A home, as in a detached dwelling, would probably be outside the reach of most two-person families, unless it had some mitigating factor such as those already mentioned were present.
More common would be an apartment/condo in some proto-arcology, or a pod complex. If one were to find one that accomodated larger metatypes, it would give a bit more space, at the expense of odd looks from neighbors and things like chest-height countertops.
There's probably just enough value in providing the illusion of separation for megacorps to subsidize the construction of townhouses, and possibly even some really inexpensive tract housing. Probably nearly all prefab. Likely also nearly as easy to take down as to put up, in order that they can be leased/upgraded as with cars IRL, which is probably the most common model of financing them.
Housing, though not rare, will still seem tenuous, and one bad performance review away from being lost, to most wageslaves.
YMMV, of course.
