Snow chuckles.  "I sort of think that Valhalla Bound implies that we are strictly heroic types, which might limit out options as far as contracts go.  I like Purgatory's Interned better, as it gives us a bit of edginess, I think."

"Maybe," Sammy said, "but having a name that sounds like a heavy metal band might frighten some other potential employers.  We might have to think a bit more about this.  Something a bit more neutral like The Night Shift or The Aces can also be used."

Clem raised her head. "I actually like The Night Shift" said the ork, finishing her beer and pouring herself a new glass.

Snow nods at Clem and chuckles.  "I have to admit that each new name sounds better than the previous one.  I like a couple of the ones already mentioned, but I think I will wait to hear the final set of choices before voting."

O'Connor grimaced at Sammy's suggestions, "More neutral is one thing, but does the name have to be so bland?"

"I'd rather not have the police being able to track us simply by dropping the name," Sammy said, "as I'm sure you will do to."

O'Connor grinded his teeth for a moment. Sammy's condescension was starting to get on his last nerve. He drained his glass and refilled it before speaking. "The flip side of that is, what's even the point of having a team name if it's not going to stick out to a Johnson? We might as well call ourselves Beige Paint or White Bread. Those would actually be better since a doofy and ironic name would at least has some personality to it and not be in use by a million other teams."

Sammy's comment sounded strange to Clem. "We just came back from LA where runners willfully broadcast themselves for anyone to see, and you're worried a team name will make us easier for KE to track down? I don't get it..."

"That's LA, this is Seattle," Sammy simply said, "and while I did explain how things work in LA, I never said I liked that way of working, now did I?  And I'd rather have a name that's a bit more dull than a name that makes people think we only do assassinations.  And I'm not saying all your proposals are like that, but if we're going to have a team name, we have to think well about it."

Clementine acquiesced to Sammy's comment. "I'm with you on the assassination thing, and I said I liked the Night Shift. I would rather something general than a name that makes us prone to certain contracts or bars us from getting different type of work."

O'Connor couldn't believe how fast Clem folded to Sammy. He also didn't expect Clem to take Sammy's bitchy tone laying down like that. He ordered another whiskey, it the meeting kept on like this he'd need several more. He looked to Snow and Torley, "You two have any name ideas?" He really hoped one of them could come up with a name that most of them could get behind. Hell, he'd agree to about anything if it saved them from Sammy's drek covered Night Shift name.

Snow has been thinking about names.  "Would The Guardians be too bad?  After all, that is a lot of what we try to do.  Guard people.  Guard reputations.  Guard things."

After much back and forth, Torley's suggestion of Heaven's Devils won out. O'Connor still though his suggestion had more style to it, but was just glad that the dumb bland names lost out. He ordered a round of Irish Car Bombs, "To us, Heaven's Devil."

Snow smiles and joins in the toast.  "Heaven's Devils.  Now we just have to get a job.  Any ideas?"

Clem rolled her eyes. Heaven's Devils wasn't her first, nor her second choice, but the team had chosen it and she had to accept it. She raised her glass but remained silent.

"As for work" said the ork after a sip, "we will have to decide on one fixer, so we don't accidentally commit to 2 different things at the same time. It's my understanding that would be your area of expertise, right?" The last comment was directed at Torley, Clementine raising her glass in his direction.
