supposed to be done, but Al didn't give a hang about any of that hoi polloi. Long as he did his job by catchin' the king shit demon's eye....

At the appropriate moment, Robyn ends her playing with a flourish and sets the cello aside to stand up.  She steps forward to take Al's hand and smiles in spite of the tension and danger.  She knows that it is not the time to say anything squishy or romantic so keeps all of those thoughts safely in her head, but she cannot keep her pulse from picking up a bit as she touches the man.

With the last fading note a full second of silence filled the hall before the clapping started. Not like a full concert cheer, but a polite and in parts even enthusiastic acknowledgement of Robyn's superb rendition.
Isaint had stood up from behind the drums and picked up his shield, while the mimes had formed a guard of honor up to the stage. Finally he found a moment to reply to the messages:
<<@Rick: Alright, you know best about this, just be ready to erect a barrier.
@Robyn: My pleasure, but all in all I'd prefer it if none of you would die or get lost. So let's get this show on the road. Steel your mind against the dread powers - don't know if he still has succubi with him, but in any case be prepared for them.
@Al: Remember, we need to stand as witnesses, so even if you leave the altar, you need to stay to watch.>>

With that Isaint did what he had avoided up until now and opened his third eye so he could see the auras of the guests and the wedding party. It wouldn't do if the nightmare replaced their officiator...

[Saturday July 11th?, 2076; Great Hall, Lyonesse, Metaplane]

The Harlequinade begin weaving the tale of the Final Days, the citizens desperation as they realised their impending doom…the wild parties, almost to the point of debauchery, displays of wanton violence, but also joyful concerts and abundant weddings…one such to be recreated by Al and Robyn.

Your two witnesses are laughing but their looks turn to consternation as they see a tall figure barrelling towards the stage area with three, what can only be described as henchmen in tow…from his sigil you suspect he is an important representative of the Iron Company…and he doesn’t look best pleased…

Al muttered at ork-bride from the corner of his mouth, "Quick chica, who is he an' what does he want?"

'Sure, just what we need now.'
Isaint already was weaving down the steps between the mimes to prevent the bigwig from getting on stage just yet. The massive tower shield didn't hurt in that endeavor.
"Well, good sir. The play hasn't finished yet and the weapons that the Harlequinade uses are quite sharp. For your own protection, I have to ask you not to step any further."

Well, Deckard was no musician and his help with the whole concert had been limited. Nor was he good at being a groupie, and show the enthusiasm Al could have for the artists. But he official role was Magic security, and with or without imminent magic threat, he was taking his job of security very seriously.

Between Shadow spirits mingling with Demons worshipers, and a Great Dragon with his entourage, without forgetting the possible Necromancers, and other not so recommended Schools of Magic, he was pushing his attention and perceptive focus to its maximum. So when a quartet of soldier looking men came storming toward the stage, Deckard didn't hesitate and came to intercept.

He found himself standing next to ISaint - who gave a clear message of no trespassing with his massive shield. So the Mage simply decided to stand as imposing as he could without looking threatening. He let ISaint do the talking but  the Mana was already flowing inside him, ready to call upon it.

[Saturday July 11th?, 2076; Great Hall, Lyonesse, Metaplane]

Tamsyn looks worried, whispering “merciful Mother” but it is Cara who responds to Al’s question “It’s Fredryk, her uncle…he must know something is wrong…”

On the floor below Fredryk stares down at Isaint, no mean feat “Get out of my way you son of a cockroach!  That is my niece up there and I intend to fetch her away from this charade.  She will not dishonour the House of Senjak by being part of your circus!”

Using Isaint's Con (Fast Talk) specialization (for the first time) ;D
Fast Talk: 11d6t5 3 [11d6t5=5, 3, 2, 2, 4, 3, 6, 4, 5, 1, 1]
Fast Talk (Edge Reroll): 8d6t5 3 [8d6t5=3, 1, 3, 5, 2, 3, 6, 6]

Isaint took a deep breath, squaring his shoulders to enhance his already considerable mass while he kept up the stare:
"Your niece is an honored guest in this performance." 'Not to mention "essential"'
"This is holy ground with customs and rites almost as old as magic itself." 'Probably. I mean, who knows?'
"The Loremaster of the Dragons itself is here to see it." 'Not that he necessarily cares that much.'
"Your interruption will not be tolerated" 'At least by me and my chummers.'
"Your trespassing will have utmost regrettable consequences" 'Namely, that you'll ruin our whole plan, making me regret the whole thing.'
"I assure you, your houses' honor will be as good as it was once this has finished." 'After all, calling people cockroaches doesn't show much honor to begin with and your little niece already has committed to this relationship.'

Deckard just loved that ISaint's answer to a threat was always another threat. Forget the 'please' and 'thank you' of civilized discussion. He wondered what was the ratio of getting in trouble vs chickening out. Seems like at the end of the day it was a matter of showing who had the biggest balls... but his Centurion friend pretty much nailed it; in other word, if the Dragon don't mind, shut the hell up and go back where you came from. That and yes, we won't allow things to be interrupted.

Deckard mentally and gently placed his invisible Magic hands right in front of the Man chest, pretty much touching but not pressing against. Should the 'Uncle' decide to move a tad further, whether to move through or even get closer to ISaint to regain dominance, he would have to push against what was probably his most powerful Magic Fingers spell ever cast! A subtle but clear message: Don't get any further!

Though only a sustained F4, it was cast with Reagents with 10 successes. So AGI 10 and STR 10.

As tension grew and something was bound to happen soon, Deckard decided to call upon the Spirit World to bring a spirit inside him. Once again in this world, it didn't know how it would really work, but since his bound spririt had found ways to stay connected to him, he saw no reason the channeling wouldn't work either.

He felt this powerful energy flow through his body, quite different from Mana he usually feels while spellcasting. It was invasive, but controlled and powerful.
